    You can probably 3D print a transition track piece from LEGO to G gauge to join the two. Local libraries may have 3D printers to use. Mine does and it is cheaper than using Shapeways.

    Welcome to Eurobricks. I've been using the 3d printer at the local public library. That can be an option in meantime.

    I answer the AFOL and LEGO store shopping surveys too. I don't recall seeing re-release quesions either. We really don't know who else or what other methods they used to do their market studies. Maybe senior management just said do it last minute and everyone scrambled. This could be a good question to ask the LEGO rep at the next AFOL convention Q&A session.

    I think it is also dependent on which shipment method you selected. Some of it can depend on the reliability of your country's postal service. You didn't mention which country you're in and shipping method chosen at checkout. As mentioned, you can check the status online of your order if you didn't get a shipping notice email.

    Do you have a young child who likes to help you cut the lawn? Do you have more brick separators than you know what to do with? Why not make child size toy weed whacker?
