Of all the great detail in here, for some reason I'm loving the Wall/Gate/Tower at the front the most. It's really doing it for me. Great work all around.

Personally don't see the problem with the brick construction of the original either. What let it down was the poor and somewhat random 'weathering technique' they used. Just random different coloured bricks all over the place. The use of smaller plates in the link posted by Sasbury would give a much better effect on brick built sides, even in a smaller model.

Well to be honest mate, and believe me, there's no offence intended by this, but maybe get back to just cutting and pasting your daily shop4me deals and the like, and worry less about trying to thank every second poster for their contributions and acting like a thread 'community leader'. The above post seems a bit overly unnecessary given that the section Mod has recommended sticking to the topic at hand. Maybe you could talk to Rick or the admins about starting a more 'general' Aussie community thread if you feel this one is lacking something. Personally I find it helpful when I can just skip to the important 'gems of information' spotted by posters at various stores and locations without having to trawl through discussion of upcoming sets that I've most likely read ad nauseam in other threads. Again. No offence intended. Just my 2 cents worth.

It's a good shop. They only open something like 6 - 7.30pm? weekdays, but are open during the day on the weekend. Nice guys and knowledgeable too. They love a good chat about Lego.

Tough decision. If it could be guaranteed that Mt Doom would be a Last Alliance based set then it would get my vote. Not going to happen though. So I'll go Lothlorien as well.

Good observation. Looking at the photo again it seems we are just assuming that the '2 new figs' text belongs to the cantina, when it could more likely be part of the 75051 Jek-14 set. Which means the three Squidward placeholders could either be 3 Bith Musicians, or 3 entirely new figures.

Mt Doom with the hope that it includes any element of the Last Alliance gets my vote.

Great work. Love it. Particularly like the recessed wall booths.
