  1. Jim can just move this else were if he thinks its necessary, but he is doing a fantastic job with all these contests.
  2. Only if you leave some for Blakbird, can you imagine the renders he would do while being under the influence.
  3. *I will not be held responsible for any actions caused by Jim being under the influence of alcohol.
  4. Personally I would like to see how quickly he can drink a 1l bottle of "mature" whiskey then let him loose on here.
  5. Yes I agree, that LDcad is looking very good and is probably the best way forward for users like me who want to use a more complex piece of software. I do feel though that it needs a better user interface.
  6. Like the others have said if you have all the parts in the same color (I would not worry about the stickers) and the over all part count of that model is 600 or under you can use it to make a model to enter the contest.
  7. LDcad does look very good,I will need to download it and test it out.
  8. Ah I see,a great way to use Lego to make your life easier and more enjoyable.
  9. Yes I can't see why that would be a problem, but Jim can clarify.... you would not win anyway.... No "lego made " stickers should not be a problem. I have fixed my reply, although Jim is the organizer and has some the final say on the rules.
  10. Exactly what is the point of this contraption?
  11. A couple of weeks ago we were all shocked to learn that Sergio (The maker of SR3D) passed away, this made me curious on what the future holds for Lego cad software and the people that used his software. Will we see a newer version of MLcad with a whole new user interface and some kind of auto snap feature that SR3D had,in my opinion MLcad getting a upgrade like this would be really good if it happened. We will continue to have LDD,although this software is still not in my opinion anyway as good as MLcad or SR3D. We were lucky that Sergio left us with a stable build but with no updates expected now for it, will this force users to switch software? I am aware of Mecabricks, maybe Scrubs will incorporate some of SR3D's features into his software,is there demand for another program?
  12. Yes that is a bad idea. You don't have to use the stickers in the sets that you you use,but if you do want to have you stickers on your model then they need to be from the sets that you use. Bricklink is your friend.
  13. Seems like Jim is getting a hard time here for no reason....use common sense on what he had said below....
  14. He's a proper Lego Expert,he knows what he is doing....
  15. Well done to the winners, and to wee Jimmy for running a great contest.
  16. Really nice castle and scene Hinckley, perhaps some rocky outcrop on which the castle would of sat on might of looked even better.
  17. Probably the most easy way would be just to crop the image, and insert it into Lpub (PNG image).
  18. 1) Click on add next step -> click on both images -> display in rows -> after a few steps have been added there will be a option to display in columns. 2) I will look into this further for you....
  19. The answer to the first question is that you can change the page orientation via the page setup from the menu. For the second question just click and drag the image.
  20. Guys just change the Global page.....size.... with a Local page......size..... (write all in caps and for the pages you wish to change),It's all in the name. I made a test file that you can download here.
  21. Well I am waiting for the unimog...
  22. Congratulations to you both Beaver and Josh.
  23. Sadly not yet Freakwave is still hard at work on them. I don't think it will be too long though.
