  1. Cheers! You all know my blatant raging opinion on the current state of Bionicle, but still, congrats :)
  2. I'd disagree with you on the japenese designers point, except that anybody would be better than their current designers :P What first drew me in was not so much the sets but the mythology. MNOLG1 was jus'... the best. Really. That is, IMHO, the greatest flash game to have ever been made, and it is still a thrill to play through 7 years later. Aaand then Greg took a crap on the storyline.
  3. Icarax is a Makuta, but not our makuta, and not any of the new 2008 makuta, but a different makuta that the Toa Nuva encountered. Hot damn, this is still confusing! X-O
  4. I have a question. Why would retailers hesitate to sell a set that looks vaguely similar to one they sold years ago... ... but wouldnt hesitate about one that looks almost identical to the ones they've been selling the past two years?
  5. Thats the one Greg reads, right? If so, then sure :)
  6. ... wibble ... Thats worth a flying friggin' fortune, mate! 0_0 But, sadly, I am not a Space person...
  7. @Aayla: Sorry, cant help ya there :-/ Both Maj and Bshelf are currently down - it wont let me connect to them and images hosted on them arent showing. I can only hope they come back up soon, at which point I will save all the images back to my computer :P Me no like undependable stuff.
  8. Ahh, thats what I thought it was :) Too bad, cuz that MoC looks kinda cool.
  9. Quick question. Wut r this: http://www.maj.com/gallery/Toa-Of-Justice/...go_bionicle.png Found it in a gallery of otherwise legit 2008 images.
  10. Did you just insult Supermans intelligence? :P
  11. Cheerox: The mix of Cheerios and Clorox. Sorry, couldnt resist :)
  12. Actually, its more like if he was interested in coming up with a mythology in the footsteps of the great stuff that was layed down in MNOLG :p
  13. Because I have been a Bionicle fanboy since literally the day it was announced! Because I love many of the sets and Bionicle has been my toy-pasttime for the past 7 YEARS, to the exclusion of practically ALL OTHER LEGOS. I "Bash" Bionicle out of LOVE for something I see as being disgraced by a bumbling writer and a flawed production (sets before story) concept! I am still here because I am still collecting various Bionicle sets and working and reworking my own take on the Bionicle universe! I HAVE ENJOYED MY BIONICLE ADVENTURES FOR YEARS! THAT IS WHY I AM STILL HERE.
  14. I care about having fun in a fantasy universe that makes sense and is enjoyable from all its aspects. I would be intrigued if Greg had bothered to come up with an interesting backstory for Nocturn; saying he broke his island is just irritating.
  15. The argument here is that Greg comes up with completely random and completely lame things such as: Nocturn breaking his island Ice sinking Islands floating Islands floating above a dome with an ACTIVE VOLCANO ETC. There are ways to explain such things, such as: Nocturn gets involved in some kind of intrigue and, in an interesting background story, invokes a ceremony for more power that goes awry and destroys his island and he is punished for seeking such power and its consequence The ice is bound to an underwater object, but if broken will float The island is based on a giant iceburg A furnace in the manner of Metru Nui's Great Furnace is here, and due to the destruction around it it has gone catastrophic. ETC. Bu~ut Greg Farshtey is too lazy to actually think deeply and come up with real explanations and reasoning for his arbitrary physics-denying stuff. Instead, he just says, "Physics are different there", which is easily the lamest excuse to guise a plot device ever. He just wants things a certain inexplicable way and comes up with lame excuses such as "he broke his island" to explain them. - Helden
  16. And they wont. Because Greg will stick with his "Its this way cuz I say so" without actually thinking it through or explaining it. Its called superficial writing, and its what you DONT make a mythology out of.
  17. Do you think Makuta will overthrow Makuta at the behest of the rest of the Makutas? Yet another example at the Bionicle storyline failing T_T
  18. Just when you thought Bionicle names couldnt get worse >_> They sound like they're out of Star Wars :-P
  19. Ah, yes, the whole "Hi, I'm GregF, and Mata Nui is GOING TO DIE. We'll do the big reveal in a few months, but, HE IS GOING TO DIE." Ah, the suspense. What Ikki means by anticlimactic is that, after all this "suspense", we get to see... the mask of life go out. And Matoro go emo because of it. Thats the big ending. Thats the death of the all-powerful character the plot has been revolving around for 6 years. Woo.
  20. Sell them...? Why buy them in the first place? :-P They still rank as my least favorite :-/
  21. We're already in the wack world of Wonka... *sigh*
