  1. At that, Soren leaned back, taking everything in. This could get interesting. Eyes drawing back to the dwarf, Soren studied his motions, trying to get insight on his mood.
  2. Soren cocked an eyebrow, glancing around at the car. 'You planning something, Zaria?
  3. I'm with Zaria on this one. Tie 'im up and leave 'im here, but he's not coming along for the ride. Soren notices the flickering around Yelana, but nothing beyond that. Still, when her image resolidifies, he gives a pointed glance in her direction. They were stowaways. They were on the train so that they could stow away. You saw how intense the lines were - this is a luxury venture and not everyone has the credits to make that work. 'Sides, you tried cooperating and they weren't big fans of it. Now are we going to sit and gab or are we going to the economy car? We have a job to do.
  4. Posting this here because I didn't want to clog the thread with out of character concerns before I can actually react. I'm fine with Yelana rolling sleight-of-hand against our perception, but is the fact that she turned invisible right in front us covered by that perception roll? I feel like that should still be noticeable.
  5. Thank you. Soren turns to the other two in his party, ushering them a step back from the waiter. There was a dwarf with an M-Tec uniform in our car, and two Quaarm in Business Class. Those are our targets. It might be smart to split up and tail them both at the same time. Hopefully they should lead us to the device.
  6. I think it'd be worth a look. Can you give us info on these Quaarm, like where on the train they might be staying?
  7. Soren lets Zaria have her piece, before cutting back in to the matters at hand. Anyways, I believe you said something about giving us a stiff drink for our troubles. Is there a chance I can instead ask a question? Particularly, are you aware of any Quaarms on board?
  8. I mean, that hardly sounds like an effective way to snipe somebody- What the hell? Soren hisses, I highly doubt the package will have just been tossed in the luggage department. Soren nods, trying to appear composed in contrast to Yelana. If you have any further problems, let us know.
  9. The pilot seems unfazed by Yelana's exclamations. For someone who fashions themselves a spy, you sure have a lot of hang-ups about getting your hands dirty. In any case, we should get back to our car and tell the attendant that things are taken care of.
  10. Soren observes the prayer wordlessly, before catching the vibro dagger tossed to him. He takes a quick glance at it. Neat, he said. It's unclear whether he's referring to the dagger or Zaria's sacrament. Just figured I would check - is the knife meant to be electric, or kinetic? I only ask because the FAQ has Vibro-Knife listed as a kinetic option.
  11. What-? No. I have a practically guaranteed hit on this thing, meaning we just need to hit it once more. Between you and Zaria, that should more than cover it.
  12. Soren pops behind cover to fire an icy blast into the stowaway’s face.
  13. Soren smirks. The stowaway had ran directly into his range. With a breath of icy focus, Soren fires at Maba.
  14. Sure thing, then. Soren moves back to B3 and Rallies Yelena.
  15. The pilot glowered over his shoulder at Yelena before turning back to the battle. I could give it a shot, I suppose, but it would put me out of shooting range. ‘You sure you can tank another hit by yourself up here?
  16. Time to rethink strategy. Zaria, cover me! Hoping the elf can take the hit, Soren ducks behind her and moves to C3, and then fires a blaster shot at Abam.
  17. Soren glances behind him for a moment in disquiet before turning back to Zaria. I 'preciate the concern, but all the same, I say we take out this one as fast as we can. Assuming our ever-polite spy falls in line, we ought to be able to down him right away.
  18. Watching the fierce vibro-blade of his opponent, Soren ducks back behind cover, firing his elemental bolt without moving from his spot. Let's see if we can't shatter him here and now.
  19. Super happy to see CMP and Zepher back! Excited to quest with you lot again soon. So, currently this is basically just flavour text as I think about Soren's powers and I'm not expecting it to have such a practical result (because that would be an extremely strong spell), but it does make me wonder how versatile the elemental evocation spell is? Like in practice it sounds essentially just like a magic blast, which I'm cool with, I'm just wondering what the applicability of such a power would be or if that's up to the MM's discretion. Further, would I later be able to take, say, Mystic Binding and play it off as as an ice-based move, freezing a target? That probably makes more sense for this specific sort of circumstance. Apologies for the scattered thoughts, it's entirely possible I'm getting too into Pathfinder and it's limitless customization, I just figured I'd bring it up.
  20. Damnit! These bastards are tough. Zaria, keep them at bay! Noting how inefficient his blaster was with the stowaways so close, Soren fires an elemental bolt of cold energy at Abam, hoping to freeze him in place as he rolls to C3.
  21. This is my bad, I meant D1. The idea was to move up behind cover so that my gun would be in range. If preferred, I can take C3 and use a magic blast.
  22. Soren briefly considers casting a freezing bolt, but instead runs up behind Zaria to D2, firing at Abam with his blaster as he did so.
  23. Soren draws his blaster, leaning against the shelves and keeping an eye on the target. I'm good with a straight fight if the so-called-spy is done negotiating. But if you want me to supply cover, I'd best move a little closer. Taking a moment, Soren pauses and pushes at the shelves. These look a little flimsy; I might be able to push these over and get some higher ground on them. Potentially dumb question, but is there a casting range for magic? I get one Spirit point only affects one square, but I can't find if there's a rule that says how far you're allowed to cast. E.g., am I allowed to hit him from where I am or am I still too far?
