Minifig: Samurai Right before the samurai commits seppuku in his home. -
Looking back at 2010, what do you think of last year's lego sets? Here are my thoughts. I buy sets mostly for parts and minifigs. So my views are biased towards that way. Themes: Atlantis: The new and most promoted theme. A solid theme with both giant monsters and vehicles. I like the monsters a lot more than the vehicles. The minifigs are wonderful. I own most of the sets because they are on sale so often. Castle: I'm more a fan of fantasy. The historical theme is a bit boring to me. Some of the traditional castle parts are revamped, which is nice imo. City: Not a big fan of city sets. But public transport station is a great part pack. Creator: Normally I buy a lot for parts, but this year the sets seem a bit expensive. Harry Potter: I missed the earlier waves, but I'm not really a HP fan either. The minifigs are great, can be used for both castle and city setting. The burrow and the castle have some good parts in large quantity. Hero factory: The new bionicle. I usually buy these for cool parts to use in sci fi moc. But last years' aren't as appealing to me, except for meltdown's nuclear containers. I want more of those. Power miner: Only 4 sets, but the miner's new silver outfit is very cool and fitting. Prince of Persia: My personal favorite theme of the year. We got tons of new mold like camel, ostrich, half arch, quarter dome. On top of that we got a new color, medium nougat? whatever its name. Minifigs are nice too. Space Police 3: Only 5 sets. Not the most interesting. Although the undercover cruiser's transforming mechanism is a nice surprise to me. Star Wars: Not a star wars fan, didn't care too much. Toy Story: Probably the most promoted license theme. I didn't like the minifigs that much, since they don't really fit into other themes, with a few exception. Still an interesting theme. Got tons of no-fig sets on ebay for cheap. World Racers: Looks like another one wave action theme. Not the most interesting, but for some reason I have most of the sets. I guess they go on sale often. Edit: And how can I forget Collectible Minifigs. These little evil packets changed the way we shop. I have yet to see so much anger from AFOLs until these came out. Brilliant move by TLG.

The blacksmith's new weapons look like that they come from the same "wheel" like the 5-piece tool wheel.
-
If you look at some other images from the same batch of videos, you can see loads of new microfig scale weapons, such as bow and axe, in these games.

The clock is built with + + + + 2 tools from . Hopefully that explains it.

By 3 accessories, do you mean 3 pieces besides head, headgear, torso and leg? -

I apologize again if I offended anyone. I didn't meant to cause any trouble, just trying to be the worst I can like the rule said. Now that the line is drawn, hopefully I didn't cause too much damage. -

Your suggestions are taken. But my point is still, your "safe side of inappropriate" is going to be different from others' "safe side". So my decision is to offend as many as possible to show no "discrimination". -

My reading of the rule "We want to see the warped, depraved natures of your imaginations put to work to come up with a series of four minifigures that would never see production in this politically correct world we live in. The more intense the better." tells me that the entry should be politically incorrect. Like I stated in an earlier post, the meaning of politically incorrect is different for different country and different political position. I'm not sure which 2 you consider over-the-top. I think they are all VERY offensive to different crowds. You consider these 2 to be over-the-top exactly because of your position. If the point of this contest is not to touch on politics and stay in the realm of sex and violence, then I'll change my entry. -

C could be hard, because something politically incorrect in one country might be different from what's politically incorrect in a different country. But we'll see what people come up with. -
It's not that fancy. No real clock mechanism My clock is 12-wide. Two 5 wide half arches with 1x2 plate might work, but I don't have that many arches unfortunately. Well, not my own town. It was apart of a city layout in a local show last weekend. But unfortunately I forgot to bring my camera. I'll see if I can get a pic from others.

This is my 4th or 5th tower in half year. But I just love tall things. I didn't have enough brick for the side wall. So I did a snot wall instead. This microfig is great as statue. Thanks.

Fantastic work! The way it's presented reminds me of traditional Chinese scroll painting, where you'll have a very long scroll with independent yet connected scenes. I think it's a great way to make large moc less overwhelming, yet still grand.
-
It is very pose-able. I'm in the process of making another mech. When that's done, I'll shoot a few battle scene.

One of my proudest moc, Alteizen Riese from the Super Robot Wars series pilot entering truck carrying some spare parts hangar by itself Alteizen Riese by itself More on my flickr

I wanted it to be a red vehicle with one asymmetric yellow stripe.

I haven't been building sci-fi stuff in a while. Here's one of my latest moc. It may transform into a up position front More on my flickr

You are welcome. I designed it in Universe mode, because a lot of bricks have never been made in the color I want, such as the brown curves. The brown head is Haruhi Suzumiya. But her ribbon is a bit small in my version.
-
Here is my LDD draft. It's quite different from my final version, mainly due to color limitation (tan clips were never made). Some articulations are also different. But this give you a good idea of the techniques I used. I'm certain that my original inspiration didn't use my technique to invert the cheese slopes. So there could be more than one way to achieve the same effect.

Inspired by brickshelf user tkh's moc, I decided to make one myself. Mio from anime K-on back some action It can stand on itself, but not very stable. Thanks for watching. More on my brickshelf and flickr
