  1. Looks great. Front door looks crowded, move the streetlamp to the left.
  2. I especially like your detail over the front entrance.
  3. I think it looks great. I like all the details, but you may want to find out if that sidewalk is allowed, or will you have to modify it.
  4. My thought is that the prizes in these big contests rarely suck. Even if the prizes are so so, a free Lego set is a free Lego set, and that doesn't make me enjoy competing any less. As far as the rules change, I feel that two months is plenty of time to refine my design to account for any new clarifications.
  5. A better use of those bricks would be to make the main walls taller.
  6. This is really fantastic. I love ships at that size; having the Falcon set really drives the point home that its a big MOC. Do you have plans to greeble and tile the outer surfaces?
  7. I use Lego, Legos and LEGO interchangeably, although i mostly use Lego, and to be honest I'm amused when it gets OCDFOLS bent out of shape. If I know I'm around one of them I might purposely say Legos.
  8. The underside looks good as well.
  9. As someone else mentioned, light. Not just light, but bright diffused light where the whole thing is illuminated without any real highlights. A bright cloudy day works best. No Flash and no direct spotlights. If you can place white surfaces on either side to reflect light on the sides of the MOC.
  10. As a matter of fact...I do like medium blue. What a neat set, I think I'll get it.
  11. I actually wish they would reorganize many of the bricks.
  12. I would also argue that Jabba's sailbarge is a location based set.
  13. Love the Vette, but I think that red cheese slope at the back needs to be one stud forward.
  14. I meant add some different desert colors, order them from Bricklink. It will make for a more complete concept.
  15. I do like the front heavy design with the long tail and dish. It has a Terminator Hunter-Killer vibe. I think you should use more dark tan/medium dark flesh, or some of those olive green cheese slopes from the new Orc Forge. What does the underside look like? I would be refreshing to see a Lego set where the underside looks good as well.
  16. To easily remove a background, put an easy to remove background behind your model. You don't have to get fancy, set your stuff up outside on a cloudy day and put some white poster-board under and behind your model. A good point and shoot, like the Canon S90, will give you very good results; while you can mess around with its settings, auto-macro mode has yielded some excellent photos. Its currently two generations old so its inexpensive to buy. Since you shot on a white background, cleaning the images up is easy; all you will be left with is shadows on the white and I desaturated them so they are only grey.
  17. I think you should exaggerate the size of the brick so they are more legible at minifig scale.
  18. I like that the ship was built by Bugatti. On an aside, I don't think Lego will produce it as there is no place for flick-fire missiles. Thumbs up though.
  19. I thought you were going to say criticising.
  20. And that's what I said initially. So now I'm confused.
  21. Looks great. I feel like the roof needs some details like gutters. What about a chimney, it gets cold in the winters? Love the colors and your choice in red bricks.
  22. I think this is more of a general Friends question, but does it seem weird to have several Olivias in an MOC? With a regular City MOC you could have several of the same Minifigs and it just feels like a group of townspeople, but since the Ladyfigs are named and imbued with specific personalities does having several of the same figs feel like a group of different girls or does it feel like you have several of the same person?
  23. They need a tire sticker for the black 2x2 tile on the front of the tan van; currently it looks like a nose and makes me think of the van from Dumb and Dumber.
