Todd quickly returned my email, thanks Todd. I bought 5 admin one on the 7th or 8th tickets. So, that does not make me eligible for the other activities, including the discount. So I guess I will not be stopping in until Sunday with my 5 kids. See you all then. P.S. It is probably for the best that I am not eligible for the discount, I do not need another excuse to buy more block.

I paid for 5 tickets a few months back. I just created an account today. Is there a way I can get this account (and my other 4 tickets) credited?

I have tickets for myself and kids, does that make me eligible for the sales at Tyson's?

I passed up a Rebel Blockade Runner for $350. I bet I will regret that soon.

I just picked up two new in original sealed packaging 10030s for a total of $500.

The mad men behind Pilot Extra-Fine ball-pens (aka Barcelona’s Grey agency) have created a great viral marketing featuring LEGOS with drawn on “badass” tattoos. Straight out of your mother’s nightmares, these LEGOS have dedications to Harley Davidson, lots of angry skulls, and in one instance, a rather racy tramp stamp. Click through to view our favorite tatted up bad boys. more...

Modified 1 x 1 with Headlight? I call them headlight bricks. I just bough ta box of them. I will post a pic tonight. -
The MMV was the first set I bought my two girls, ages 7 and 6 at the time. They very much enjoy it. They played with it for a long time as a doll house before it was taken apart and used as supplies to build the "Life Star" (The good guys Death Star). Now they are into Star Wars, well... and Toy Story, and castle, and pirate, oh, and town. Most themes have been enjoyed by my girls. Buy the MMV and keep it in box for now. If you change your mind you can sell that for double your investment in 4 or 5 years.

I have found this to be the perfect size for out needs. If you have limited space you will find that too many of these will complicate things. I have a few for technic and people accessories, but other than that I try to keep parts in the plastic drawers with baggies to separate smaller parts where necessary.

I have around 200K bricks. I have little need for the above two containers you posted. I have a couple to hold minifig items, and technic pins, other than that they are just too small and cumbersome. They may work for smaller collections, but either way, those containers will not scale as your collection grows.

The boxes are the best value out there. If you can not get them at a LEGO store, then bl will cost you close to twice as much as the $70 box. If you can not find it on bl, then lego.com will cost you even ore than bl. gl. 1x1 : 6150 1x2 : 2800 1x3 : 1800 1x4 : 1300 1x6 : 826 2x2 : 1400 2x4 : 675 2x6 : 400 I just wish I could get my hands on a few 1x2 boxes in bley and dark grey! -
It has been one year since I got my LEGO out of storage. As you can see we, the kids and I, have sorted and used plastic drawers. Our strategy is still evolving but we started by sorting by color. We are now moving to sorting by piece where it makes since. 1x1, 1x2-1x4 tiles are all mixed in one drawer, all colors. The 1x6-1x8 tiles are also in one drawer. Same goes for plates, all the 1x1-1x4 are mixed and the 1x6 and larger are in another drawer. I have plans to build some shelving to hold all the plastic storage bins. Hopefully I can get to that this summer. As you can see on the bottom, my kids love building towns, and I love bragging about them. And yes, they are clouds above the green high rise.

Take a look at Wanted List. Once you build a wanted list, you can search stores by your list.

Can you upload one here, since it is not yet public?

Are you saying 1/3 of the bricks cracked? NO WAY!

Selling off childhood memories...

Sell it all to me! Your best bet is to assemble the sets and sell them on ebay or bricklink. You could try craigslist as well. P.S. Why sell your old blocks? -

Lego Hero Factory replacing Castle?
Follows Closely replied to Artifex's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I hope that your sources are uninformed. The Castle line (call it whatever you want) has been around for a very long time. I would be shocked if it was merged or eliminated. -
Do you have $750 to spend on a LEGO set? That is the low end of what it would have to be priced at. Great Gatehouse. I am acquiring bricks now... I was going to build an entire castle, but you have convinced me to start with a Gatehouse. As a child I tried to make a gatehouse with two portcullis and huge towers. I failed every attempt. Thank's for the inspiration.

Any advice from the experienced builders...

I will be hording all my old gray, as they look more realistic being slightly different colors. However I say that but I am a bit concerned about mixing the old and the new. Have you found that mixing the old and new on a large scale looks ok? -

I just picked up two 7946 at TRU BOGO. I will sell the figs to help finance more blocks. I picked up a box of bley 2x6 and a box of bley headlights the past weekend. I am slowly getting there. -
Thank you for the reply. As I work a mile away from the center, I will stop in a few times on Thursday and Friday. Looking forward to the event. Also a thank you for the head up on the 1/2 off sale. That may hurt my wallet!
