Is this a bad time to mention that I got Nocturn half off? ^_^ -

I will be getting Nocturn shortly; I'll let you lot know what I think of 'im after I get 'im. He certainly looks to be one of the better, if not best, set of 2007. Maxilos might top 'im, but I like his size and simplicity :) Anyone notice how the last topic had 666 replies? >:-) -

The amusing thing about the playsets is that it seems like since they're aimed at kids under 10, they feel they can be sloppy and gimmicky in their set design :P -

Rather I am not against BIONICLE itself; I am a 7-year veteran member who has dedicated countless hours to the toys and BIONICLE world; the only difference between you and I is that I have no use for the current Bionicle storyline or primary fanbase. Anyway, DV, all I can say is spare yer energy; after all, Clonies favorite 2007 set is Pridak :P -

Careful, Clonie. You're starting to sound like me. An' that jus' wont do. -
It amuses me that you're all talking about "less articulation" when, in fact, the new skellies have the exact same arm articulation as the minifigs ;) The biggest thing that gets to me about the new ones is that they made the arms so friggin' LONG. They really should have jus' put the minifig-hand-clip-joint-thing on the old skellie arm rather then re-using the crappy battledroid arm.

Aye, like that pre-production Kikanalo that looked just beu~ti~ful! It looked *EXACTLY* like the movie version, and we all know what we got in the end... -

I will be buying Jaller Mahri for use as a Fell Seeker. I may get one or two of the others for parts purposes in enhancing other sets, and some of the new masks are pretty good. But as far as the "awesome" cordak blasters, they're about as useless as the Squids and even less true to the nature of the Bionicle universe. if you pay shipping, I'll send you mine for free - because otherwise, they're goin' out the window. -

Basically, it is my firm opinion that BIONICLE has/had the potential to please just about everyone - However, TLC and Greg Farshtey have pretty well killed that potential, but say its all swell because they're making profit anyway. -

The biggest thing I see in their current marketing spree to 6-year-olds who just want to trash their toys around is this: They are not cultivating a dedicated buyer group. Even now, 7 years later, I'm STILL buying the occasional set and am STILL a fan of BIONICLE - And I was involved in it since the VERY FIRST COMIC. Go see if anyone who got in to Bionicle in 2006 is still around in 7 years. -

Actually, they're worse then the Inika - from both a MoCer and set-players (me) point of view ;) And, that aint much of a complaint. -

The way I see it, the Mata had one bulky, useless part that, while useless in MoCing, made the Mata a very nice set and really tied it together. Now, take Carapar. Carapar has no less then FIVE bulky useless parts: Head, big torso plate, Inika back mounting thingy, and both peices of thigh armor. And thats just Carapar! -

I say that the fact that Greg calls the thing with seats, gun racks, mask and weapon dispensers, windows, floodlights, air locks, and control panels a "Rahi" is the stupidest thing I have ever heard in a BIONICLE context. -

Actually, only lame World of Warcraft elves are distinguished by their long ears. Tolkien, Forgotten Realms, and Shannara elves all have short, pointy ears. -

Indeed, the aquabase IS one of the better sets in that respect that we've seen... However, I still much preffered the "demo" version of it - and it still doesnt live up to the lovely simplicity and playability of the old Aqua Raider sets.
