  1. I can think of a few other sets, D2C or otherwise, that we could be in store for based purely off of naturally generated features. Given how recently the Mansion was added, I think an End City D2C set is more likely, especially since it has more interesting architecture and would require some amount of new colored pieces (lavender) to be produced. Since the Mansion would more or less be a big box, I could see it being the flagship $130 that you could expand with multiple copies. Another set I could see being made would be a Desert Temple, which would be a great way to introduce Husks like you mentioned. Also remember that Lego has made a few sets, like the Jungle Treehouse, The Waterfall Base, and the Desert Outpost, that are set in biomes but feature original (as in structures that aren't naturally generated) designs. The possibilities are somewhat endless so long as the theme sells well. EDIT: Completely skipped reading that last paragraph! Whoops!
  2. I think its a pretty reasonable assumption that the R2 polybag will coincide as a promotion with the impending UCS Snowspeeder, given its scale. Obviously, I have only my opinion to back that logic up, but still.
  3. Looks like theres a new machete piece as well:
  4. Bricklink is your friend
  5. According to the Reddit thread you found it on, it was a Facebook ad.
  6. Different strokes for different folks. Not everyone prefers big <insert that tiresome argument> elements like those in your avatar.
  7. $250? Non-UCS sets usually plateau at around $140, and thats usually only if its a particularly iconic ship.
  8. Why not be grateful for the in-depth look at a new set?
  9. How incredibly inappropriate and in poor taste. Daniel Fleetwood may have been a huge fan of Star Wars, but this quote is hardly applicable in memoriam. To the casual observer (and erstwhile poster), it trivializes and whitewashes Daniel's passing for the sake of regurgitating a "cool" line from a movie.
  10. I can't escape the feeling that these all look a little <insert that tiresome argument>; maybe its just the CGI they use on the boxes.
  11. I like it, but I don't really see how it is Steampunk. My understanding of Steampunk is characterized by outrageous and obvious instances of steam powered apparatuses; I don't see any boiler, pipes, or most importantly, a stack for steam to escape. Otherwise, a great MOC.
  12. Anybody recognize the set in the top right corner?
  13. As much as I appreciate these pictures and whoever took them, could they not have taken pictures of the entire page instead of fragmented looks at each set?
  14. The original Imperial Shuttle came with one.
  15. I mean, Lego is first and foremost a children's toy.
  16. I doubt it. Now that the Mandalorian helmet mold has a visor, there is no need for a black head.
  17. I hope its not the "official" unveiling of Palpatine's Arrest.
  18. The body armor appears in Series 7.
  19. Does anybody have an idea what set this truck will come in? http://cdn.toyark.com/news/attach/6/9/toy-fair-2012-lego-097_1329062700.jpg Edit by Rufus: Your picture is too large. Please resize to a maximum 800x600 px as per Site Guidelines. Thanks!
  20. I agree with Hinckley. From a business standpoint as well, it would be the more logical choice to maintain a somewhat constant size and price for a model that, at this point, is an annual release. On another small note, I think it would be interesting for Lego to change their strategy next year to making a few 32x16 buildings akin to market street and pet shop (albeit sold separately) to appeal to a broader market.
  21. I find it odd that some of the vehicle sets don't include the weapons from whence they originated.
  22. Found this on the Kendo Jay page on legoshop.com
  23. If I'm not late to the party, I'm guessing Hero Factory 5.0 deals with them going inside a computer, Tron-style.
  24. Did anyone else notice that the green ninja seems to be called "Lloyd ZX" in the biggest set?
