The Ruins of St.Paul's is the ruins of a 16th-century complex in Macau including of what was originally St.Paul's College and the Church of St.Paul, a 17th-century Portugese church. Today, the ruins are one of Macau's best know landmarks. In 2005, they were officially listed as part of the Historic Centre of Macau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Macau is to the west of Hong Kong. It only takes you an hour to go there from Hong Kong by jets. For more information: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruins_of_St._Paul%27s

Welcome to the Colosseum in Italy. I fully understand that some AFOLS have already built it and they did a fantastic job. I also love the Colosseum. I would like to build my own but rather I try not to follow the footsteps of my predecessors. Therefore, I try to build it small. To the best of my knowledge, perhaps this is quite original. Only several pieces of basic bricks are used. Instead, the major parts I used are technic bricks, hose, jumpers and binoculars. The building process requires exceptional patience. I have to look for a good curve which finally turns to be imperfect, but I am afraid that is the best I can do. This MOC won't be a LEGO IDEA project. I think TLG won't allow it to become an official set simply because the set is not sturdy. Yes, pieces won't fall out when I move it from one place to another, but it will change shape. I need to readjust the positions of binoculars...

Good question.... Actually not a big problem for Anna to have legs, but yes for Elsa. Her dress is bigger and bigger down to the bottom and that may require another 3000-4000 trans-clear plates. Plates are cheap. No problem for that but you may not know how bad is the living condition in Hong Kong. I am lucky to have a relatively bigger apartment... but still no room for a MOC with dimensions 0.8 x 0.8 x 1.2 meter. This is a very common headache for Hong Kong AFOL..... LOL
-
This is half a new post. You may discover that I have finished Anna more than a month ago and have she posted then. Now, here comes Elsa and my set finishes as a duo. My work is not perfect but I have put great effort. There are many technical difficulties. Their braids are one thing, and thus special care is given to Anna's cloak. For Elsa, her dress is difficult. Basically there are three layers -- white/medium azure, trans-light blue, trans-clear. Another point which worths mentioning is that they are very costly. Rare colours used for Anna; and about 3000 parts for Elsa (more than 1500 of which are the trans-medium blue/ trans-clear plates)

Good suggestion, I seriously think about that after I have finished Elsa ^^ It take me a minute to know who is Sven ^^ If I stick to this building scale, I don't know how much of Sven will be created~~~ One serious problem of Hong Kong AFOLS is we normally can't build sizable MOCs. Property price is horrible so that we usually have not enough space to do this. To build the whole Anna shall not be a problem, but Elsa should be -- she has bulky dress. Its ground area may be as big as 64x100 studs. I can afford LEGO bricks but not cement bricks LOL
-
This can't be regarded as a finished MOC. You know it should be half done at most and you may know why. The build takes quite a lot of time actually and I have to encounter a number of technical problems while building it. Stay tuned for Elsa... and more photos...

Thanks for your information, Vorkosigan and dr_spock. But now I wonder why LEGO IDEAS still accepts the submission of my work~~~ BTW, I bought quite a large sum of old magnets on Bricklink and now am very delighted to see its price soaring.
-
Thanks for your concern. May I know why the old open magnets "may be a liability and safety issue"? I simply do not understand. You are probably correct. Actually I won't be that naive and I know quite well that it is hard to be an official set. The old magnets are one thing. The axles 32 which are considered as rare parts is another. One more, I don't think TLG would allow two 32x32 baseplate in one medium set like this. Anyway, I still decide to put my work on LEGO Ideas is simply to see how many people would like my work. I think any AFOL would thirst for the recognition of the others. Am I right?

[This is a LEGO Ideas' project and it awaits your support: "]https://ideas.lego.c...rojects/102064] Hello everyone, I have been away from LEGO Town for quite a long time. Here comes my MOC... not 100% a sort of new work but a refinement of my previous one: http://www.eurobrick...l=+bumper +cars (LEGO Friends' Theme Park (4): Bumper Cars) Since then, I was advised by a number of people that such a girly MOC was far less desirable than a boy one. That's why this comes out: It takes me for more than a year to make improvements -- virtually a new start except the use of magnets is retained. There are so many stages of transformation; there are simply many trials and errors I have experienced... The cars looks more resemblance to real ones. I use a tiled baseplate even though a normal baseplate with studs do not affect the smooth running of the cars. I also make the turntable much more handy, so that it require much fewer bricks. In the meantime, I still keep the delay function (In case you don't know what I am referring to, please check the video at the bottom of this page) In order to make the set more playable, there is a manuel mode: you can pick up the axles placed at the top of the set and use them to control a car and smash the others. Hope you enjoy my work and think this is much fun! A video is better than 1000 words. Most likely you will understand all my words above after watching it: Finally, yes, this is my project of LEGO Ideas. If you really want to own this set, please come to the following link and become one of the 10,000 supporters. Every vote counts! ^^ https://ideas.lego.com/projects/102064 Thank you very much!!!

This is a wedding gift for my friend! There is no better gift than a unique LEGO MOC! This is not my only wedding gift to my friends. However, it is extraordinary in the sense that the bride and groom are wearing Korean costume (but we are all Chinese). ^^ I am given only one photo which shows their front view, without any knowledge of what they look like from behind. Therefore, their backs are rather plain...

This is the love story of Lucy/Wyldstyle and Emmet. Emmet faces much hardship in his pursuit of love (probably because of Batman!) Lucy always looks cool and unresponsive. Though Lucy is always within his reach, Emmet simply cannot get her attention (or she is even beyond his sight). They whirl around one another but their is no contact point of them. They look like two lost souls in a fish bowls. It takes a long time -- from winter to summer -- for Emmet to win her over finally. Here comes a video: Hope you like my creation. Thanks for watchin. ^^

You are not wrong... but I think further elaboration is necessary. China and Japan are neighbours and they shared similar culure historically. 4-5 centuries ago giraffes were just imported to the Orient and someone gave them the name "kirin", supposedly because they (kirin and giraffe) also have short horns. Gradually China stopped calling giraffe as "kirin" and named them directly after their appearnce-- literally "long neck dear". Japan might keep this name (kirin), to this I know no further. Another thing that may interest you-- the world "qilin" put forward by you is no different from "kirin". They are transliterated from the same Chinese characters. Perhaps, I guess, it is due to difference in accents. Thanks!!! Kung Hei Fat Choi also!!! Stay healthy and smart!!!
-
You may have heard about Chinese lion dance which is a festive activity of the Chinese lunar new year. Indeed, kirin dance is another option, though it is less popular. The LEGO community has also proved this -- perhaps I am the first guy to build this but quite a number have built lion dance (according to google ^^). For your informaton, kirin is a mythical creature. Asian people believe it can wipe out evil spirits and bring lucks. After all, [though you may not be Asians] happy lunar new year and wish you joyful and healthy all the time! Cheer!

Hey bro! Time to build birds! I prefer peacocks. ^^ Now, three boys are struggling to take this girl home. And here comes a winner. They since then live very happily~~~ ... until finally they are disassembled by me. LOL

Run, and don't impose a limit upon yourself. Hope someone will like this work. I wish I can present some ideas through this work but I prefer not to be wordy. You may come to any conclusion you like.

My kids are big fan of CARS instead. Two years ago, when my kids are still small and short, I build a sizable McQueen in order to let them sit on it and roll. Strange idea, isn't it?

Hello, I am Francesco No one is competitor to me... I can't find any... Help me find one if you know~~~ There are too many unsuccessful trials of building, especially the front wheel. Altogether it takes me 16 months. Finally the wheels look like this. This is the most difficult process. Another difficult part is to deal with the curves... My video: Actually this is the last piece of my CARS trilogy. They are all in mega size. Hope you will enjoy my work.
