  2. Don't think you need to use spoiler tags for the second half of Season 4 anymore. They aired 3 months ago, and I believe some episodes are available on disc now. Anyway, it's been speculated that Cole's lack of reflection in the FSM's tomb means he's going to die at some point. The lack of reflection was not simply because he's a ghost (I believe it was Zane who said this?). I don't think his death will be permanent, we haven't had a main character permanently die at this point, though season 5 next year could change this if Morro and Garmadon stay dead. edit: d'oh, I'm stupid, completely missed the point of your post. Sleep deprivation does that You've got a really good point about what the ninja would wish for and how it could be used against them. I hope they're planning something along those lines, just so long as it's not wasted like Kai "turning evil" for Chen.
  3. I was skeptical of the "wishes into nightmares" thing they're planning, but if we're talking about a genie then that's pretty cool. After last season though... I imagine there's going to be plenty of plot holes and inconsistencies with his, hers or its powers. Can't wait to see the minifig now.
  4. butter.
  5. Any chance we'll get a special mech to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of Exo-Force?
  6. I don't suppose anyone has that .gif of the entire LEGO homepage covered in Chima stuff?
  7. They probably didn't do it because of budget reasons, and I would imagine Cole not showing up would have been a factor in some strange way.
  8. Seeing as the box art is of Jay... why not Stone Jay as the character?
  9. Looking forward to Tiger Widow Island now. Always loved home base locations over mobile bases. edit: Toys R Us Canada's website. Link to Tiger Widow Island
  10. The ninja lose their powers again. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. Other than that looks pretty good 11/10 IGN
  11. I've come across it before, though I could have sworn it was meant to be a trailer for LEGO Battles NINJAGO (what a title). Guess it isn't.
  12. That... would actually be a really good plot twist for a kid's show.
  13. Well, I can't comment on most of the sets until I've got them in hand, but I would like to say thank you to you and the other designers (in particular to whoever designed it) for giving the King's Mech knees. It's been so long since I've seen knees in a normal set
  14. I'll defend Pythor's return because it actually made (well, mostly anyway) sense. After Zane's death, which was done very well (ToE kinda screwed with it though) I don't think anybody actually believed Garmadon was dead. I actually laughed when they brought him back again, not just because everyone knew it was coming but because they immediately killed him again afterwards. Then again, I also loved Galactic Danceoff from Kinect Star Wars so my opinion is irrelevant NINJAGO was due for cancellation in 2013, but fan outcry kept it going. Should I spoil which year it was that was the reboot?
  15. If the four armed ghost is Garmadon, it's going to make death even more of a joke in this line than it's ever been. That being said, I seriously doubt they'll do that. It might not even be a ghost anyway.
  16. FTFY Clips for Merlock 2.0, Jestro and the Book of Monsters have been uploaded to the Nexo Knights website. Not much substantial in them, though the "omg itch bettuh than normal castle" theme is really starting to get on my nerves with Merlock's video. It also seems to confirm that Jestro is a pretty bad Jester (which has something to do with him turning evil) seeing as he can't hold the king and queen's attention.
  17. The PWR suits actually are real, and the concept art for them was found no later than 2011. They were never designed for use in NINJAGO's sets, but they were intended for use in the LEGO Universe crossover as player armor. The entire "season 3 was stone army and pirates!" was false to begin with, but the armor was legitimate and was even used by a number of knock-off brands.
  18. So... what exactly would be wrong with telling the president you don't like his policies? Sure, it's a bit rude, but would you rather people bow down and lie about their feelings or have them be open, but respectful, about their views? People are free to agree or disagree with LEGO's choice when it comes to labeling Nexo Knights as Castle. The opinions of those that agree are just as valuable as those that disagree. It's actually better to discuss stuff like this when LEGO's employees are present than when they are not, because it gives designers insight into what the fans think about upcoming products and allows changes to be made in the future. This allows for change to occur when needed, and it helps to see LEGO as human rather than some robotic corporate entity. Heck, it could be worse. No one is demanding the return of Alpha Team, Exo Force or some other discontinued line.
  19. I don't think you can really blame a lot of people for disagreeing with LEGO on the category they've put it in. While there is a wizard, and there most certainly are knights and robotic horses, you've also got to consider what else is in the theme. For an example, NINJAGO is not a castle theme, despite its predecessor (Ninja) being categorized as such. In NINJAGO's very first year, the only source of technology in the entire line was on the villain's side. Every instance of a "hero"-based set was either an oriental, Asian structure or a dragon. You would be hard pressed to find anyone that considered NINJAGO, even in its first year, a castle theme. Yet Nexo Knights, which is a far larger departure from the core ideas of a Castle theme, is somehow still a Castle theme. Which makes zero sense whatsoever, considering most (if not all) of the polybags are based on self-driven vehicles or mobile turrets, two out of main hero vehicle sets (three, if you include the robo-horse's transformation function) being heavily technology-based rather over a "medieval+" style like the Fortrex, and the remaining villain sets are so different you can't really argue the fine details of most of them regarding how much they fit in with even a fantasy view of medieval times. That's the problem with calling Nexo Knights a "Castle" theme. You have the hallmarks of a "medieval+" line, but at the same time it misses the point of a style like that by 5 miles when you give the heroes giant cars, stationary turrets and big hulking Mech suits. A great example of a "medieval+" style would be TLM's Castle Cavalry, where the futuristic vehicle in the set did not depart from a historically based art style. Nexo Knights does this very well in sets such as the Fortrex, but when you know there's going to be more giant cars in the future of this line than stuff based even remotely on history I don't think I can fault people for wanting to distance this from the traditional Castle sets.
  20. Speaking of the King's Mech, the name was such a wasted opportunity. They could have, and should have called it the Exo Knight
  21. None of the trailers ever showed Merlok using magic powers. None of them stated that the shields were powered by magic, but rather the exact opposite: "They can download incredible Nexo powers into their shields!". Download =/= magic Soul Gem transfer.
  22. Makes sense. They'll probably be better in-hand. I absolutely adored the Nanomech once I had it. Was worth the $6 I had to shell out on some awful kids magazine
  23. The technology in this is magic-powered? -50 hype Anyway, that Mini Fortrex is adorable. Love the look of these, but... magic? Seriously?
  24. For a moment there I was worried, until I saw these were Juniors sets The main line-up is... not great. If that's all we're getting for Kai's new dragon, I'm not impressed. The plane is a cool concept, but after how TLM handled "scrap vehicles" I think they could have done better.
  25. I don't exactly keep up with news about Elves, thanks for correcting me.
