I like it a lot! (And I barely post!) I've been wanting to build a small engine, and this is inspiring! Boxy and generic isn't bad, especially if that means it isn't overly complex to build/find the pieces, and I'm sure it could be more fleshed out later. I would love to see how this performs in real life! Especially that technic frame built around an L Motor, very interesting.

Really great! I had no idea that the original set had so many pieces in dark red! It definitely looks like it belongs on the modular street! I like the half stud off set on the second floor, keeps the buildings face from being too "flat", I like the fences by the roof too, I think you nailed the feel you were going for!

So! I got some more info on the event! It turns out we will getthe black friday promo if we spend $100 or more, I was told earlier that we would not. Also, we ge that special gift that the first 100 people get who enter the store on Black Friday get. Which reminds me, the store is opening at midnight on black friday this year! I feel bad for the employees :(

Hi guys, long time lurker of the Forums, first time poster. I was very tied to the Burlington MA Lego store for 3 years, and it's interesting to read comments about it. Anyways, I cannot find any info about this event. I called the store and the associate wasnt very helpful. I know VIP members at this event in the past could spend $100 and get the black friday set, but i was told there was no promtions for this VIP event other than the 75$ calendar. I was also told there was no discounts and no special sales sets, no PAB boxes, and no scratch cards, and no giveaways (like the bracelets in the past.) Has anyone had any luck with getting info from other stores? As it stands now, I have no real incentive to rsvp... Unfortunately Lego seems to be cutting back on a lot of the cool promos they used to do for customers Also guys, I think the invites are based on the amount of money spent at the store divided by your distance in miles. For example, I live less than a mile form the mall, and spent less than 2k on Lego and got invited, but someone who lives further away but spends more might not? Also, that european invite was interesting! The US one was so vague.
