  1. Cool ship Captain, I like your style! I agree and I do not agree with the good green captain here! Yes, I do agree the stripe could flow a little better, that seems like a good idea to me. And no, I don't agree there is only one improvement: I think the sails look a bit distracting, especially the middle sail on the fore-mast and the topsail on the mizzen mast look somehow to big compared to the other sails. Lastly, I think the topsail on the fore mast looks like it could also do with a little lowering. Other than that, it's good!
  2. Great work, like a real oo7 Masterpiece! I love that rounded wall technique. About the railing, I don't think you need it. Perhaps that would be a little overkill. As for the vegetation, I think it would look very nice, and perhaps even more realistic. I'd give it a try! They look fine! Care to give us a close up of the torso?
  3. That's a mightily great long gun Teddy! The best one I've seen for sure! I'm sure the HMS Victory will look great with those. That would look great, but from the pictures it looks like Teddy already put on of these: on the end of the barrel. I can't help to wonder, why did you put one of those at the end Teddy?
  4. I have a feeling this poor chap is gonna need a bigger boat! Good use of those new sharks! At first glance I thought you used megablocks.
  5. Happy Birthday, crazy cucumber! I hope you'll get one of these: Enjoy your day!
  6. Looks like it's progressing nicely Teddy. As for the hull, I think version 2 of your hull looks better. This way you can see the rear-fin (? not sure if that's the right word) alot better. I like your tumblehome technique! I love the way how it looks like real planks. And lastly, I'd go for the first gunport prototype. The other one looks nice when closed, but opened it looks strange, in my eyes. The first one looks good open AND closed.
  7. Aaah shiver me timbers. I've always wanted to have a fig like that. Now that there's a chance, there's no money..
  8. Hmm that's interesting, it seems they took the original TLC boxart of this set and put a Enlighten Brick logo on it. I wonder what the contents would look like.
  9. When reading that title I expect something way else than this nice creation. Perhaps that's because I read "Race for the Bacon"? Anyway, nice build! Always nice to see something build around a little story. The rickety bridge and the skeleton spice it up nicely. My only advice would to replace the round bricks for the barrel in the both by a real barrel.
  10. That is looking awesome HMS! It looks rather finished though, so what's to be done before it's finished? And is that behemoth on the background the Soleil Royal?
  11. What will I win if I guess the right year?
  12. What makes you think a Moderator can't? Done!
  13. Really? I guess I forgot. At least I can't find it. Could you please quote it? Excellent slogan for any Human Rights organisation!
  14. This is getting exciting. First a pirate towel, then a pirate minifig picture, and now this! I wonder why the hell TLC would sell all this merchandise if they weren't going to release a new pirate theme soon. Well, at least we can be sure he will have the same shape!
  15. Indeed, you have always been blessed with great interior building skills! But nonetheless, taking pics for a comic/movie scene seems even hard in your excellent interior settings, don't you agree?
  16. AaaHA! So the guy whining about ice cub trays actually bought one!! Who's being silly now? You porbably couldn't resist buying something related to the best theme ever.
  17. That's great The Cobra!! Frontpage material? All these signs lately really make the return of pirates plausible! As for that ice cube tray, I love it!! Captain RedBeard ice cubes!! Yay!! I wonder how fast the hook will break.
  18. Considering the average size of a big ship MOC on a prefab hull, you will always need extra sets for the interior. Prefab hull made ships are just not big enough. The most easy way to get ships in your comic/movie, would simply be asking the creation permission for using exterior pics of his/her ship. You will need interior "movie sets" anyway.
  19. First of all: Welcome! So you are looking to buy some ships, you could always scroll down on this page (or any page in the pirate forum), and you will find a list of eBay auctions selling pirate LEGO sets. Especially LEGO in the UK seems to be exceptionally low priced. Or you could ofcourse check Bricklink, I'm sorry, but I don't know any good seller selling ships, because I never buy sets from BL, only parts. I hope that helps!
  20. Sure do! It's marvelous. I've never seen a MOC like this before! "What do you mean by that, Tiber?!" well, it looks like a masterpiece like Rebelrock's, SirNadroj's or oo7's, but at the same time it looks exactly like what I'd expect if LEGO would make good looking pirate sets again. Especially the open backside makes it seem very official LEGO set-ish. Besides, the MOC doesn't look built very complicated. It would be really the ideal Pirate LEGO set! If TLC would do with this MOC what they did with Daniel Siskind's Blacksmiths workshop I'd buy one. Absolutely marvelous EvilDead!
  21. Somehow that's more or less exactly what I expect to see in an interview with Mr Phes. Razor sharp and always trying to take the lead. Very entertaining!
  22. Interesting, The Klein sounds just like "te klein", wich is Dutch for "too small" Perhaps it was intentional?
  23. Congrats and welcome, you crazy Seaweed Face!
  24. You could've been a true salesman Mr Slogan! That Eldorado Fortress for $50.00!! Those prizes are truly crazy. Mightily tempting. It's time to count my money!
  25. I did? Cool! Didn't know that On a more serious note, I never said that. Actually I quite detest the combination of Fleshie and yellow if they both are to represent human beings. Especially if most of your minifigs are yellow it's very annoying. But that's a personal taste of course. True enough, but I did!! This poll isn't only about the ships TLC made, is it? Apparently some (Americans) have a different opinion than you. Not so sure about that. Nobody ever said it was about ships with a 8-12 man crew, or am I mistaking now?
