  1. Have you seen them?! For collectors of only system-scale sets they may be of little interest, but I am pretty sure they are not terrible, more likely great for what they are Now that Marcos Bessa is a full time designer again, hopefully he is busy designing the next DA expansion set
  2. I believe it is the pandemic so they can not have more people at work, in addition we are ordering more probably. Of course they are prioritising those with missing or broken parts, so we are last in line. Personally I do not mind much, for me it is most important that we can buy the parts if the price for that is that we must wait several weeks that is fine by me. The system is made for replacing broken and missing parts, the selling part is just a fan service they earn some extra on the side from. If people can not wait or do not bother to order from their system then they can just order from BL instead
  3. I do not think this is a big problem any more with ideas sets. It depends on the sales, but sometime next year at the earliest is my guess, so personally I am waiting for it to show up in other stores to see if I get a better price
  4. Maybe it is buildable chocolatefrog cards; Harry and Hermiones chocolatefrog cards
  5. Lucky you! If animals like that where in the PAB on the occasions I have visited Lego stores I would start buying PAB as well, I think I only have seen spiders there I asked and @Guyon2002 answered, he has some inside info
  6. While I mainly only collect system-scale (minifig) sets, I have the D2C Hogwarts and Hedwig and they both are fantastic sets. I am sure they are bestsellers so why would not Lego give us more of the same. Even if I am lukewarm to the news about the August wave I am sure the sets will look great and sell a lot. I hope we will get DA expansions sooner than later, because the longer they wait the greater the chance is that next time we get a DA based set it has nothing to do with the scale of the D2C Talking about non system-scale sets, I have not got the art set since I think the individual ones do not look good enough and it is not so tempting to buy 4, however this ones are excellent: https://www.brickfanatics.com/rebuild-lego-art-31201-harry-potter-hogwarts-crests-with-alternate-instructions/
  7. Me too, but until we get Castle or Western sets back I do not see sets with horses happening very often. I had good faith the HP chess set would give us 4, but alas no. A city farm subtheme will also give us some horses I guess, but that seems as likely/unlikely as the two other themes to pop up
  8. No way they will do it! The small sparrow mould made it into minifig sets, but that has "normal" eyes and is not unusually round in shape. However what the last few years has showed us is that new friends animals, will often get a minifig mould of the same animal in a year or two. I think this will happen even more now since we this year are also getting juvenile animals, which so fare has mostly been a friends thing
  9. Bad news, no horses in HP chess set 😢
  10. No horses in HP chess set 😢
  11. 🤬 😢 Thanks for the info 👍
  12. Still no news if it is moulded horses? I assume it is the pieces they play that is broken in front of the set, so it looks like a small minifig knight that Ron replace . However that do not say if the horse is moulded or not, but sure hope it is 🐴
  13. Yes, but only made from parts in production right It will have forest men as good as the designer can make them from minifig-parts in production, not new figs it would have gotten if it was an Ideas set. However it is fortunate that after several years without a Castle set, the blacksmith was just released so several useful minifig-parts there at least and probably bits and bobs can be found in other themes as well
  14. Cheaper than what, like e.g Harry you mean? My guess is that Lego pays a licence fee for every set they sell or maybe a total fee for the right to use the licence or both. Anyway the number of minifigs in sets do not affect the license cost, if Harry was a lot more pricey to include than the DP photographer they would not put him in every set Or do you mean CMF compared to sets? If so I assume the cost is the same, but the CMF has a higher budget so they can make more new moulds
  15. Well SW are not so focused on different movies in different waves either it seem to me, but I do not follow the theme to closely so could be wrong there Patience is not your strong suit is it, it is closer to half a year I am sure it will pop up in other stores soon, maybe it is selling so much that they do not have sets for other shops yet, if so that is good news in the long run and our chances of getting more DA sets
  16. Well that was last year when the HP sets where normal
  17. To try and narrow it down what the D2C could be if we assume it is from the two first movies and maybe related to the sets 20 years ago in minifig scale: 4709: Hogwarts Castle, yes several parts in 76389 4708: Hogwarts Express, no so it could be the D2C 4707: Hagrid's Hut, no, but to small unless they make a forbidden forest D2C and include it 4706: Forbidden Corridor, yes probably everything in 76387 4704: The Room of the Winged Keys, yes the chess in 76392 maybe the rest in 76387 4705: Snape's Class, not in summer, but we got it this year in 76383: Hogwarts Moment: Potions Class 4723: Diagon Alley Shops, no so hopefully the D2C however the AC 76390 could have parts of it 4721: Hogwarts Classrooms, not in summer, but only pick one of the Hogwarts Moment set from this year 4722: Gryffindor House, no but parts of it could be included anyway not the D2C since the 3 other houses would go crazy 4702: The Final Challenge, we get Quirrell at least, maybe even the mirror in a set 4701: Sorting Hat, maybe we get the hat mould in a set anyway not a D2C 4730: The Chamber of Secrets, yes in 76389 4729: Dumbledore's Office, could be part of it in the other sets at least the figs, anyway no D2C most likely 4728: Escape from Privet Drive, no, but parts could be in the AC 76390, not the D2C anyway 4714: Gringott's bank, no so hopefully the D2C however the AC 76390 could have parts of it 4727: Aragog in the Dark Forest, no, but to small unless they make a forbidden forest D2C and include it 4733: The Dueling Club, no do not think so, but we get most of the figs and no way it is a D2C 4726: Quidditch Practice, sound like we are getting something similar with Hooch at least, so probably not the D2C 4735: Slytherin, not exactly, but we get the scene before in 76386 with similar figs, anyway not the D2C since the 3 other houses would go crazy 4712: Troll on the Loose, no, but get everything beside the troll and hardly think that is a troll D2C 4731: Dobby's Release, no and the sock is a popular D2C suggestion however unlikely 4711: Flying Lesson, maybe we will get it or something related, anyway no D2C So what are we missing from the 2 first films this year: 4 Privet Drive and The Burrow (got both last year so no) Diagon Alley we got it last year, but there are a lot missing and would be fantastic if we got more buildings to add on Hogwarts Express have not gotten it since 2018 and is a likely D2C candidate, but would be a boring choice even it is the best HE we have ever gotten Hagrid's Hut and every forbidden forest scene is missing it would make a fantastic D2C if they do not make the "assault on Hoth" mistake again however so far they have prefered to make small sets from the FF Quidditch, maybe missing, and it would be a very colourful D2C, but a rather boring build I would guess Dobby's sock never happening What else are missing?
  18. I agree that the hand was not the best almost like the monkeys equivalent of a begging hellboy However it is a small mould and I understand the need for it to be able to grab things The tail looks good for hanging it from tree branches
  19. Thanks for the link I agree, had noting to do with HP. This sounds like great news to me, he is a fantastic Lego designer and now he is going back to do what he does best; design more Lego sets It seems like a lot of times fantastic designers are hired and make several legendary sets, then after a few years they rise within the ranks at Lego and end eventually up designing no sets at all any more. Makes me happy that at least one of the fishes are swimming the other way
  20. Yes, but if they are doing anniversary sets, they better put in lots of owls because they where everywhere in the old sets
  21. That lion cub looks amazing I am sure we will see it with stripes and spots and maybe even in black in the future, if not in a set then BAM or CMF Interesting to see the green crocodile, it looked very similar to the classic croc suddenly Not a fan of pearl gold so that owl is just a waste, would have been a 100 times more useful as a normal owl in a new colour for the flying mould
  22. I am not sure how they sort people, but it was everting from kids with parents to people that had retired and everything in-between, but I am sure the size of your collection do not matter at least You must sign the NDA first There is no point going on the tour hoping to see new stuff, maybe they have done it on tours several year ago, but we where not shown any future sets at all. We got a minifig of Captain America after a presentation of designing his new helmet, and I believe that was before it came in sets, and that was about it. You will learn a lot more about future stuff here
  23. The foal was in Paradisa/town We even get a juvenile elephant this summer Come on Instagram let me have a look at all the animals (it is almost like "it" knows I am desperate to get in and shows me strait to login)
  24. I doubt that it had much innpackt The short answer is YES! However it cost a lot of money so if you rather spend that money on Lego it is better to wait I think. When you get to a point where you have a lot of Lego and are comfortable to use that kind of money on a once in a lifetime experience then it is time to start applying
