  1. Thanks for the review Deathleech! I am already thinking about getting this set, and your review just bolstered my decision. It has a great figs; nice, useful parts and its the elves!
  2. Yes, you are right hooky, its not just Serbia, its our whole region, I just didn't want to enlarge the picture as I was speaking from my own experience (I was never in Bulgaria, however I do believe you that situation is very similar - avg salary : prices...) Still, I hope Lego group will rethink about their involvement in all the markets, not just the North American one... However, I do not agree with NoEinstein's last statement; I, for one, do not buy every Lego product I like "anyway" - not considering the price. For example, I am a fan of LoTR and the Hobbit, but I have no sets aside from Frodo's polybag. The MEA is the first set I plan on getting and even then I am looking to find the least expensive deal possible.
  3. It is even worse for people who live in the countries who are in Europe but not yet in the EU (like us in Serbia for example). Mirkwood Elf Army costs ~ 65$ at the least (some stores buff even those prices up!). With the explanation being all the different taxes they have to pay (a margin of 30 - 50% depending on the size of the sets goes unmentioned). But, as misterR said, we have no choice...
  4. To Merlin and Morgan Ziegfried. Greetings young Merlin! I hope you are doing well and that your studies are progressing nicely. And greetings to you as well young Morgan; I take it you still look after your brother and progress in your magical studies too!? This Potion and Tonic are for you and your brother. Merry Grogmas to you and your entire family. Sincerely, Thalion Dwinlas
  5. After receiving the hefty mail, Thalion smiled and started writing a reply: Dear Alexander, I hope this letter will find you in good health, as it is true we saw each other only briefly before you departed to the Fields. I will use this chance to say that all is well here and to thank you for your gift. As a token of my appreciation for your continued friendship please accept these items, which will hopefully help you in the Fields of Glory: a Nostrum and a Smelling Salts. Marry Grogmas and see you back in the Hall. Thalion Dwinlas After finishing it, he took a piece of paper started writing: Mighty Smaragdea and Dragonlord, I was very sorry when I heard you were unhappy about your hoard, and I hope Dragonlord sent you my greetings!? I would like to use this opportunity to send you something more tangible this time to help you fill your hoard; while it is not gold, I think it might find place by your side, since it is a magical jewelry, albeit minor, - the Snake Eye Charm. And for the stalwart Dragonlord a Health Core, to help him in his time of need. Hopefully next time we see each other you will be lying on a mountain of gold and, Dragonlord, I hope you will be less troubled. Merry Grogmas and regards from the elven sorcerer Thalion Dwinlas
  6. Judging by the set's aesthetics alone, I would go for the Tower, because I like buildings more then vehicles, or, in this case, siege engines . But there are definitely some information missing in order to properly choose one over the other; for example, is the price same for both sets (in which case the Wheel is a much better choice, and I would buy that one) or different (here in Serbia, the difference between those two sets would be close to 20$)!?
  7. Fantastic! I have already supported in on Cuusoo, so good luck!
  8. Very nice MOC! As Infernum already pointed out, the woodwork is really good and the circular base is quite an interesting choice. Since am a fan of the movie, I recognized where the scene originated from even before I read the description, so props for great work!
  9. Thalion shakes Karie's hand, "Thalion Dwinlas, a pleasure to meet you. And speaking of animals, up until recently I had a turtle with me, until I found his home, so I can relate to that.", he says with a smile and a wink.
  10. "Actually, it is not all the same; as master Arthur wasn't always a "knight in shining armor", if you know what I mean. When we first met, he was a slinker too - whatever that might be..." Thalion replies with a smile.
  11. Thalion looks around and spots another familiar face, "Master Arthur!? Yes it is me." He takes of his hood, and smiles widely. "Actually, I haven't changed the bit, we elves are like that - quick to adapt but very slow to change." He chuckles. "Aye, I did follow your example indeed, but I have to say, you did change quite a bit - with all that shiny, new equipment. Lead the way, I am always glad to meet new, fellow heroes." He turned, "Alexander, my friend, I'll see you later."
  12. Thank you for a lovely quest Sandy! It was nice to be apart of an experimental quest (again ), even tough the puzzle's were a bit on the easy side, as you have said. I was really glad to have seen the C.A.T. characters but the thing that made this quest great for me was the epilogue - the Merry Mermaid part. It was so much fun to speak to the owner and the veterans (not to mention Thalion's joy for returning Sheldon home). I would like to use this opportunity to apologize to my fellow questees for the first puzzle - it was not my intention to grab all the experience for Thalion, I just didn't know the mechanics (I thought everyone would get XP as long as the puzzle was solved). I tried to mend that in the later ones. P.S. Even tough PsyKater didn't post it as he rushed Amma to Elphaba's, I updated Thalion's equipment in the Stats page (as if she had returned the gems and scrolls) accordingly. Otherwise, Amma would be .
  13. Having just entered the Hall, Thalion hears his name being called and turns to see a familiar face, "Alexander, my friend, how are you!? Not much, I just recently returned from quest at the Marketplace - we could have really used your help back there, I might add. Yes, I am interested in going to the Fields of Glory, very much so in fact, only not at the present time. I have heard some disturbing news recently and would like to be here for the moment - to see if I can find out something more. You remember when we were in the Hovels, and when we fought Mephisto below the city!? It seems the other two demons, who's tablets we found there, might not be gone after all..."
  14. Thalion bowed, "I apologize, I didn't know. But you dont have to worry; from what I can remember, aside from our skirmish with them in the Hovels, I have had no connection to Wolfgang whatsoever." "Thank you, Dragonlord, it is good to hear no more troubles occurred. And as for Smaragdea, if you dont think this might insult her, here..." Thalion takes out a gold coin, "Give her this with my regards. It will not increase her hoard much, but, at least, it might amuse her for a moment." He looked at Copper Fox, "Yes, you are right, we will do everything in our power should the two archdemons appear, and we will banish them, just as we did Mephisto! Or any other threat for that matter. Of that you can be sure!", and nodded firmly.
  15. "About holding them for questioning I say no, but we could greet them and be on our way." Thalion turns to the bartender, "It was a pleasure meeting you. Take good care of Sheldon and the other turtles." Thalion approaches the group of veterans and bows slightly, "Greetings! I dont suppose you remember me, but we met on our search for the Norn girl's, little zombie friend. I just wanted to ask you how Smaragdea is doing master Cain?"
  16. Thalion nodded, " We all have." "For that, I can vouch!" Thalion looks at Sheldon and smiles, "Isn't that right sweetie!?" Thalion checks out the bunch at the table and replies to Monk, "Yes it is. And the other two gentlemen are Kukulkan and Dragonlord. I've had the pleasure of meeting them on my very first quest after coming to Eubric."
  17. "Well, I wont say no to a glass of fine wine... We found him in the Marketplace, in one of the shops - while searching for the culprit who was responsible for the recent thefts there. Someone seem to have dropped him there either accidentally or on purpose, I dont know. But when we found him I took him with us, hoping to find him a safe place. Unfortunately, we had no way of communicating with him, so we cant say who stole him or he simply wondered of exploring, but it may comfort you to know that we at least got the person responsible for the thefts at the marketplace - the person who, possibly, stole Sheldon. It was only later that a sailor Nestor, who seems to be a regular here, told us that the turtle disappeared from your tavern. Naturally, when we finished we came here to return Sheldon to you. And do not worry, no harm came to him when he was with us."
  18. Thalion looks at the turtle, "So your name is Sheldon is it? Thats a very nice name for a turtle..." "No thanks are necessary, I just wanted to see my little friend returned to his home safely." Thalion takes the turtle and hands it to the bar owner with a smile.
  19. Thalion bows to Heckz and Avalanche, "It was my pleasure to meet and quest with you." He turns to Sorow, "I dont think it would be a problem if you went with us, it wouldn't be for me anyway, but as you wish. It was nice to be questing with you again." he finishes with a slight bow. Afterwords he turns to Monk, turtle already in his arms, "Thalion. I am from a small elven domain, on the edges of Murkwood Forest. Yourself?" He pauses for a bit, "Well I dont know where the name comes from, but it sure suits a ship just as good as it does a tavern."
  20. Thalion nodded and bowed at the detective and his superiors, "It was my pleasure to help you with this definitely strange case. I dont know what your plans for the future are, but I wish you the best of luck. Now, Amma, I am both glad and sorry I didn't get to see you use all the new gems and scrolls but I figure it is for the better. If you dont mind, I'll take them back now, who knows, I might need to loan them again to some young mage next time..." He finishes with a smile and turn towards the party. "I plan on going to the Merry Mermaid and returning the turtle to its owner, would anyone care to join me?" OOC: Thank you Sandy! The last bit is strictly for roleplaying purposes - you don't need to do anything, I just wanted to follow though with Thalion and the Turtle business.
  21. Thalion looked at Monk, "I tried to use my cloak to scan him, but he wouldn't let me." He paused for a moment and continued, "I honestly dont know if there is any hard proof for anyone to be convicted for the crime. However, I tend to agree with Avalanche, Watsup started looking guilty the more we went on with the case. He even started going hostile towards Warlock, in the last couple of hours, which I couldn't possibly figure out why. It is easy to see a possible motive for that, since he is still stuck doing the dirty work, while the detective does his job - so he could have made a crime spree happen since the person stuck with solving it wouldn't be able to do it, and he spiced it with the cherries being at every crime scene, aside from the other stuff found there. Honestly, I find it hard to believe any self respecting thief would carry his favorite desert on the crime, so they had to be planted by someone who knew how to shift the blame. The stolen things could be anywhere by now, only the culprit knows for sure, and as for the Buffon Hat, he could even have slipped it to Warlock to make him look incompetent. It is possible we got this wrong, and it was a group effort, but someone had to spearhead the whole thing, and it is likely to be someone who knows how things are done in the crime department..." OOC: Sorry my internet got buggy and I couldn't post for a while back there.
  22. "I can agree on that. But lets see if this sheds any light to the case..." Thalion once again swaps his Sterile Gloves for Cloak of Espionage and uses it to scan Warlock, Watsup, Phoebe and the black man beside her.
  23. Thalion nods, "There is a definite possibility there, worth checking out." Afterwords he pauses, but continues after a while in a softer tone, "However, I just remembered something. There were people present on those pictures who could have access to cherries." He turns and walks towards the two newly arrived town watchmen, "Masters Serevan, Lilith. You said you will have your daily croissants after this. Could they possibly be having some sort of a filling?" OOC: It is not a problem Sandy. I would rather have us solve this case properly.
  24. Thalion eyes narrowed, "It is neither vile nor slimy, it is just a lost little animal!" He looked at the turtle and his face turned to a gentle one, "I honestly wish I could speak with it, but I cannot, only a true ranger could speak with animals properly - my ranger training is not sufficient for that. I could try something in a way of communication I suppose, but I doubt it will work..." Thalion picked up and looked at the turtle, "If you can understand me little friend, nod your head up and down twice."
