  1. I really liked the last Creator Pirate ship; I'm very curious to see what this new one will be like. Between the two BDP sets (so far) this year and this ship, I'm feeling pretty good about this year as a Pirate fan. (My wallet wants to make me walk the plank though.)
  2. I'm liking this set more and more every time I see it--they did a really nice job with the minifigures considering the limitations. And the multiple flags (especially the historically inspired Jolly Roger design) are an excellent touch. It's expensive, but hopefully this will be a good option for folks who are in the market for an Imperial ship and missed out on the Imperial Flagship back in the day.
  3. It arrived today!!! I'm so excited; it looks so good on the box. I didn't take a close look at the animal and accesory selection until now. More seagulls, a cockatoo and a bunch of bananas! (I have a lot of bananas, but not a bunch, lol.)
  4. Mine is now In Warehouse as well--thanks for the heads up!
  5. I recently found out that the online LEGO Minifigure Factory has still has a Halloween design that's very useable for civilian pirate minifigures. Here's the one I made: As you can see, with a few additions, he makes a good merchant or settler: The print quality isn't great (you can definitely see the print lines) but it looks better in person than it does here. (For reference, you can barely see that red dot on his cravat when you're holding the figure.) And as part of a crowd of minifigs it's not really going to be noticable. It's a little pricey, but I'll definitely be making more of these--I was happy enough with the base design here that I didn't even get to customize it this time! There are a few other exclusive Pirate prints based on the Will and Camilla minifigures from the vending machine set (these were unavailable for a brief time, but they're back now) and some other Pirates and Goonies decorations that would make for fun custom figures.
  6. Woo! That looks great Chris! You've clearly been collecting for awhile.
  7. That's awesome! Did anyone else get theirs or have their order status change? Mine is still saying "in process."
  8. Sorry, no, they're not the torso designs from the set, but a range of Goonies t-shirts and such. I'm not a super fan of the movie, but a lot of them have some fun uses of classic swords, skulls, flames, etc. Very cool for fans of the movie, but not so useful for Pirate builders. They do have some neat decorations like the compass element, etc, that you can put on torsos to customize them too. I was surprised to find this cool looking design that I don't recognize from other sets, I think it's a Halloween exclusive, but it will very useful as a civilian Pirate minifigure. That's the one I ended up going with; I'll post a picture when it arrives!
  9. So on a whim I decided to try the Minifigure Factory "design a minifigure" feature today... I tried to do it awhile back but all the Pirate torso options were mysteriously gone. But today not only do they have Pirate options available once again, there's a whole range of nice Goonies torsos and decorations! Might check it out if you like the film; I don't know how long these last for.
  10. Mine is still In Process, I hope it's not stuck there...
  11. I really like the sail ripping swashbuckling feature--a great pirate movie stunt now in brick form!
  12. Added Winter 1990-1991 Brick Kicks.
  13. Hmmm, the pirate ship side actually looks a lot better than the Ideas submission, but the caverns aren't as neat. I'm a little torn there, but it's always nice to see a LEGO pirate ship set. Also kudos to them for doing the One Eyed Willy minifigure and the new Sloth hat mold. Just realized that with the Enterprise set we'll probably be getting two LEGO Datas back to back this year. 😄
  14. Wow, I don't think i've actually seen that Space Police one anywhere before!
  15. Love to see these! Thank you so much for taking the pictures and translating. Do you remember which issues these happened to be in? Donald Duck was always my favorite too but I had no idea as a kid how popular he was in other countries.
