I am overwhelmed. That is truly an amazing set. Though I have not bought Lego for some time, I am considering going back to get these cool Space Factory Sets. Original space was before my time, so I never experienced the theme. This set looks truly amazing.

WOW! Both of those MOC's are amazing. I love the level of detail that you put into all of it.

Great job. This should probably be moved to Star Wars Subforum.

Bionicle 2001 and beyond: An essay of personal thoughts.
SWMAN replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I got a few sets when they first came out, but was never a big fan. I like minifig sets and stuff a lot better than the large scale Bionicle stuff. I never really got the stories either. I always thought they were kind of repetitive. -
Help choose a Lego Star Wars 10th annaversiry set (2009) Part 2 - Voti

Well, then don't complain about the lousy choices. If you didn't like them, you shouldn't have voted. Lego can't please everybody. -

What are you talking about decent sets to pick from. Those are both amazing sets that would be really sweet to have. I can't think of any other really cool set that Lego could make from the OT. Sure there are other minor sets or even some pretty cool ones, but I believe those are the only 2 really worthy of the 10th anniversary. Also, if people want OT but there isn't a set they want, they should vote for other, not a PT set. Oh, and if you read the thread, this is for final picks, not opinions. He has already looked at that thread and decided the sets that were most wanted. If you don't like the choice, vote for other or don't vote. -
The point of the thread is to not only inform people of new sets and items, but for people to voice their opinions of the items and what they think. I personally like the droid gunship and the TX-130, but hope that the TX isn't to small or too plain, because then it just looks bad.

That section of lego.com is worthless. There are thousands of lego auctions on Ebay, and they obviously can't post all of them. I have never seen more than a few listings on that page, all of them worthless.

I agree that some more sets could me made, but they released a lot.

Help choose a Lego Star Wars 10th annaversiry set (2009) Part 2 - Voti

OT and Classic is the same thing. Personally, I do not want a chess set. All that a chess set gets you is a bunch of minifigs. These aren't really worthy of a 10th anniversary. I think people really want a set with some substance. -

Honestly, I really hope that we get a OT set. I like the OT a lot more than the PT. Unlike some people, I don't just like the PT because of the huge battles and armies. The story of the OT is a lot better, and there are way better set options. Also, how are there 17 votes for PT, but yet 17 for the temple and 6 for the Queen's ship? -
Pretty good job. I hate how the only way to get all of the markings on minifigs is to use sharpie or a really fine brush. The sharpie just doesn't look as professional. Not a criticism of you, just sharpies in general.

Walking around places like Target, I have seen a lot of new sets, which surprises me. Back when I bought a lot of Legos, it seemed like they never had sets in stores. S@H always had all of the sets, which isn't really the case now. We don't have a Lego store here, so I couldn't go to a store that I knew had sets. Also, buying online used to be super easy because you could sit at home and buy what you wanted and how many, and the sets were almost always online. Sure, you had to wait 7 days, but I could handle that. That really isn't the case anymore. It seems like stores are more reliable.

I was just surfing Lego.com, and I noticed that a lot of sets, especially Star Wars, are sold out or gone all together. It seems like Lego is keeping sets on their site for shorter and shorter periods. The Dwarf Mine was only on for a few months. It seems like the only way to get sets anymore is in the store, and you are still not guaranteed that they are in stock. I personally like buying online better. What do you guys think?

Original Trilogy all the way. Lego started with that, and that is what it should celebrate with. Plus, the only really cool set that could come out of the PT is the Jedi Temple. I was torn between Tantive IV and Endor, but I am a big Endor fan so that is how I voted. -

We're talking about a minifig scale Death Star, not an USC one. They've only releases two, both of which are really cool. I don't have them, but they look amazing. -
I love it. I am amazed at what people can do with their legos. Reminds me of LOTR, but with a twist. I love how you added the water to it. Gives it a whole new dimension. Love it.

Help choose a Lego Star Wars 10th annaversiry set (2009)

Great, but Crazy, ideas. I like the general ideas of the sets, but Lego isn't going to give us this many figures in a set ever. 20-30 clone troopers. No way. For $150 dollars, I would be really happy with 15 figures, $10 a fig, which is what Lego does a lot of times. For me, it is more about the set than the figures. I want a few cool new figures in the set, but not a ton figures. -
I disagree again. I think this set is really cool. It is simple, easy, but yet cool. Rebels don't have many ground units, so this one is really nice and you can build your armies with this. Also, what are the qualifications for pieces. You gave it a one. You can't expect sets to have all really cool pieces. A simple set will have simple pieces. I think the price is amazing. For only ten dollars, you get 4 BRAND NEW figures that aren't in any other set. Lego could have charged a ton for this set and gotten away with murder, but they priced it very fairly. I also don't understand how the design can be a 2 and the idea an 8. I believe that the design was really good for a simple set that Lego released to really give us some cool figs. I think this set is really sweet. Also, how is 54% good. You should probably stop basing your 50/50 on the set being perfect. No set is every going to be perfect. You can't expect Lego to release a perfect set. How is 60% good and 80% really good. I think you need to lower your standards.

Wow, another harsh review. I personally really like the way this set looks, and from what I have read it is really cool. I don't personally own it, but I still really like the way it looks. 5 figures for 50 dollars isn't that bad I don't think. Some sets that expensive only have 4. Plus, this set has 4 stormies, which is great for building armies. What you are really paying for in any set is the actual vehicle, so you can't really be judgmental by how many figs it has. Also, I don't understand your criticism for pieces. No set is going to have all really cool rare pieces. Most are going to have your basic pieces. Also, I really like the idea behind it. Lego is really branching out, giving us sets that may have only been seen for a few seconds, such as this set. I really like the idea of having a set that you can use not only to move your troops around with, but also to shoot rebels with. Finally, I think you are being a little judgmental about the compartment size. If you look at any set, the insides are small. The Millenium Falcon, Star Destroyer, Sail Barge, old Gunship and AT-TE, just to name a few. Lego wants to give people the coolest outside possible, which means sacrificing interior. Overall, I think this was a really cool set.
-
Wow, that's a pretty bad review. I think that ship deserves at least a 5 or 6. It is not the best thing ever, but it provides a way to transport your stormies around. Also, is should be out of 40, not 10.
-
Great small set that can help you add to you minifig count. The little boats are always cool, and the den isn't that bad either.
-
If this doesn't work out for you, I suggest ebay or bricklink.
-
Unfortunatly, the sets are still not available on US S@H, which is where I buy all my sets. It seems like Lego is really cycling a lot of sets pretty fast through their online store, especially if you look at Star Wars.

I love those. You are definetly right about the extras in some of them being pretty bad. The Imperial and the Republic extras were the worst. The rebel station is really sweet, and I love the artillery. The imperial one is ok, and I think the droid extras were fine to begin with, but I still love what you did with them.
