I didn't know flame peices existed in trans-yellow... Are they new from this year?
-
Loool, are they afraid of war? They're facing backward X-D And yet again, they manage to hire some wierd people who forgot to think while building the models :-D I suppose you can't break a constant in toy fairs... Asajj : yurgh, she seems to be stuck in some perpetuated state of awestruck... And they should have used a slope piece for the dress, like thy've always done before, IMO... she doesn"t look deadly at all... but I do love the hilts

Any news or photos on Toy Fair London or NYC??
yellost replied to gusmoore17's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It's from the new film by the Wachowsky Brothers (who did Matrix) and based on the old animated serie. You can find a trailer here And it looks like it fits in behind the "monkey lizard" sticker. Nice, that's just what I was about to ask X-D I love that RGS more and more. The V90 too, but COME ON! $50! 8- -
I don't know about you, but to me, this one is screaming Mario Kart in the LEGO Batman universe... (Makes me wish they'd do a new LEGO Racers... The first one was and still is the best racer game I've had on my computer ever) I'm definitely getting that one *wub* (besides, it's got Mr Freeze cheap, all the more to it *y* ) And the design of the tumbler is slowly growing on me... though it still needs to be rid of those lame side missiles...

I wouldn't say it's the master piece of MY collection but it is one of its best sets :-D And it is another one I'm glad I missed its previous incarnation (along with the MTT, X-Wing, B-Wing, snowspeeder and Boba's Slave 1). Though I do have some complain, like th cockpit is a bit too big compared to the main body and the mandibles too small. But that's only minor issues... Oh, and my masterpiece is the first AT AT (Which I'm sooo glad I didin't miss, considering the new motorised one doesn't look half as good :-P ) Well, Actually it's the UCS ISD, but its greatness takes him in an entirely new league compared to the other sets, so in this one, it's the AT AT.

coool, that's a very intersting mechanism... Now you just have to manage to include it in your building with a ramp to the furnace X-D I just think that the bottom legs look a bit weird, though... But it's really good

Wow, I can't believe how much details you managed to cram in there! 8- -
Er, I'd love to take part in all the fun to be had here, but what's an Oreo? 8-| **slowly backs away in case he's just uttered a blasphemy...**

I noticed those on the side wings but I didn't realised thay put some on the center wing as well... somehow it gets me a bit worried as to the symmetry of the thing, now... ah well, from this side, it looks good anyway.

Hey, I liked Blair Witch Project :-P I saw it not long ago. I found it rather well done. It was just missing an end (but I think it was a trilogy, although I'm not sure) I haven't seen Cloverfield so I can't say about that one, though.

Sail Barge, definitely. The ISD looks way too weird, and the inside looks far too unfinished. Beside, it's got a FLAT BOTTOM!!! And unlike the Y-Wing, where after the UCS version they gave us a much improve minifig one, the ISD looks nothing like its impressing UCS counterparts... Whereas, while the SB is indeed out of scale too, it still captures its original shape in a manner that I find impressive every time I look at it. it indeed comes from the Shadows of the Empire media (the comics, the video game and the book) and its after it gained so much popularity that George Lucas decided to include it in the special edition of A New Hope in 1997. NB: Brickster, what's that symbol in the middle of your banner for the poll? I can't quite make it out and it intrigues me...

That single sentence got me laughing my head off for Half an hour... (yeah, I know, I can be weird sometimes... But you have to agree that the image could be disturbing X-D ) Nice interview... again. It's great to get to know the people of this fine community... Keep'em coming Leprechauns (I think)

Thanks, I didn't notice those... I really wonder how the whole thing works now... Can't wait to get my hand on these...

Excellent, I love the wing mechanism of that V19 and the way all the wings seem to be connected to move at the same time... but *yoda* , I don't see what you mean by those pneumatics... where are they? And that closed RGS... *wub* *wub* Even better than with the open doors... *y* *y*

Thanks a lot for the review. The set looks fantastic, although the handle thing seems a bit too long and not really necessary once that useless shooting stuff has been discarded... But still I love it... Unfortunately, I suppose I'll have to passit, it being an exclusive and all :'-( (which I can never find anywhere...) By the way, is it because it's an exclusive that it's the same price as the Dwarves' Mine?

Come on you big tease! Ain't it done already? :-P It's long past tonight here ;-) Damn, I can't wait...

The New Jedi Order is the best there is, IMO, but to really enjoy it, I think you need a fairly good background knowledge of the earlier EU events, as it draws on everything that's happened in the 25 years before it (Rogue Planet, the X-wing serie, Dark and Crimson Empire comic series, Jedi Academy serie, the Corellian trilogy, the Junior and Young Jedi Knights series and so on). It isn't really necessary, but it does give it a whole new depth and feel of authenticity...

Well, I wouldn't have minded a few studs that way if you stop in the middle of a turn you could sleep without worrying about the cat knocking the pieces all over the board :-D

Well, I do know R A Salvatore... Every Star Wars fan should. After all, he's the one who killed Chewbacca in the first book of the New Jedi Order serie :-P As for Raymond Feist, I've tried to read Daughter of the Empire, but I wasn't really caught in it and I've stopped before the end... One of the best fantasy work I've read was the Dragon Prince serie. It's a six parts by Melanie Rawn. Her characters are some of the best written and most emotionaly human I've ever read. And the story itself is fantastic.

I just finished "Sandworms of Dune", the latest and final book of the Dune serie... I have mixed feelings about it. I can't help wonder what the original writer would have done if he hadn't died before finishing it. Now it's his son who finished it by following some lay out left by his father (or so he says) but after reading all he added to the serie, it feels weird... He wrote 2 prequels of 3 books each before where he introduced a lot of new notions which come back in his final chapter (but there isn't even a hint about the main one in the original serie). In the end I don't know what to think...It wasn't bad at all, it's just that it doesn't really fit in the original continuity (at least that's my opinion...) Now I'm starting "Life, the universe and everything", part 3 of the H2G2 serie...

I bought the TIE Crawler and the Hailfire Droid. I didn't think I'd get the TIE Crawler, since I found it way too expensive in its RRP but I got it on sale, so it's become an OK deal with the price it should have had from the start. The overall set is really nice anyway. And the Hailfire Droid is *wub* *wub* Oh, and I found one rebel soldier, too. Since I'm not into army building, I'm quite happy with one of each fig, so that way I won't need to get the BP's and I can save my money for other sets (Namely, the AT AP :-$ )
