Napoleonic War Gaming Attribute Idea's
EXO-CHAMP replied to Fordo's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I really think that the Old Guard should have better morale and skills rather than more hp. Which you represent by attack and defence. A man hit by a musket i just as dead even if he's elite. Puts a bit more realisme into a wargame. Morale plays a big role in Napoleonic warware. The ability not to falter when faced with deadly volley fire or canister shot. You might wan't to add Morale as a stat. -
Napoleonic War Gaming Attribute Idea's
EXO-CHAMP replied to Fordo's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Regarding the game mechanics you seek: I've been a long time fan of the Slaughterloo rules by Alternative Armies. They are fun, easy to learn. A good system to base your game on. And this thread really belongs in the Lego wargames forum. -
Yep. That's how it's done...
-
A very nice moc indeed. At first I thought that it simply was a Claw Crusher makeover, but then I discovered that it was much larger, uses Iron Condor Features and so on... A simple moc that keeps on surpricing, in a positive way...

Well. My powercable has gone missing so I'm using an inferior camera. So sorry about the poor quality... Takeshi (3870) This Exo-suit is quite different than the others. The pilot is protected by a windshield and is sitting down. The legs also both have hip and ancle artikulation. Ha-Ya-To (3871) Ha-Ya-To's Exo-suit is a flight suit build more or less like the 06 models. It does have nice pieces like jet engines and the Ha-Ya-To mini-fig. This Exo-suit is a bit too colourfull for my taste though.

Awesome machine. Great build, excellent poses... Needs stickers though... Yes, yes. I'm a sticker fan-boy... ;-)
-
Sure you can... I'm curently searching for my camera powercabel.. It seems to have gone missing... More pics soon...

Just picked up two new Exo-Force promotionals. 3870 Takeshi Exo-suit 3871 Ha-Ya-To Exo-suit Both have 07 uniforms... I'll do a little review later today...

Thanks guys. jipay is quite right. Those are Citadel colours. Not the best on the market but they get the job done. Btw, just finished an Obliterator. I'm quite happy with the result myself:

What a good idea. Maybe you could get a MOD to pin it for you. You could also link to Lego wargame web-site: Brickwars, MechaTon, Exo-Dice etc. You will find a bundle of them here: http://www.brikwars.com/wargames.htm

From Meca One (BZP) 2007 Battle Report. Humans: Cyclone Defender Blade Titan Add-ons: Ryo Takeshi 157 points. Robots: Claw Crusher Shadow Crawler Iron Condor Add-ons: Stealth Coating 157 points. Round 1: The Robots won the initiative, forced the Humans to move first. The Blade Titan attacked the Iron Condor with two shots from it's Proton Cannon, the first one was defended against, the second missed. The four remaining Battle Machines simply moved to better positions. Round 2: The Humans won the initiative, and forced the Robots to move first. The Claw Crusher moved up to attack the Blade Titan with its Claw, but the Blade Titan dodged. The Blade Titan then attacked the Claw Crusher with the Assault Shield and hit, delivering lethal damage and disarming the Claw and Rotating Blaster. The Shadow Crawler attacked the Blade Titan with the Laser Cannons (80cm) and hit, but did little damage due to a successful parry from the Blade Titan. The Cyclone Defender attempted to kill the Claw Crusher with the Pulse Blaster but didn't do any damage. The Iron Condor ended the round by firing it's Magnetizing Missile and did considerable damage to the Blade Titan. Round 3: The Humans won the initiative. The Blade Titan attacked the Shadow Crawler with the Proton Cannon but didn't hit. The Claw Crusher used it's rocket on the Blade Titan but did no damage due to a parry. The Cyclone Defender did an attack on the move and attacked the Iron Condor with its Shield but missed. The Iron Condor attacked the Blade Titan with its Double Blaster, but didn't do damage. The Shadow Crawler shot the Blade Titan again but did little damage. Round 4: The Humans won the initiative. The Blade Titan fired its multi-rockets and did some damage to the Iron Condor. The Iron Condor attacked the Blade Titan with its Talons and the Blade Titan attempted a parry, but failed, however the attack resulted in no damage. The Iron Condor fired a shot from its Double Blaster but missed. The Cyclone Defender shot the Iron Condor with the Pulse Blaster and did a little damage. The Shadow Crawler shot the Blade Titan with its Laser Cannons (80cm) and did some damage. The Claw Crusher, having no remaining weapons, is no longer of use so is no longer in the game. Round 5: The Humans won the initiative. The Blade Titan used its Shield on the Iron Condor and did massive damage, destroying the Talons. The Iron Condor fired two shots from its Double Blaster but did little damage. The Cyclone Defender shot the Iron Condor and destroyed it. With a very successful attack roll the Shadow Crawler destroyed the Blade Titan with its Laser Cannons. Round 6: The Humans won the initiative. The Cyclone Defender shot the Shadow Crawler but it defended. The Shadow Crawler shot the Cyclone Defender but it also defended. Round 7: The Robots won the initiative. The Shadow Crawler fired it's Cannons again but didn't hit. The Cyclone Defender used its shield and did some damage to the Shadow Crawler. Round 8: The Robots won the initiative. The Shadow Crawler attacked the Cyclone Defender but it defended. The Cyclone missed a shot from it's Pulse Blaster fired at the Shadow Crawler. Round 9: The Humans won the initiative. The Cyclone Defender shot the Shadow Crawler but it defended. The Shadow Crawler hit the Cyclone Defender and did considerable damage. Round 10: The Robots won the initiative. The Shadow Crawler attacked the Cyclone Defender but it defended. The Cyclone Defender attacked with its shield but missed. Round 11: The Robots won the initiative. The Shadow Crawler shot the Cyclone Defender but missed. The Cyclone Defender hit the Shadow Crawler with its shield but did little damage. Round 12: The Humans won the initiative. The Cyclone Defender hit the Shadow Crawler but again did little damage. The Shadow Crawler missed its shot. Round 13: The Humans won the initiative, forced the Robots to move first. The Shadow Crawler attacked the Cyclone Defender but it defended. The Cyclone Defender shot the Shadow Crawler and brought the Shadow Crawler near red. Round 14: The Robots won the initiative. The Shadow Crawler delivered a fatal blow to the Cyclone Defender. Robot Victory. My thoughts: Humans are hard to beat.

From Visorak-kal (BZP) got a chance to test your new rule on Friday night, Exo-Champ. I did a small Exo-DIce battle, me versus me. (Although my younger brother made the decisions for the humans, I just rolled all the dice.) The battle was layed out with the humans in one corner of the room, and the robots in the center of the room, under the table. There is a chair on the right-hand side, in the middle of the two battling parties. Humans: Mobile Defense Tank Ryo MDT Blade Titan Takeshi Cyclone Defender Cyclone Defender v.s. Robots: Striking Venom Attached Iron Drone Infantry Shadow Crawler Sentry w/ Add ons: Command (Meca One) Stealth Coating Prison Pod ROBOT PLAN: Destroy all who come in their path. Keep Shadow Crawler behind until he is needed. HUMAN PLAN: Kill off Shadow Crawler and Sentry first, keeping the Cyclone Defenders away from SV. Couldn't take any pictures, but I got the details down, especially the usage of the new run/fire rule. ROUND 1 (Ding ding ding!): Humans win iniative. One Cyclone Defender heads for cover behind a leg of the chair. Being small, 50 % of his body is hidden, giving him effective cover. He attacks the Sentry, and causes considerable damage. Then Shadow Crawler moves, moving closer and firing at Cyclone Defender. 0 successes equals a failure for the attack. Blade Titan charges forward, and destroys Sentry with his Proton Cannon. Striking Venom moves and barrages Blade Titan with a hail of fire. The Blade Titan's five defence dice (including Takeshi's two) defends him against the more powerful attacks. Striking Venom fills up its heat to 9. (Its three cool allow it to bring that down to six.) Blade Titan sustains five damage. The second Cyclone Defender moves forward, and attacks Striking Venom. The attack hits, but Striking Venom is only harmed one. The front Iron Drone Infantry attacks Blade Titan. The attack is successful, and Blade Titan sustains one damage, bringing the total to six. Mobile Defense Tank comes forward and attacks Striking Venom with its top cannon (forget what it's called) and its other cannon. (Not Multi-rockets.) The attacks are successful, and Striking Venom gets five damage count. ROUND TWO: Humans win iniative. Blade Titan moves close and attacks Shadow Crawler with its Proton Cannon,. The Shadow Crawler fails to defend with its three dice, and sustains very bad damage, enough to bing it close to the red zone. The Shadow Crawler activates its Stealth Coating, which is successful. It can no longer be attacked, and the position of the covered Cyclone Defender behind the chair is useless. The Mobile Defense Tank again barraging Striking Venom with its top gun and lower gun. The attacks are successful, but the damage Exo-Dice rolled by Mobile Defense Tank are less than par, and Striking Venom gets away unscathed. Striking Venom, at heat three, uses its cool function. It then attacks with Gatling Blaster, and its two Laser Cannons. Mobile Defense Tank suffers intense damage. The second Cyclone Defender moves forwards and attacks Striking Venom, but with an unsuccessful attack. Iron Drone Infantry attack MDT, which is out of defense dice. However, the resulting damage dice cause only one damage to the Tank. ROUND THREE: Robots win iniative. Meca One activates Command function. Shadow Crawler attacks Blade Titan, but gets 0 successes. Striking Venom moves forward, barraging Mobile Defense Tank some more with the same attacks as before: Gatling Blaster, Laser Cannons, and Laser Cannons. Mobile Defense Tank is dangerously close to the red zone. Iron Drone Infantry attack Blade Titan, but the Titan successfully defends. Blade Titan attacks Shadow Crawler with Proton Cannon, and the attack causes horrid damage, entering Shadow Crawler into the "Gasp, red zone!" Shadow Crawlwer has had a bad day. The Shadow Crawler's better Laser Cannon is destroyed. With Striking Venom closer, the small Cyclone Defender takes his chance, and runs out. Using the attack/move rule, he attacks Striking Venom with his shot (not burst) and runs back. Due to the loss of one damage dice, Striking Venom successfuly defends. Mobile Defense Tank repeats its former attacks, and Striking Venom suffers some damage. It is now near the end of the first of the three box rows. ROUND FOUR: Humans win iniative. Blade Titan chooses not to deal with Shadow Crawler anymore. Blade Titan approaches Striking Venom and attacks twice with its Assault Shield. Both attacks are not defended against, and Striking Venom sustains major damage, though not devastating due to its high Exo-Shield. Striking Venom is now deep into the second row of damage. Although the Assault Shields hit, Takeshi's effort to disarm the Venom was unsuccessful. Shadow Crawler activates Stealth Coating. Mobile Defense Tank hits Striking Venom, who fails to defend. However, the damage Exo-Dice rolled by MDT are nothign to the SV's Exo-Shield. Only one damage sustained. Striking Venom blasts away at the nearby Cyclone Defender. The Cyclone Defender is destroyed instantly, after huge damage by the SV. The other Cyclone Defender repeats its move using the new rule. Since Striking Venom is emptied of defende Exo-Dice, the non-burst attack is successful, and Striking Venoms suffers a few damage, bringing him close to the red zone. The Iron Drone Infantry attack Blade Titan, who defends. ROUND FIVE: Humans win iniative. Blade Titan fires at Shadow Crawler with its Proton Cannon, but the damage brings Shadow Crawler one away from death. Shadow Crawler activates Stealth Coating. Mobile Defense Tank causes some damage to Striking Venom, but the SV remains out of the red zone. Striking Venom blasts at the MDT, bringing him into the red zone. Destruction seems iminent. Cyclone Defender repeats his running attack, which is successful. Striking Venom is still near the red zone, but not in it. ROUND SIX: Robots win iniative and Meca One activates Command. Shadow Crawler fires a last-hope shot, which gets 0 successes. Oh, well. Striking Venom fires a blast at Mobile Defense Tank, who is now practically dead. Iron Drone Infantry adds more damage to Mobile Defense Tank. Mobile Defense Tank fires its Disks at SV. The disks miss. It then fires its Multi-Rockets at SV, who defends the attack. Blade Titan attacks SV with Assault Shield twice, bringing the powerful battle machine into the red zone. Gatling Blaster is destroyed. However, Takeshi again misses the Disarm dice. Cyclone Defender finishes off Shadow Crawler, with a well-placed shot (not burst.) ROUND SEVEN: Human win iniative. Blade Titan attacks SV once more with Assault Shield. (He continues to use three dice in two attacks.) SV does not use any defence dice, seeing the effort futile. THe damage is not as bad, but Striking Venom is now half-way through the red zone, and loses Gatling Laser. Disarm is unsuccessful. Striking Venom makes a stupid move, releasing his Iron Drone infantry and havine them attack first. (He detached them.) The frontwards Iron Drone Infantry causes no damage to Blade Titan. Mobile Defense Tank fires at Striking Venom with Disk Launcher (which fails) and Multi-Rockets( which gets one success) , but SV defends with that one saved dice. Striking Venom uses its two Laser Cannons and destroys Mobile Defense Tank. Cyclone Defender attacks the front robot Infantry, who defends. (Way to go, little guys!) Back RObot Infantry attacks Blade Titan, who defends. ROUND EIGHT: Humans win iniative. Blade Titan attacks SV twice with Assault Shield, and SV is destroyed. Iron Drone Infantry attacks Blade Titan, who defends. Cyclone Defender kills off one Robot Infantry. RObots give up and go home, realizing that one Robot Infantry cannont take on one fully-powered Cyclone Defender and a Blade Titan. FINAL NOTES: The new rule was very helpful for the humans, allowing one Cyclone Defender to deliver punch-blows at Striking Venom without being attacked and destroyed in one turn like his fellow Cyclone Defender. The winner of the day was Blade Titan. It was his hard-hit Assault Shield that in the end defeated Striking Venom. The robots realized that Sentries are useless against Blade Titan. Sentry never even got a chance to attack. There was bad dice-rolling on the part of Shadow Crawler, which led to his demise by Blade Titan's Proton Cannon. Striking Venom should have attacked at the end while it had more weapons, insteading of attacking with Iron Drone Infantry first. Overall, Striking Venom and the robots held off well against the human forces, but couldn't defeat Blade Titan and the fast little bugger Cycone Defender. CASUALTIES Robots: Destroyed save singel Iron Drone Infantry Humans Lost: Cyclone Defender Mobile Defense Tank Remaining Humans: Blade Titan (Half-dead.) Cyclone Defender(Little-to-no damage.) So, nice new rule. It really helps those small battle machines who can't afford being hit by the larger enemies.
