General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Bonaparte replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
Based on your posting history I get the feeling you are didn't yet reach the 18 years limit (or even close) which would make you eligible to be a member on this forum. Talk we must! -
Nice! The exterior makes this MOC amazing, but adding the interior makes this one of the best buildings I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing this inspiring work of yours!

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Bonaparte replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
Let's no longer continue the discussion of where PoTC will go because it's not the purpose of this thread. Besides, as I pointed out already 2 times in this thread: PoTC (all of it!) goes into our pirates forum. -
Last year I did some nice deals at Makro (50% of on many sets), but most of the time I just buy sets via S@H. Where do you buy your sets in the UK? Do you get to save money because of the euro-pound conversion? You can also PM me where you buy in the UK if you prefer not to post that info on the public boards.

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Bonaparte replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
It was agreed by the Eurobricks staff to have an all PoTC discussions in the pirates forum and not the licensed forum so all pirate discussions are in the same place. This is confirmed! -
Hey there Klementina, welcome at Eurobricks! Croatia, right? That's where I've spend 5 weeks last year traveling through the country with my tent. Wonderful country!

Build a frigate with Captain Green Hair
Bonaparte replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Pirate MOCs
No worries! I spoke with captain Blue Hair 2 weeks ago and he is still working on this project. If I remember correctly the ship he's using as a model for this thread is undergoing rigging. I'm sure the captain will post pictures (and I'll remind him once he's back from his holidays). However, with the current status of this tutorial you should be able to finish your ship. Basically only the other side needs to be build (copied) and next the decks have to be put on (that's not difficult). Final steps are the masts, rigging and sails. For the rigging we have this nice tutorial. And there's also the making of the HMS Prince of Wales thread. This ship is build by the same techniques as the frigate the captain is using as a model. Hope this helps! -
Wow Allan, these pics are so huge. The maximum pic size which we allow is 800px x 600px. Pls check out the tutorials pointed out by Plastemaurer if you need help resizing them.

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Bonaparte replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
As ambassador of Classic-Pirates.com I'm very happy seeing this little Jack Sparrow minifig After I saw this minifig this morning I've been dreaming about the new parts, sets and figs all day. These movies contain so much locations, ships, ... so they'll serve as an excellent source of inspiration for the LEGO designers. Maybe a license was what Pirates needed to get some fresh idea's and parts for our beloved theme. I for one don't care about the PoTC movies, they are not my cup of tea, however I feel the same about Prince of Persia (the game and movie) and yet I love the PoP LEGO sets and the awesome parts that came along with them. Seeing these PoTC rumors I'm happy we as a community provided LEGO our input on Pirate part requests and the Classic-Pirates.com Report for The Future of LEGO Pirates. Let's hope the designers work on the new sets with our feedback in their minds! What an exiting day this is for us Pirate fans! -

Because we decided to put this in the pirates forum. I agree it could also fit very well in licensed, but our pirates forum has an established group of pirates fans and is linked with our Classic-Pirates.com blog, so it makes sense having all pirate discussion (and MOCs) in one place. -
If you make these kind of statements, please provide proper context and clearly explain what you are saying. It gets on my nerves reading these one-liners and people have to continuously guess and ask for clarification. Speak very clear language or just don't saying anything at all! I'm not surprised seeing in your profile you are only 14. Did you know we are an adult LEGO community? Let's have a little chat! On the subject: Yes, some stuff outsources to China has lower quality. Personally I can't say anything about these battlepacks because I have not seen them, but it's advisable to start with buying just one and check them out before buying a lot. This is sad indeed, but I've seen improvement over time and the stuff from China seems to be getting better.

Oh, I forgot to add that part (it was also in the press release which I got from LEGO). The set comes available in November 2010. But as it is an exclusive you have to order directly from LEGO (Shop@home).

I don't think I have ever seen such clear pictures! You almost have me running to the story and buy one of these...

It was no hacker nor was it a bot. In order to do an optimization we had altered a setting in our MySQL server a few hours before which triggered a chain of events taking the board down. Sorry it's not a more existing story

We faced a technical issue causing Eurobricks to be unavailable for some hours. We are still investigating the details to prevent this from happening again. Sorry for this inconvenience!

Welcome Celupnus Krom_Lord of Time! I must admit I'm not the expert on Bionicle and I need a Bionicle translator (we once had one) to help me with your welcome thread

And moved to the Action Figures forum!

I've send a message to the Railbricks ambassador to see what's going on.

You can work on your video review inside the academy and teachers/staff will help you as much as you can. However, video reviews won't be counted for getting the official Reviewers Academy badges (like 3 reviews from bronze, 6 for silver and 9 for gold). Shall we sign you up?
