  1. Finally, she's done: A SBB Re 460 with a single non finished EW IV wagon.
  2. A solution to get lights and two PF motors with two Battery boxes, two IR receivers and one pole reverser and no additional parts except the leftovers from the two HE sets: On the rear engine, I installed the pole reverser instead of the drivers seat: To converse channels, I connected the PF lights directly to the battery (the Lights now constantly light up) As the roof does no longer fit, I had to redesign it, and found a nice solution which only uses leftover parts from the set (incl. extras of small 1x1 bricks and slopes) With this design, it's now possible to turn the engine on or off or to connect a charger: And this is the end result:
  3. It is really a beatiful train, isn't it:
  4. I currently can't find the images, but it's fairly easy to open the Lipo. You'll need a flathead scrwedriver to remove the 4 plastic covers on the underside of the LiPo and a philips screwdriver to open the screws. On the red battery cover, you'll need to remove the screw completely. Then just swap covers and it'll fit somehow. It's not as sturdy as the way TLG intended to, but with some bricks around it works perfect.
  5. About powering the HE. I installed the full PF package in both engines, but reversed the motor on the rear one. Because when the motor bogie replaces the inner bogie, the gap between carriages widens. Had to remove the driver to get enough space for a polarity reverser. Currently trying to figure out how to add additional wagons and jakob bogies with my third set.
  6. Nice render you did there. The background image hides the incompleteness of it ^^ I have 8 GB installed, used over 4GBs of it, only about 200 paged. how long did the render take? My last one only needed about 5 hours incl. parsing. All Bevels, low radiosity, only one light source.
  7. Thanks @all. rendering in higher resolution fixed it for the most part. If anyone is curios: Download XLF. It's a 20'000 pieces XLF. Free to use for non-commercial use. Please credit.
  8. My Home PC, Win8 x64, Quad Core 2.4 GHz, 8GB RAM. This image has been rendered at 640 x 480.
  9. Could anybody explain why I get lots of white pixels in the rendered image?
  10. Finally a review about my most favorite Lego Train! And this Picture here, just shows how beautiful it is! It has a striking colour scheme, is versatile, and I really like it's 'pod' system. Sadly, some modularity of it is lost after converting it to PF.
  11. More likely than you may think: Brio has a subway train in it's catalogue: It would be interesting setting with nice play opportunities for TLGs next passenger train.
  12. It's getting bigger and bigger
  13. It's not an existing station. Just an amalgam of different styles found trough Switzerland, mostly for the platforms. I just had the idea of using giant LEGO bricks for buildings, as I have those big storage bricks. (See picture in my previous post).
  14. Space won't be a problem: More LDD Crashing on me every so many minutes:
  15. Never knew of centre pompidou. But here some new screens for you:
  16. Just an idea I had of using giant bricks. Hope you like the concept:
  17. Welcome to D! As some of you may noticed, I moved to a new house. Enough space, you may think. There is newer enough space! MUAHHAHAHAA!!!!1111oneoneone here some teaser images: and a low resolution 3DS video (no 3D though) Also, fasten your seatbelts:
  18. Nice flat bed car and containers. The car would look even better if you used the train buffers without plow, which are only used on heading cars (like engines or steering cars). So you're the reason the 6x16 yellow plates are rare? I need those for double cargo railway pods ;)
  19. Just two, one at the front, and one at the rear. I moved to a new house, more space only for Lego. I'll upload more videos and pictures some time late and compile that in a nice thread for convenient consumption. And thanks
  20. And here a video of it in action:
  21. I present to you my Cargo Railway:
  22. There was a thread around here when PF was still fresh. The IR receiver runs happily with a range of voltages, incl. 4.5V.
  23. Here my entry for long trains:
  24. That may be, i.e., most other countries use wider pantographs on their networks. It should look ok with the panthograph shoe part, but the new pantos only use one contact line (the older used two for better contact), also the wider pantos used by DB and other countries are as wide as the gauge, that would mean 5-6 studs, or 4-5 studs (or less) for a correct Swiss one. I let you decide what would look better. But I think a 5-6 stud wide panto should look good. Have fun
