I kind of stole your idea for an artillery gunner, but instead I used the same torso, and red pirate bandana, and red pants with the black waist part. They look like soldiers from one of the special brigades (can't think of the name) during the civil war fighting for the Union. Using seperate figures for artillery creates a kind of distinction and makes it so you can have more soldiers even if you don't have more Union Blue torsos.

What does this have to do with Legos.

A completley new, orignal idea!!!
SWMAN replied to Zaktan of the Shadows's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Sounds interesting, but like others have said, Hasbro doesn't want to give up their toy rights. The only reason lego can make Star Wars is because Hasbro doesn't really own the toy rights. Still, it would be cool. -
The first two movies had great legos, but then they started making less and less for each movie, until just one for the new movie. A series can't survive with just one set.

Nice additions. I have a few suggestions though. First, you should mkae it bigger so that all of your troops can fit in it to fight and you should also add more guns. Second, try to expand the opposing army so you can make a diorama with a battle going on. Other than that, great fort.

I am suprised Lego hasn't already pursued the Taun Taun, after the release of Lego Star Wars 2, which showed them. It would not be that hard of a figure too make, and you could simply have a saddle like the horses for the figure to sit in. I am suprised one was not released with the Hoth Base, but maybe it will be in a later BP.

Looks like lego is going to take full advantage of the new Clone Wars series to come out with some new and remodled sets for fans to buy. This plus he live action series coming out in 2009ish will definetly give Lego plenty to work with.

Jabba's palace, Jango Fett's slave one, Republic Gunship, AT-TE, AAT. I would also like to see a RBR in mini-fig scale, as well as an Endor Bunker and some more BP.

Asylum and King's Castle bargain in the US!
SWMAN replied to oo7's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Even for 50 dollars, the castle isn't really worth it. I bought it when it first came out, and was a big let down. The castle only has a front, and due to the fact that it was a limited edition set, and they didn't release any other to go along with it, playability is not very good. Also, Lego went back to the good old days, where you had to put stickers on shields and banner, which was one of the things that killed the set. Not only is it a pain to do, but if you aren't good at stickers, they turn out really bad. The low down, don't buy it, even for half off. Save your money for some of the new castle sets, which look amazing. -
Any new pics since the first blury one.

Nice, but more battle droids, and some wookies.

Not available in US...Yet!

You spend way too much time thinking about this kind of stuff. Noboby even notices any of these things. It seems to me you are just looking for problems.

Can you please translate?

I wish that the body was more complete, but they have to make room for all the moving parts. I do think the head is actually better though.

Lego probably feels that it was not a strong enough set to rerelease. They feel that there are better new themes that they can produce, that will cater to a new group of builders.

Pretty cool, but I want more figs. At least one more snow trooper, 2 rebels, and a turret. But, I am glad it looks like the one they made a few years ago and not the Mindstorm one that was just a bunch of technic pieces.

I think they are a million times better than the old ones. The only thing is that they only have one new arm. Other than that, they are great.

skeleton design discussion (new and old)...
SWMAN replied to Brick Miner's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The old skeletons were nice, but too wobly. You couldn't have it hold anything becuase its arm would fly everywhere. The new ones aren't perfect, but they can hold stuff. Lego needs to add twistable hands. -
Exactly! Also, I cannot wait for some pics. I know they will come out eventually, but it is hard to wait knowing what we are getting.

Every once and a while Lego comes out with a new mold or two for figures. If they only used molds they already had, nothing for Star Wars would look authentic. Darth Vader would have a black head with a round helmet on top, no detail, and stormtroopers the same thing. Eventually, Lego has to make new molds to make the set authentic. I would bet money they will make a RBR sometime in the next few years.

I agree with you about the Tantive IV that is minifig scale. I mean, they made the Imperial Star Destroyer minifig scale. Why not the Tantive IV? Have vader, leia, antilles, a few stormtroopers and rebel soldiers, and r2-d2 acn c3po

Very impressive. I love all of it. Now you just need an opposing army.

The Most Important thing to do... Tip: Take a few minutes to think about what you are buying, how much it is, and how much you are going to use it. I have made the mistake of impulse a 100 dollar set before. Not smart.

70 bucks is outrageous, but they know that people will pay it. They can charge this much by calling it exclusive. Still, it is a great set.
