  1. While we all now know that the Slave I is a joke, Jango Fett's ship was called Slave I. It was the same ship that Boba had, just blue instead of green.
  2. After looking at the comparison pictures I now officially do not like the new AT-AT. The legs are two thin and un-detailed and the body isn't proportional.
  3. Blah another AT-AT that looks exactly like the last one. While the figures included looks nice the actual set looks disappointing. Other than a (possible) new interior the outside looks just like all the other ones.
  4. Another nice thing about this new theme is that it is completely compatible with the last theme. Going from Knights Kingdom to the Fantasy theme was a big jump because neither were compatible with the other. But this new theme can be used with the old theme as simply two new factions added on.
  5. I like how the series is getting a much darker tone. The first season started off very kid-friendly and kind of silly. But now the show is taking on a much more "mature" theme to it and is much more enjoyable to watch.
  6. That katana is quite a amazing. It is great that Lego release a new part specifically for the Prince, instead of just making him hold his swords the whole time. Plus, it will be great to use with lots of other figures.
  7. Very nice set. It looks like Lego's new castle theme is getting off to the right start. Simple, clean and concise. All good qualities of a small set. Too bad it doesn't include any of the new castle pieces they are releasing like the helmets and horse armor.
  8. While the actors playing the Riddler and Penguin were debunked, I still think that these villains are a possibility. Like the Joker and Scarecrow, the Riddler and Penguin would be easy to make into "real people" like Nolan did with previous villains (which I love). I really hope he stays to the trend of making the villains real people that are just crazy as opposed to some freaks of nature who transform in terrible accidents.
  9. I am really excited about Nolan's third (and hopefully final) Batman film. He took the franchise to new levels and revived it in a way that was unimaginable. I really hope that the third is the last so that it is a complete trilogy that tells the story he wants told, as opposed to the previous films that went on when they shouldn't have.
  10. Titanic is the one that comes to mind. I am sure there are many more though. I consider myself a movie buff, but I am into both critically acclaimed films and good action/comedy's (even if they aren't really that good). I don't watch movies based off of critic reviews, but what I am interested in and would like to see. That being said, I don't dispute claims that critics make about movies. Just because I may not like it doesn't mean it isn't great.
  11. I am really disappointed with the mini-figs in this set. While Captain Antilles is cool, Lego really should have included a Darth Vader and Stormtrooper.
  12. I am a fan of both the original series and the 2008 movie. I think that each of them had a unique spin on the concept and bring something different to the table. I don't think they are really comparable considering the long gap in the time they were made and the different style in which they were made. And age has nothing to do with good taste.
  13. I personally never saw the purpose of the Mini sets. While they were cool to display, they didn't have an abundance of detail and served no purpose other than to collect dust. I think the BM sets should be more promotional and include a figure and a large set. Just my opinion though.
  14. I am really excited about this game. What I love is that they are taking the same approach as Batman: Arkham Asylum. Take a character that is old and well known that has been revived in recent years through films (except the Batman ones were good) and put a retro spin on a new video game. I love that, like Arkham, it is a fresh story that is true to the comics and tv series over the movies. Batman is a great example of how a licensed game can be successful, and I like this game will follow in it's footsteps.
  15. Sorry. Didn't see the other one. And like I said in my last post, this is the last Halo game Bungie will make. It has been confirmed. There is nothing about another Master Chief installment or Halo Wars game. Reach is the only game on the table right now.
  16. I haven't seen a topic on the new (and possibly final) Halo game coming out in Fall 2010, Halo: Reach. Unlike ODST, this is a true stand-alone game that takes place before the first Halo game. For those who don't know, you play as part of a a squad of Spartan soldiers. Unlike Master Chief, you are not an elite Spartan soldier, but a weaker and more foot-soldier type soldier. The game takes place on the planet Reach, the military headquarters of the UNSC as it is being attacked by the Convenant. From the articles I have read the the interviews I have seen, this will be a million times better that ODST. It will be a long and fulfilling campaign that introduces new characters, new settings, and new weapons. This is also going to be the last Halo game developed my Bungie, but Microsoft has said they will continue with the franchise. However, if this game is simply epic like it appears it will be, I will be happy with this being the conclusion to the series. 17. I am sorry to say I wasted $40 on this game. I really thought it was going to be fun. And the space combat really is. The controls are a bit buggy and annoying (such as not being able to follow your target) but the space combat is all around great. The ground combat is a joke though. The controls are buggy and lagging and it takes forever to do anything. The game really is kind of repetitive. Plus, the fact that I couldn't play the first couple days after I bought the game and then more times after that was annoying. I will play a few more times before the free subscription is over but I already cancelled my paid one before I was charged.
  18. While I agree that walls might be nice, it is still a nice little Diorama. Most people (including myself) don't have the skill to build a cave with Legos, so this is the alternative. Which is totally fine. Great MOC
  19. I personally really like it. I know a lot of people are upset about the figure being too much like an action figure and not enough like a Lego figure, but I commend Lego for stepping up to the plate and creating a whole new level of detail in their figures. Hopefully it will continue.
  20. The new Fett looks like the best new figure from the whole lot. A new detailed helmet, new face, and separate jet pack! Awesome! The list of new limited edition figures is nice. From the figure list the AT-AT will be a great set.
  21. While it is nice that they are bringing the Harry Potter sets back, there don't seem to be a lot of improvements. But, as long as they don't release like 20 sets for every movie like they did before they should be good.
  22. Thanks for the pictures, but I am not really impressed with the the CTT. It looks very similar to the previous release and is lacking any color.
  23. While I am a little bit more reassured that these will be nice sets, I am still pretty skeptical. I am going to have to wait until we the sets actually come out and I can get a good look at the figures and such before I make my final decision.
  24. I really like the new Slave I. While the base is a pretty bright red, the ship looks really detailed and I think the figures will be really nice.
  25. That is extremely impressive. That is one of the best snowspeeders I have ever seen. I love the amount of detail you put into such a small diorama.
