  1. Unless you know a large alien population, I wouldn't really worry about it. It's all fun and games, and we are all humans here. I know you are worried about the underlying context of it, but the majority of the people influenced by toys are kids, and they won't really see into it that deeply.
  2. I don't think we will see anything drastic between years; still, there is always going to be a slow but steady increase. In years to come, 30 will be the new 20, but not necessarily in one year.
  3. I really like the new Gunship. Different enough from the old one to be better, but similar enough that they don't look totally weird together. Really like the new minifigs. Didn't think I would like the new Clone Troopers at all. The accessories are fine. I would never use them on the regular clones, but to each their own.
  4. I really liked the sets, but they are not necessarily worth $380 dollars. I would have to agree with some assessments, and buy some new sets, and then wait and see if Lego releases new Kashyyk sets.
  5. Sorry buddy, i hate to burst your bubble. There are no new CW sets on S@H yet. Those 2 have been up for a while, and the site is actually not really organized right. Still no new sets.
  6. The one nice thing about it is that it includes 4 clone troopers plus Rex. All of the other CW sets so far only have 1 Clone trooper. This is a nice way to get a few.
  7. Just saw it a second time tonight. Still amazing. Other than seeming shorter, it had the same effect.
  8. Simply keep the sets that you like the most together, and use the rest for parts.
  9. I know what you mean by dark. I realize that you meant how the characters have dark personalities and act very evil and manipulating. I think that the aspect of the movie makes it that much better. Its not all happy lets feel good, but the characters are shown acting how they should feel and act going along with the real tone. I also read that it almost got R. I believe that if they had added some blood and language to the movie, it would have. I am glad they made it PG-13, because Blood and Language would not have added to the movie. But, taking anything else out would have ruined the movie.
  10. I have to disagree with you. I think that the movies are as realistic as they can get in Gotham City. There are going to be crazy and dark things going on with Batman. It is how it is and is going to be. The fact that they are realistic makes them less dark than the old ones. The penguin was way too crazy, and it made it just plain freaky. It is probably too dark for an 8 year old, which the old Batman movies are too. I think that you could bring in the Penguin or Killer Croc, but they would have to be way out there, and take away from the realism. The Joker, Two-Face, and Scarecrow were not too hard, because you can put a totally new spin on them without taking away from their core self. Penguin is just a crazy guy that looks like a penguin. No real core ideas or things to be known for. I believe that while the movie was dark, it was simply brilliant and brought in amazing villains while maintaining realism. The darkness simply added too the movie experience. Don't be so quick to criticize a movie you haven't seen. And don't compare every movie to what an 8 year old can handle. It is PG-13 for a reason. I know that he really wants to see it, but the movie just isn't right for him. Nolan knows that there are a lot of young fans, but he can't make a happy-go-lucky Batman movie just for them. Then he would not get any of the older fans, which there are a lot of. If the movie had been changed to be PG, it would have taken away from the movie, and honestly made it boring. Oh, and I do not mean to be rude, but try using some spell check.
  11. Don't really understand Lego sometimes. More clone trooper and battle droid bp. I can only hope that the Clone Trooper ones are Phase I for the Clone Wars. I am guessing that all of these sets besides the Tie Fighter ones are for the Clone Wars.
  12. Heath Ledger was amazing, but if no one had told me it was him, I would never have known.
  13. I enjoyed Call of Duty 2. Kind of crappy Multiplayer, but still a fun game.
  14. Please try to keep this thread Spoiler Free. I don't want to ruin it for other people. I agree that his death was surprising and did kind of ruin who I though would be in the sequel. But, I don't think he will come back. With Nolan trying to keep it real, he won't bring a character back from the dead. Too unrealistic. I agree that the Riddler would be a great choice. I believe I read somewhere that he said the Catwoman and the Penguin were out. The penguin was stupid before and would be stupid again, but the Catwoman might be doable. He has also said that Robin is out for now from the movies. I like that. Batman is young in these films, trying to find himself and his purpose. He doesn't need a sidekick to complicate things.
  15. The pencil trick was really cool. I would bet my life savings they make another one. The last few minutes set up a sequel. Even with what they did with certain characters, the way they ended it set up an obvious sequel. I really want to know what villains will be in the next one.
  16. What an amazing movie. Just saw it yesterday. A lot darker than the first, but just as good. A lot will say it was better than the first. Not sure if I agree, but they are definitely equally great. Heath Ledger/The Joker was my favorite character. The acting was phenomenal. I don't want to ruin it for anyone, but just fyi Two-Face is a lot more graphic than in Batman Forever, so be warned. What does everyone else think?
  17. I love the reviews of older sets that I never had. Also, tiny thing, but you said it has 7 minifigs, but the group shots only include 6. The last guy isn't shown until the very end.
  18. I like them. I just saw it yesterday, and it was amazing. I loved the story, the characters, and everything about it. Heath Ledger/The Joker was amazing, and so was Harvey Dent. The only thing I did not like was how they set up the next movie.
  19. Jango Fett's Slave I. Fell apart way too easily. Every time you touched it, parts would come off. The new Slave I was was better.
  20. If you watch again, you will see that the clone troopers are attached to grappling hooks. Not really that cool or weird. They probably have them in their utility belt.
  21. I love all of the sets, except the Twilight of course. It has good minifigs, but it is bulky and ugly. I probably has some great spare parts, or it could be used as some kind of civilian transport vessel, but not a fighter used by Anakin.
  22. It's simply amazing how far Lego has come in 30 years.
  23. SWMAN

    Spider man

Personally, I think that Spiderman was a pretty lame theme. It could have been good, but they ruined it by trying to make it too much like the studio theme and didn't make them from the movies.
  24. Very interesting to say the least.
  25. I like how the Battle Droids are put together wrong. The first two have 2 Gun-Holding hands, and the third has none. I always love when sets at toy fairs and showings aren't put together right. Still, it is prelim, so its fine.
