If you want other things, go with LEGO friends as it is made for girls and thus is the only theme that has details and animals. Let us thank their marketing research department for all of this.

You think you are making an amazing deal, but all the time and space that they will take from you make them so not worth it. It is a flexible (literally) part, so you can just do that and attach it to some of the insertion points in the back of the torso. Maybe using those hybrid pin-stud pieces if necessary.

The lack of cape in CM5's Sherlock makes me sad.

The face is funny in the fair pictures, but masks have been ridiculous for long. Also, even fair pics are still preliminar, we don't know yet if all molds are final and we are unable to tell which set uses stickers and which just didn't have time to be printed. Speaking of print, that's one way in which all sets can drastically change for the better or the worst when released.

I don't have close experience with Black phantom. Something nice about him for parts is the trans shells. But otherwise I won't opine. In regards to WD vs Scorpio. If you just want parts, I would go with 2x Scorpio definitely. It has a lot of very generic pieces, and that is a good thing. Witch doctor is interseting as a tall set and probably the tallest HF set we will have for a while but a lot of its pieces are just large white armor or long bones (And of course, a lot of technic stuff you can easily get in bulk already) which are not as versatile as the large amount of bones and black shells from scorpio in my opinion.

Please note that TLG had to pay for the kiddy craft patents. Paying for patents is an effort that is unknown for clone brands. Also, although the standard brick patents have expired, TLG probably has not stopped getting patents for specific elements, and if you look at the pieces, it seems like every mold is copyrighted. I am not sure what amount of protection copyright can give to molds. But I think that MegaBloks are doing a much more honest and less risky work than Kre-O, as Kre-O are downright copying some elements that are very recent. I have encountered a large amount of clone brand bricks, from BTR (now called Kre-O in an attempt to save themselves from negative image), megabloks and cobi. Some megabloks years are better than others and cobi are always near the top, but the clutch power is never the same. Plastic color is most of the time so bad that you can spot them easily too. In my experience, [[TLG have much better quality than clone brands]] is not the worst generalization you can make.

Not really. I am not talking about boxes being bigger than needed. But they are large. The stuff inside the boxes are also large. So kids that want big stuff prefer that. Eventually, you grow up and figure out that the 'play' part of playmobil is just as fun as the play part of minifigs. But all the sets you had are now useless because you lost 10% of the pieces. In the case of LEGO, even if you had only 10% of your collection left, it is still useful. The most annoying thing is that playbill stuff are often just too hard to disassemble.

Patent for bricks expired and the other pieces are similar but not identical. Transformers in general are horribly overrated and the bricks are still poor quality anyway. Nothing for TLG to worry about.

More vehicles. "yay". The blue house is cute, but I think the Friends sets have more juice in regards to well detailed and beautiful houses. And since the Creator one comes with a single minifigure that's just a single one minifigure ahead of Friends.

Exactly, the color scheme is there to pander to us. "So you like purple, lime and gold? HAVE THIS!". But the combination of these rare colors looks so messy to me. I think purple needs a generic color to balance it. It works great with black and some HALO megablocks tank seem to suggest me purple would look good with bley, stone or silver. But only lime and gold can be a worse combination than purple and lime...

XT4 easily beats Nex and Speeda Demon, proud members of the awful color scheme club. A club to which all heroes from the previous wave belong to. Add up Rocka 2.0 and Fire lord and there's plenty of sets worse than XT4. Edit: Plus all 6 heroes from the "please break the sockets of these pieces that are useless for MoCing anyway" club from wave 1.

Samurai mech is the best system set in years. My only regret is that at 39.99 I won't be able to buy two of them so I'll be unlikely to be able to use its useful parts in other things.

From what I am looking, they will have the text "403 Forbidden" in their torsos.
