Just got the last parts for my statue:

Thanks. You can find more info on Songs of Blades and Heroes here: http://songofblades.blogspot.com/ It can be downloaded from Wargames Vault for about six bucks, and they have a yahoo group, where you can calculate the cost of any kind of troops you design. It's a quite simple yet challenging game.

Just got my trees for the woods: Woods are treated as area terrain, so I needed trees you could move when warriors entered.
-
A close up of Hang Man hill and more additions (almost there):
-
Thanks. I've ordered the last base plates and bits, so I can get the table to the final 4x4 base plate size. /Morten

An update on the terrain situation: Dragon Rider and Wizard (also for the game):

Thanks. I had a minor melt down when Lego killed off the Exo-Force line, but I'm actually quite impressed by the 2010 Castle line, and lately I've been buying a few old school minifigs and bits for a landscape from Bricklink. Unfortunately it seems there's a lot of stickers of dubious origin being sold (as you might see in the photo), but I'm not a fanatic collector, so it doesn't bother me too much.

That's a very impressive mech and a well executed movie. Most impressive. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this and good fun to watch the poor little robot get smashed to bits over and over. Very cool.

Thank you and thanks for the heads up regarding the location of the thread. I'll be updating when I get my baseplates for the terrain and some more bricks to make scenary. I've got a whole bunch already and a lot in the mail from Bricklink deals. I think I'll browse Eurobricks for good ideas for landscaping with Lego.

Me neither which is why I use the Songs of Blades and Heroes ruleset instead. I put the "table top wargaming" label in the sub titel to indicate what the thread was about, but obviously it didn't catch on. I too love the classic castle range, and hope to include old sets as "The guarded inn" on the table, but I also have my eye on the nice village from the Fantasy era line. Lovely houses and lots of extras in that set (people, animals and I tree I think I'll copy).

Quite right. Something similar to Warhammer but at a skirmish level. I'm confused as to how this can be the wrong board, as it originally was intended for wargames and not online RPGs. I'm the author of some of the first posts when this board first was added to EB, but if there's a different board for Lego Wargames (non RPGs) now, I do appoligize for the blunder.

I was not aware that I needed permission to show the minifigs and terrain ideas for a table top wargame. Is this really so? Then much have changed since I last visited EB... What do you mean by "host"? This is not an online RPG or anything similar...

After the sad demise of the Exo-Force line I took a good long time-out from Lego. Lateley I've started a new game based on Castle miniatures and the ruleset called Songs of Blades and Heroes (which I've remaned for the occation). So far I've dusted off my old castle and minifigs: And I've started on the terrain base plates (there will be about 12-16 32x32 plates when finished): And finally I've bought a brick load of stuff for the minifigs (weapons/bases/etc): I'm also dabbling in jazzing up the old knights with some barding (old school style): Stay tuned for more...

As you might have guessed a few of us, here in the space and mecha forum, might not share your take on that particular subject...

Thx. I think there's parts from 2 x Gate Assault and 2 Uplinks. The rest were bought from Bricklink. I made it because I accedentially bought that enormous cockpit from Bricklink and wanted to do something special with it. It should be in the pinned Exo-MOC thread somewhere I think...

Very nice collection. Well done. I finally got the space to showcase my collection:

Excellent drawing. :)

Yeah. I read it. Good article btw. I resently got he rescue tank and the Assault Tiger. I also ordered the Combat Crawler x 2 from s@h. Also got an E-F T-shirt for my kid and the manga drawing set for myself. Maybe I'll have a go at a few comics myself now that TLC wont be supporting E-F any more. ;) I'm also breathing life into my Exo-Dice game again. The 08 line with the mini-robots really got my mind spinning with ideas.
-
Really cool mech. It seems like you've used the E-F Assault Tiger as a base model for your design. This mech however complets the picture. Arm and weapon designs seems more sturdy. Excellent job.

I was just wondering which comic people liked the best. My all time favorite must be episode 24: Eyes of the Enemy This episode showed a whole new side to the robot force. How they work together and how they're command structure works. It showed that Exo-Force is really more than just 4 kid pilots and an old man battling the whole world. Lots of battlemachines and pilots are battling the superior numbers of the robots. A few minor glitches like the reverse speak of meca one and the Devastator and the strange banter of meca one is tollerable when looking at the episode as a whole. Do you have a favorite episode and why?

That new cockpit took it to a whole new level. Makes it look more like a close combat ripping machine... Excelent job.

Ha, ha. :-D On a serious note. E.F doesn't have to die. Just look at the activity and determination of the Lego Pirate community and they haven't seen a set in ages. We (the community) can keep the line alive if we really want to. Were I live the new 08 sets seems to sell like crazy. Maybe there's hope for a comeback in the future. Until then we still have a large number of nice sets and endless options for good and exciting MOCs. E-F is what brought me out of the Dark Ages so I for one is not going down without a fight. ;-)

Ha, ha. ;-) Yeah. I got the z and 2 mixed up. Now my new Storm Lasher works too. Thanks again VBBN. Thanks Grevious. I stopped buying E-F when the 07 sets became really poor. Actually I only really hated the Mobile Devastator. The tower is so-so, but not worth getting imo. Just stumbled on the 08 sets when shooping for food a week ago. Now I have Dark Panther, Storm Lasher, Battle Arachnoid, Chameleon Hunter and the River Dragon. Excellent sets I might add. I'm for sure getting the Assault Tiger and the Hybrid Rescue Tank. I also picked up the Aerobooster. Man that is a nice set. Impressive to get such a large battlemachine from so few bricks. I also have my eyes set on the Combat Crawler x 2. It looks big and mean and I like the way the smaller battle machine detaches from the main machine. I still don't get that E-F is dying though. The sets are ripped from the shelves where I live. Assault Tiger was sold out and I just managed to get my hands on the last Storm Lasher. Maybe the store didn't buy a large quantity though. All other lego themes seems pretty well stocked.

Exo-Force isn't dead... It's just erhm.. regrouping... ;-) Nice VIG though...
