  1. Thanks for the links Berry, new to me... I love the Monkey Island Melee created.
  2. Have we figured out what peices exactly this cannon takes... how can we find the necessary peices on peeron?
  3. Where did we leave off with this? I for one don't have to have a incentive... Let's just start posting some MOC's again...
  4. Here are the rest of my torsos... just save, resize and print... Admirals: Solidiers: Merchants II: Capt. Bloodheart:
  5. As promised here are my torso designs as seen on some of my minifig MOC's already released... Blackbeard Merchants, (green, gray and red) Sailors without coat (arms should be yellow) Sailors with coats (make arms match coat color...) Moderators please feel free to shrink images, and re-edit...
  6. Nice build. I think this has some firepower... Just a small detail but I think your flags should be blowing the other direction... otherwise where is the wind in your sails :) Looks like you can fit quite a few soldiers on the vessel. Fine work, thanks for the share.
  7. Just you wait! I have created some, soon to post!
  8. All the more respect if he were 12...
  9. I usually keep them in the customized form... I mean who needs soccer, harry potter or town figs?... I'm pure pirate theme, and all other lego figs are just canvas for pirate MOCs. Now the problem is what do I do when my collection becomes too big...:)
  10. MAJOR inspiration... when you see one going for 20 USD on the auction site... you think, self there needs to be more of them...
  11. Thanks Capt. Roger... when I get some time I'll post my unique additions to this awesome tutorial... Classic-castle.com has an excellent tutorial. I luckily have Photoshop and some background in the program. Finding the matte photopaper with an adhesive back was awesome.... otherwise a whole lot of patience. For the tutorial visit http://www.classic-castle.com/howto/articles/Torsos.html There is a great download with the lego color palette to match the colors. Thanks for all the encouraging words.
  12. I have always been a big fan and I have his work bookmarked. His custom minifigs have much to be desired but I think they were very progressive for doing them without the aid of the computer and by hand. I think it speaks volumes of the imagination and creativity in his head.
  13. I struggled deciding when and how to flood the forum with some custom minifig MOC's... I just hope others will think custom minifigs because I think there is a lot of room for exploration...
  14. I do have higher resoulution photos but I wanted to error on the side of not stealing to much space... I can make them available on Monday. Tell me what you think of Gibbs hair... I modified a Obi head peice which makes a great 'wig' but it's not there yet... I think I'm finished with the POTC line until this next summer... I just wanted to take a stab at it... Thanks for the comments... and critic.
  15. I feel it's appropriate to give credit to "Iron Alchemist" a member over at the Minifig Customization Network for his work on a Jack Sparrow. This was the inspiration for Blackbeards attire. I'm a pirate but I do stick to a code... http://www.minifigcustomizationnetwork.com/forum/2997 I should also mention... in the past I've printed off my decals at a FedEXKinkos or chain copy shop, they have great color printers and usually have Photoshop... Just don't spend much time because they charge for use by the second! hinkley39 is right on the money with his comments, change mode to CMYK, my big color match problem is usually grey but everything else I think I've figured out... stupid Harry Potter figs!
  16. You may want to ask about smoking, non-smoking when you chat with the seller. I've bought some really stinky legos in my day... but mostly you can clean any legos... mostly.
  17. Bonaparte, I've been meaning to say, I absolutely love your designs. Especially your Bonaparte torso! Fantastic work, you give me so much inspiration.
  18. Thanks BrickMiner... ya, I actually have original Lego solidiers coming out of my ears and so I've reverted to sticking with them until I can create something better I like. There's a fine line I haven't figured out with the soldiers as to detail... too much makes them busy... not enough their not soldiers- haven't figured it out quite yet. And BrickMiner... which soldiers were you talking about specifically- I've created a lot of crappy soldiers! :)

  25. Ahoy, I've been so busy lately but I had an itch to create... and create I did. Introducing my version of Blackbeard! He has a custom face and torso made in Photoshop and I recently built my version of his ship "the Revenge" which I will soon post. Also introducing his two custom crew mates "fleshpatch", and "leakyboot". But why stop at one villian, in the world of SirScottLego "Bloodheart" was Blackbeard's onboard surgeon until he saw the lucre of the pirate life now he is death on the sea, and pirate in his veins.... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/steicher.../blackbeard.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/steicher.../freshpatch.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/steicher...s/leakyboot.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/steicher.../bloodheart.jpg the complete custom pirate folder can be found at: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=207645 I hope to add the torso jpegs to the library soon.
