REVIEW: Lego Star Wars 75046: Courscant Police Gunship
Tom Jurassic posted a topic in LEGO Star Wars
Item Name: Courscant Police Gunship Item Number: 75046 Item Release: Winter 2013/Spring 2014 Item Piece Count: 481 Item Minifigures: 4 ( Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, 2x Shocktroopers) Item Price: £49.99 Box: Here we see the front of the Box, which displays a Nice Image of the Gunship, as well as three of the four included Minifigures. And here we see the back of the Box, which displays all of the features included in the set, as well as the Four Minifigures. It also includes the set Number, Theme, and an Image of Yoda with a Link to the Lego Star Wars Website. Minifigures: Here we see the four Minifigures included in the set. We get an updated version of Anakin Skywalker from the Nightspeeder, featuring new Printed and Detailed Legs, offering a nice alternative for fans who never bought the speeder. Also included is Ahsoka Tano, a re-release of the Minifigure included within the Umbaran Walker. Interestingly, the S3/4/5 Version of Ahsoka has only ever been included in Exclusive sets! Finally we have two Shocktroopers, with Gorgeous Red Paintwork, creating an awesome addition to the armies of Phase II Clones produced thus far. And here we see Ahsoka's alternate face Print, and the standard Clone Wars Clone Heads found underneath the Trooper's helmets: Courscant Police Gunship: And here we see the main form of Transport for Courscants ever troubled and riddled Police Force, the Police Gunship. Consisting of Blue, Grey and Reds, the Gunship is a beautiful hommage to traditional Police colours whilst still loooking good. The set is very accurate to the source material, and is interestingly constructed, using Helicopter Rotors in one element of the build. Here we have a Front, Back and Side view of this beast of a model: Now lets look at the features of this awesome vehicle, starting with the Cockpit. The Cockpit Flips Up and Reveals a Pull-Out Seating Arrangement allowing two clones to seat in close proximity at different heights. Here we see how the Cockpit flips up using a clever technic system: Allowing for this seating segment to be removed: Next up we have the Spring-Loaded Missiles within the build. These can shoot to some distance, and surprisingly, do not detract from the Aesthetic appeal of the build: Next is the Opening Troop Bay Door, revealing a sadly rather limit space for troopers: Lastly we have the Weapons Storage Section, revealing a turret which is bizzarely mounted on only one side. Sadly this storage space does not really work, since gaps mean accesories will go flying unless you have spare clip pieces. Conclusion: Over-all, this a well designed and well planned out set produced by Lego, well worthy of the Exclusive Tag. The model in the Show featured sharp angles and very hard-to-replicate features, so Lego have done a good job to replicate it to such a good extent of detail. However, the lack of adequate Troop Bay Space, The Problems with the Storage Bay, and the Lack of any truely noteable minifigures could perhaps be considered an issue. What I like: - Design -Figures Included -Features -Accuracy What I Dislike- - Disfunctionality of Features - Tiny Troop Bay - 4 Minifigs If the Price Point had been £10 more, but had included a Phase II Fox or Wollfe, I think this set would have offered a lot more as one of the last Clone Wars sets to be produced by TLG. It is a nice model, and I would strongly recommend buying it, but it lacks a few tweaks to make it amazing. LegoFan117 -
LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Tom Jurassic replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I just purchased 75046 Courscant Police Gunship, and have to say, it is a beautiful set! :) It is very, very accurate to the original source material, has a strong build, and uses some really interesting building techniques which I have no seen used before. The Stickers are large and easy to place, and the figure selection is great! Ahsoka is awesome, the new Anakin has refined printing, and the two Shocktroopers are gorgeous! :) Can I post a review, even though I have not completed the reviewers academy? -
Very eager to see how these Artic sub-line turns out. Coastguard and Cargo have been meh for me, so hopefully these are unique and very, very special! :)

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Tom Jurassic replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Pretty happy with the Star Destroyer, it includes Vader, an Imperial Officer, an Imperial Crewman, and Imperial Naval Trooper and Two Stormies. Plus, the new Interior looks interesting and unique when compared to the older version, and the set looks very good indeed. The AT-AT looks nice, glad to see another Veers and an AT-AT Pilot, the inclusion of a Snowtrooper Commander is very nice indeed, although I wonder how the print will be different. I am intrigued as to what Interior details will be included with this version of the AT-AT, since it does not include a Luke, suggesting that features like the grapple-winch will not be included. Mos Eisley Cantina is a dissapointment. A very Lackluster build indeed, it seems to me as if the pieces required to finish the Cantina to a decent standard, and allow for a roof and other components were instead spent on a non-vital Speeder which could have been included in a seperate set. However, a new Greedo, some new Alien Species, and the Dewback are arguably very nice indeed. The Prototype of the Ghost in the Bottom of one image is very ugly indeed. It looks un-inspired and horrid, like a stripped down Falcon. We shall have to wait for the TV Show, but at the moment, these new Rebels-Only Sets are shaping up to be a huge dissapointment indeed. -
LEGO Ultra Agents 2014

Very, very glad to see the return of this series, since it holds a huge lot of potential when it comes to the sci-fi-techy side which they can cover within this line. I am expecting cool figures, epic vehicles and some neat scenery. Provided these are good enough, I am willing to invest in an army of these sets to form my SHIELD Headquarters. When can we expect images? -
Again, as said before Gentlemen, let's leave this issue. We all have different opinions, that is perfeclty understandable and acceptable, but let's try and consider the effects our comments will have on others. :)

Guys, lets not argue please. At the end of the day, we all have perfectly valid opinions since everyone has a different opinion on different sets. Let's remember that we are all Lego fans, and we should all except each other's opinions. Sarcasm and Cynicism towards each other will get us no where. We are all Lego fans at the end of the day, and we are all part of this community, so please remember that before commenting.

The Sword is beautiful, and the Creeper confirms the Smaller Design. Loving the scenery too, can not wait for Caves, Jungles, Forests and Deserts to be released! And OMG, a Minifig scale Nether! -
Has anyone considered making the tactical vest any further? :)
