  1. Yeah. A lot of times these Toy Fairs are set up quickly by people that don't really pay attention to detail. It looks like the Clone Trooper on top of the CTT has a Hoth helmet. I wish there were detailed pictured of Slave I.
  2. I am really surprised we haven't seen any new pictures yet. When are these sets going to come out?
  3. Wow. Very nice MOC. This is a great use for the lackluster Mountain Fortress.
  4. That is a great list, but unfortunately wishful thinking. I agree with you that Lego needs LOTR sets, and all of these would be great. It is too bad Lego doesn't hold the license to LOTR. What I like about your list is that while it includes more sets than Lego would ever produce, the sets are realistic. A lot of people make lists with 20 or 30 figures in each. Your list is realistic from that perspective.
  5. I hate when Lego bundles sets that don't really go together. A set with a Phase II Clone Trooper that isn't really CW and then 2 CW BP's that include Phase I Clone Troopers? Personally I am not a fan of that.
  6. I think that while it would be cool, it wouldn't be practical for Lego. I don't think a lot of kids or adults want to build up a Mandalorian Army.
  7. After seeing clearer pictures, both of those sets look a lot more impressive. I can't wait until we get more official pictures of all of the new sets.
  8. While the Slave I and CTT sound accurate, Grievous' Starfighter sounds a little high. While it appear to be much bigger than the old one and includes a new figure design for Grievous, it only includes three figures total and doesn't really look to be worth $60. Don't mean to price rant. Just wanted to put my two cents in.
  9. I think the most disappointing thing about this set, (besides the price), is the fact that the SBD has two normal arms. I was really hoping that Lego would continue with the "rocket arms" that they used in the CW ATT.
  10. After looking at some of the pictures again more closely, I have to say that in my opinion the new Turbo Tank looks extremely similar to the old one. Except for of course the wheels and maybe a new turret on top, the body looks almost identical, which personally I don't like. I felt like the last one just wasn't a very good design. Hopefully I am wrong and they have made improvements that warrant a purchase to the new one.
  11. I think instead of purely American scenes, Lego could look at the world and pick a specific event from a number of countries and make simply an "International History" theme. That way every country could get a little piece of their own history.
  12. I really do love this show. I didn't start watching when it first premiered, but ever since around the 4th season I have watched non-stop. I really like how they added a whole new cast of characters while keeping the old ones as side characters. I love the chemistry between all of the characters in the show, and the episodes are always original. House is definitely one of the best characters on television today. It's hard to imagine that he is British. I hope the show goes another season or two. Any more would be pushing it.
  13. I am not a big Tim Burton fan, but I might go and see this movie. It definitely looks kind of creepy, and the filming and CGI style looks a little too out-there for me. Still, I might have to see it.
  14. Not to start an argument, but what do you mean by "most of us are matured"? I am sure a lot of adults love to play online as well.
  15. So far it looks like the PS2/3's are much more popular than the Xbox's and 360's. Personally, this is surprising to me. Almost all of my friends have 360's. I only know one person who has a PS3.
  16. I think the most we could hope for would be 1 Rebel Endor Trooper. The pattern is that Lego comes out with 2 Battlepacks a year, one from each side. And they rotate, one year doing the Clone Wars and the next the Original Trilogy. I have a feeling our 2011/12 Battlepacks will be Endor rebels vs. empire, considering first it was Rebel Fleet Troopers, then Hoth Troopers.
  17. As far as I can tell, no. The only difference with Lego would be the figures included. I would kind of like one from Endor just because it would have some nice Endor figures.
  18. Probably one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. The special effects were breathtaking but not over the top, and the 3D was subtle yet made the movie even more amazing. And while the movie was a bit cliche, the story was still amazing and very original. And to tell the truth, box office numbers don't lie. Every movie that has made of 1 Billion dollars has been amazing.
  19. I really hope these sets are better than the last ones. No offense to anyone that loved them, but it felt like there were simply too many of them in the beginning. And then they kept coming out with different versions of Hogwarts and the train, and it was just too much. I hope this reboot is successful.
  20. I definitely agree with you when it comes to the mouse. It makes it so much easier when it comes to FPS games to control where you are shooting and going. You can be a lot more precise with a mouse than a stick. When I first started on the 360, I missed the mouse. Now, I am used to it though. My problem with the PC was a money problem. My computer was kind of low-end, and I didn't feel like spending a lot of money to get a really nice gaming one. I would upgrade the ram and video card, but the computer was just too old. And you are right, consoles make it much easier to play with someone while not being online with split-screen. One time I made a copy of a game onto another disc so me and my brother could play each other online on separate computers.
  21. Obviously, there are many choices for gamers when it comes to selecting the perfect console. Some go for the user/family friendly Wii, while others like handheld gaming like the PSP. Each system has their own strength's and weakness's, with both good and bad features that we are forced to deal with. Mind you, this is not a topic to hate on the console you don't have or start a big argument over which one is better. This topic is simply a discussion of why you chose your particular gaming machine. I will start... For years, I played games on the PC. This wasn't because I thought the PC was better, but because my dad would not allow video game consoles in the house. While I liked the PC (because I didn't know any better) I was always frustrated with the limitations due to high system requirements. I had not become a problem until Empire: Total War. I bought a new graphics card, but the computer was simply too old to handle the game at decent graphics. I was determined to abandon the PC. I got a Wii, which was fun for a wile but got boring. My dad allowed this because it was more of a family system. With games like Guitar Hero and Mario Kart with Wii is great, but for any other games like COD it isn't worth it. So, my dad finally relented and I was able to get a HD console. I had to chose between the 360 and PS3. But, the choice was easy. Most of my friends are on the 360, which made the decision for me. Plus, we already have a Blu-Ray player, so the PS3 would have served little purpose there.
  22. That is what an Imperial Shuttle is. It is referenced sometimes as an Endor Shuttle because the shuttle gets the most screen time when it takes them to Endor. But, near the beginning of ROTJ, that same shuttle is seen taking the Emperor to the Death Star. So it is an Imperial Shuttle. So, is lament terms, they are the same thing.
  23. While I was not a fan of the first two, this one looks much better because it is more story-driven, unlike 1 and 2 which were simply for multiplayer use. It appears from the footage that you play a lot of the game as a main character, apparently a clone trooper. I like the addition of a lot of vehicles, including Slave I and A-Wings. The gameplay looks greatly improved, both on the ground and skies. The ability to go from flying in orbit to in space looks incredible. While this footage was leaked a while ago and the game is going to change, it looks promising. And Darth Sion, just because it isn't posted on the official Star Wars site doesn't mean it isn't real. In the video game/movie industry, most things are unofficially announced and leaked before they are given the big announcement. And the footage looks pretty real to me. While the quality is bad, the gameplay is different enough where it would be really hard to change BF 2 around a little bit. How do you explain the new ships and such? Just because LA hasn't released a statement doesn't mean it isn't going to happen. Don't be so pessimistic. You don't have to shoot everybody down and try to crush their hopes.
  24. While I am glad that Lego has shifted back to Humans vs. Humans, I am not sure how I feel about the sets. It appears that the theme will include many new and redesigned accessories, including new helmets, swords, and horse pieces. After looking at all of the pictures, the theme looks a little too childish. With all of the bright colors and more Playmobile-style accessories, it feels as if it is a total shift away from former Castle themes. I think part of the problem with KK is that it was such a dramatic shift from former Castle themes that people didn't like it. While the fantasy theme was a bit different, the designs of sets and accessories felt classic and like classic castle sets. This new theme looks a little too radical for me and almost feels like an attempt to simply please children, which while I know is Legos main audience, makes the theme feel weak. But, the are preliminary pictures. So we will see.
  25. I do have to say I am not a huge fan of Palpatine's Shuttle. I just think the colors look too random. It almost looks like a bad MOC.
