I believe that if Lucas comes out with the the Live-Action TV Series by then and it is well received, then the license will be expanded. If not, then this will probably be the last few years. I personally love the new Clone Wars sets. I never saw the movie and don't want to because of how bad it sounds, but the sets are cool. There are still some things from the movies that can be released, but if there is nothing to revive it, then the license will end.

I mainly put them on the shelves and either put the figures in front of the set or if it is a ship or walker I put them into the set.
-
The Star Destroyer is only a good deal because it is not on S@H anymore, but if you went to a few Targets or Toysrus, you could probably find it for cheaper.
-
I would get both. I have both of these plus the RGS, and they are all great sets.
-
I will get the Clone BP simply for the clones. Might build the walker or just might buy a few and build something cooler with the parts (like some did with the Rebel and Imperial BP's).

Thats good. I like that is look more like the UCS one, but is minifig scale.

Alternate Weapons for the Crown Kingdom
SWMAN replied to Francis Marion's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I agree with what everyone has said here. I was never one for being creative. I always wanted my figures to look the same. But, I think that it is great to be creative. -
I am can't wait to see pics of summer/fall 2009 legos. I know those won't show up for a while, but I am really excited about the Endor set. Not only will it be a chance to get some Scout Troopers, but it will be a chance to get new Endor troopers and an Endor Han, Luke, and Leia.

I am thinking that with the flop of the movie, there will be no more sets.

I am a big fan of all except the Assassin droid BP. I wigh it was simply a BD BP. The Assassin droids don't really look that cool to me. Other than that, all of the sets are great. I will definitely be picking up the Clone BP, AAT, and Clone Shuttle. Probably the Bomber too.

I voted for elves, but it was between that and Forestmen. Elves was the obvious choice simply because it would be brand new with so many possibilities for new heads, torsos, and head gear. But, I always really like the Forestmen and thought they were a great addition to Castle. I think they could bring them back in a new capacity as a neutral force, raiding both King and Skeleton outpost to survive.

I am really excited about some of these sets. I am glad to see that Lego isn't sticking just with the Clone Wars and will release some OT sets as well. While a few of these sets sound kind of lame, I am already trying to make room on my shelves for some new sets.
-
I think this is a pretty lame set. It came with Dooku, who I think only came in this set, plus a unique Lightsaber. Still, they could have made it much bigger, added Anikan and Obi-Wan, and added structures and made it more like the scene from the movie. Also, the speeder doesn't seem very accurate.

I cannot wait to see pics of these sets. Hopfefully early pics for January sets will be leaked soon.

Do far I like it except that it is a little too boxy for me. I can use some more work, but good start.
-
That's really nice. One of the best I have seen.

I don't really plan on buying this. It is way too expensive on ebay for 2 sets that equal 40 bucks and 5 other figs. I hate that they didn't even change the hands on the battle droids so they still have old guns. I didn't really like the Hailfire droid in this set anyway. It was too small and cartoonish looking unlike the old one.
-
Yeah, it would be cool. I think it would be nice if Lego took the same realistic approach that Nolan took and make the set more realistic and not based on the comics.

I just picked this set up this morning and just took a break in the construction. I can tell that it will take a while to build. I like the mini figures all except for Ventress. I am not a big fan of how she looks. Again, I wish it came with more than 1 regular clone, but whatever. I managed to get 2 bags of accessories like I did with the AT-TE. I also got 4 regular and 4 curved lightsaber hilts. Weird. I Don't like all of the accessories only because I don't use most of them. I have 5 sets of the flashlights and a lot of the antennas and kama. I only used the Visor on Cody because that is all he has in the movies and cartoons. So, I have a bunch of extra stuff that I feel obligated to use, but don't have any use for. So, as of now I am simply collecting all of it.

I see your point when it comes to being incompatible. With the guns, I was simply talking about how they are the next step in Lego being more realistic, going from megaphones with orange dots to real looking guns. I personally like the Fleshies and think they look cool and better than Yellow ones.
-
In the past few years, I have noticed that Lego has become more realistic when it comes to many aspects of its production, mainly concerning the Star Wars theme. With the introduction of the Flesh colored figures into Star Wars and subsequently into other licensed themes, they took a huge step in making the figures more realistic. I am sure they also made a lot of people who loved the Yellow figures mad. Then, just in the past year or 2, they have introduced the new guns and the new arms for the Battle Droids. Now, I am sure that not a lot of people prefer the megaphones over the real guns, but some may not like them. What do you guys think about Legos jump toward realism?
-
I don't really think so. I personally love the Fleshies. I don't have any strong attachment to the Yellows, and think that Flesh colored heads and hands make it much more realistic. I think that Lego has taken steps to make things more realistic in the past few years, such as the Fleshies and the new guns for Star Wars.

Would Indians have sold if part of Original WW Line?
SWMAN replied to Dovchenko's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I think the answer is yes. I don't really think you can release a whole new part of a theme the next year unless you continue to integrate it into the theme by adding new sets for the original part of the theme. In this case, more WW sets releases alongside the Indian sets, like with the trolls for castle. The part also has to be really good, and indians were just ok. -
Don't know what you saw, but it says it only has one clone trooper besides Cody. I am thinking about picking this set up at target tomorrow for something to do on the last days of summer. It is pretty expensive, and Target has ended their sale, but I still like it. If I see anything else I like, I will get that, but I am planning on this set.

I never bought this set, simply because this was between the time when I stopped buying sets (2 years ago) and when I started (a few weeks ago). It looks like an ok set, but could have been better if Lego had pursued Hoth more and had sets that could attach to this to make more of a base instead of a door. Also, might want to take better pics.
