Heroica RPG - Quest #108: Message in a Bag-of-Holding

Thalion bows, "Thalion Dwinlas, a pleasure to meet you. Well, we'll certainly try our best to figure this out." He moves the leaves on the right side of the wall and inspects stone circles. -
"I dont know... I think you are right; I feel we are doing right by the people, but who are we to say what is right and what is wrong. I know what you say, we were together on #44 and what Bonapartes did to those rebels, as opposed to what they said they will do, made me regret helping them in their time of need." He takes a sip of his homeland wine. "However, I have to disagree with you that only the strongest change the world. I think those that are able to survive, adapt and eventually thrive on that success can change the world, as you said - for better or for worse. The smartest, fastest, strongest if you will, who live long enough, enough to peek their ability - eventually change the world... And if that is what you meant, then we are in agreement, those kind of people change the world..." "I am sorry to hear that, he seems like a good kid, and to be manipulated like that, it is shameful... I still cannot believe U'Reeka did what he did, but I think its better for Wally to be out of such nightmare or whatever else it might have turned into." Thalion takes a glance and his keen elvish sight spot his name on the quest board, "I have to depart on the quest, but thank you for sharing that sorrowful information with me. As painful as it is to learn such truths, I think it was for the better of us all." He bows to Hybros, "Until our next meeting, stay well my friend!" Thalion approaches Atramor and bows, "Atramor, it is good to see you again! I saw that you were talking to that pale looking guy, who I assume posted the quest, and you seemed to know one another... I saw that time is of the essence so where are we off to? If there is anything more that you know, we can discuss on the way."

Thalion sits silently for a while, his head lowered as Hybros tells his story. After weighing everything he heard carefully, he replies, "Thank you for sharing that with me, a truly regrettable turn of events as it is... I feel sorry for the members of the Crimson Crown, I never would have thought that U'Reeka would do something like that... And the machine itself, it seemed capable to produce paintings and nothing more... But then again, such is life, you learn certain things only when certain other things happen, and as you said, these are confusing times... That is why at that time we thought we were doing the right thing by repelling the attackers back then... Still, we are only mercenaries, we are trying to do good, but we are still mercenaries, and as such, only operating with the information we get, which at the time was what it was..." He pauses for a moment, "Tell me, what happened to that gnomish boy, U'Reeka's apprentice - Wally, if I remember correctly? Was he aware what was going on?"

Thalion turns around and greets Hybros with a smile, "Ah, master Hybros, indeed it has!" His face takes a more serious look after Hybros' unfinished sentence, "Yes, yes, of course.", and he points to and empty table in the corner of the Hall. "What is it about?"

Thalion walks into the Hall, stopping at the Quest Board, and signs his name under Quest #108.

On his way to the Hall, Thalion stops by the Marketplace and buys the following: Winged Sandals, 4 Grand Potions, 3 Nostrums, Grand Tonic, 2 Smelling Salts, Pickaxe, Magnifying Glass, Phoenix Essence and 2 Potions (915 - 80 - 40 - 105 - 30 - 50 - 20 - 30 - 50 - 10 = 500 gold left)

Thalion shakes his head, "I told you not to trust her..."

Thalion nods in approval of Sorrow's words and walks towards the Hall. OOC: Sandy, Thalion is missing most of his gems and scrolls in your last post - the ones that he loaned to the heroes at the beginning of the quest. I assumed everyone gave what they borrowed back, and have updated the stats page according to that. Everything else seems to be in order.

Thalion pockets the gold and sits next to Sorrow, waiting for Djinnifer to appear, thinking how to deal with her.

"Master Sorrow is absolutely correct, and I would only like to add two things; that there were some disturbing things we learned inside the academy that need to be prosecuted further. And that we found several artifacts of possibly demonic origin, including that lamp," he points to Jinnifer's Lamp, "that, in my humble opinion, should be destroyed in order to avoid future disasters."

Thalion joins the Pointers in their chanting and paying their respects.

Thalion turns around and greets Malestor with a bow, "Pleasure to meet you master Eldritch. Thalion Dwinlas." Hearing what Jinnifer asked of Amorith, Thalion gives him a questioning look, "You are not seriously going to fall for that, are you?" Lastly he turns towards the members of the faculty, "It is good to be back. Is provost by any chance with you?"

"Karie, I have no need for these but it seems you might find them useful in the future." Thalion smiles and hands Party Maracas to Karie with a slight bow. "I hope no one minds if I get my spare scrolls and gems back!?" Says Thalion before he picks up the items he has loaned to his fellow heroes. Afterwords he moves towards the Shadeaux family and with a bow introduces himself to Umbra, "Thalion Dwinlas, at your service my lady."

Thalion greets the Sheep Tribe with a smile and a slight bow, and turns around looking around for provost. While waiting for him to arrive, he also looks at his new Bad Luck Charm and murmuring an elvish incantation, puts it on instead of his Sterile Gloves.

Thalion smiles in relief, "Detective, Mrs. Ziegfried, very nice to see you again." He looks at detective and Valentine and nods, "I'll stay."

Thalion nodded, "Agreed, lets see what has happened."

The moment Heckz issued his challenge, Thalion almost instinctively began casting a maelstrom of elements around him; but as he hears the "Boulder, Parchment, Daggers" the lightning, rocks and flames around him disappear as he is left looking at Heckz confused. (You have got to be kidding me!) he thought to himself and asked the sorcerer opposite to him, "Seriously...?"

Thalion casts a Fire spell at Mirror Sorrow (twice) from back row. If Mirror Sorrow is defeated, he casts a Fire spell at Mirror Amorith (twice) from back row.

Thalion casts a Light spell (twice) at Mirror Hymnessamine from back row. If she is defeated, he casts a Water spell (twice) at Mirror Sorrow, also from back row.

Thalion looks at his twisted reflection and frowns, but seeing a bigger threat he turns and casts a Light spell (twice) at Mirror Hymnessamine from back row.

Thalion pockets the gold North Door dropped, drinks a Nostrum, and lead his party to the Atrium.

Thalion pockets the gold Door dropped, and his group repeat their actions in the same B.O. OOC: I am for autorolling; same actions, same B.O. for Thalion's group.

Thalion pockets the gold and his group repeats in the same Battle Order. OOC: Not that it matters much since I entered it correctly in the stats page, but Thalion should have 240 gold total atm, after taking what the Door dropped from the previous battles, and returning to Aunt Hymn. what is hers.
