  1. That's true. I can't tell if it's the same bone size, though. I have the feeling it's a module shorter, which would mean that 9016 is back in dark bley (which is something I would be very fine with, as the very few ones I have are getting looser). If it's the same size, well that's pretty interesting. I'm becoming strangely fascinated with flesh CCBS parts. The hands are a bit too human for the stuff I want to build, so I wasn't interested at first. But, though this might sound crazy.. I wonder if it could work as an accent color for robotic characters (Bionicle, HF, etc) without looking like flesh. So I'm actually hoping for more shell and bone sizes, especially 4M shells.
  2. Ah, didn't notice that! That is rather curious, I didn't think they would break their rule of producing bone sizes alternating between black and dark bley (excluding special colours). 90615's little brother, 90616, was produced in dark bley in 2012 and then immediately dropped, becoming available in black only in subsequent sets, because of that rule. I wonder if this is going to be a one time thing, or are they about to flip the current alternation? For the time being, I'm just happy to see a new bone recolour.
  3. Wow. I'm dumbfounded by how boring these look. I think I haven't gotten this feeling on constraction sets since good old Aquagon in 2013. Sad that these are lacking the willingness to experiment the 2015 line showed, along sets like K2S0. At this point, all I can hope in is some droids and some recolours and maybe some new parts. If the Stormtrooperfest continues, constraction is pretty much dead for me until an original theme comes (if one ever comes at all).
  4. Given there was a precedent, I'm pretty sure the sets are going to be smaller then. That said, I agree these give us a good indication of how they'll look like. That dragon is absolutely huge and has a lot of repetition on his torso build, sort of reminds me of Dragon Bolt from Hero Factory, who was at least twice as big as in the animated episode. I got the Exo Force feeling as well, especially for the red mech. And if my eyes don't deceive me, I've seen a four legged insectoid mech with a striking resemblance to Striking Venom (pun fully intended).
  5. They look really big compared to the usual System builds. Lloyd's dragon on its own looks like it would be a 70 Euro set at least. And the red mech seems to have knees, which isn't the norm with Lego mechs. Could it be that the sets have been souped up to make them easier to animate / more appealing?
  6. Speaking of TLJ, who is left to be made as a set? The main characters and villains got covered, someone talked about Han Solo a while ago but he seems kind of unlikely now (for obvious reasons). Could the main characters get a re-release based on alternate outfits they're going to wear on TLJ?
  7. In his reply he said he's already done that to the Titan Scale. Not sure if he means the current version up for sale or the final one he's still working on, though.
  8. I figure I should bump this (even though I'm not sure if I'm allowed), if anyone's still interested. Cyberhand replied to me a few days ago and confirmed that he's planning on redoing the Villager Scale to round out the sharp edges.
  9. Don't forget the ever-present tail/horn piece a lot of sets have used as horns (Pyrox, Skull Basher and Umarak the Destroyer, off top of my head). That debuted in Ben 10 itself. Yeah, I agree you should go with Ben 10. If you don't like the sets, you can reuse most of the parts for MOCing. Notably, they use a few parts that were never used in later sets, like a pretty unique proto-CCBS torso bone and interesting other parts. Kind of regret I never got one of them when I could.
  10. As expected, nothing of interest to me. The Speeder Bike looks very good and I'm sure that fans are going to be happy about it, but everything else is the same cookie cutter figures we've been getting for a year and half. The Scout Trooper's upper leg armour looks interesting, and the Commander does indeed have the panel shell in white, so that's good. Still waiting for Boba and his sand green, but I'll just accept that was inaccurate info at this point.
  11. Thanks! Looks pretty good. I can live with it, reminds me of the difference between the regular Kraahkan and the Movie Edtion Kraahkan, one was glossy/matte finish and looked a bit lighter, but the difference wasn't overbearing to me. Sent him a PM over Shapeways, will let you know.
  12. Good point, I was about to say that as well. Making the tips less sharp would also make it feel more like an official Lego piece. EDIT I do. I can do it if you guys are ok with it. Are Titan Scale's spikes fine or are those too sharp as well? Thanks, that's pretty good I think. Could you post a figure wearing the Black Hi-Def mask? Preferably a black one.
  13. Ouch. Yeah, he should be informed about that. I'm sure that making the spike tips a bit round won't ruin the mask's looks. As for the colour, it reminds me of titanium metallic. How close is to that shade? That wouldn't be so bad since all Makuta models use it, especially Overlord. It would fit.
  14. Still, good to know he didn't forget about Villager Scale. I had asked him about that material coming to Villager Scale a while ago but he didn't reply, so glad that got cleared up.
  15. Yeah, I was thinking the same for the Stormtrooper. Seems almost like a no brainer, 5 out of the 6 Rogue One figures (sans Chirrut) have used them. Hoping for more colours, like silver, though I don't know what character could use them.
  16. Ah, no, I meant the large panel shells used as thigh armour. Baze has them in dark tan and the Scarif Trooper has them in dark brown. You meant those small add-ons on their wrists, I suppose? Yeah I meant that. The head does look a bit confused, but I haven't seen the movie yet so I don't know how is his character. But the build is a lot more creative than the other RO sets, sans K-2SO. They even made small pouches for him!
  17. I've watched a few video reviews and I have to say I'm pleasantly suprised by Baze Malbus. He has some neat details and a suprisingly complex and well designed armour built with Technic. Some really good recolours too. With these sets, the new panel shell is already available in 3 colours. Pretty impressive. Yeah, I got Rey on sale. License fees are bad enough as they are, but in general I can't justify paying the full price for a set I'm going to mainly use for parts. Boba was rumoured/hinted to be included by someone with inside info (to paraphrase them "I know there's one set with sand green parts"). 2015 is enough since Jango is almost 18 months old now. And it should be a no brainer to release Boba, the character is very popular and making his figure would be very easy to do: they already have the head mold, all they have to do is changing a few decals and recolour a few parts, and possibly making his cape.
  18. Wow, yours looks a lot sharper than the one Antak got. It wraps the head better too. Did you buy it from Cyberhand?
  19. I know anecdotal evidence doesn't work, but it's the same here. SW figures are shelfwarmers, except maybe Kylo. I see Finn and Rey everywhere. Not sure about the 2015 sets since I've seen them around very rarely. Too early to tell with the Rogue One sets, Italy only got the first 3 so far. Odd that they'd cut Boba of all sets though, he's probably not an easy seller like DV but he should still be popular.
  20. Weren't we supposed to get not 2 but 6 more sets in 2017? Are the 3 sets we got so far (Rogue One wave 2) included? Even so, there still should be one missing. And I thought we were supposed to get Boba.
  21. I feel I should give my two cents on the book as well. Overall I enjoyed it a lot, especially the Villains section. I'm not going to get worked up about some really great ideas not seeing the light of the day because there's nothing I can do about that. But I found all those concepts really inspiring as they've helped me get out of a creative rut and give me a newfound desire to MOC, and maybe even to give my own version of Bionicle G2.
  22. Not taking into account that I find Stormtroopers in general to be incredibly boring (I like droids a lot more and I wish we got more of them), I'm still intrigued about these. Especially for the vehicle and the size of the figures, but I need to talk about the prices for that. Ouch, those preces are quite high. They're a bit odd too (33 and 66?)- there could be multiple explanations for that but I do have the suspect their prices in dollars were 30 and 60-65. TFA figures suffered that extra fee in Europe too. That said, so far the only Battle Figures I felt were truly overpriced (even as SW sets) were the other 5 RO sets, Finn and Poe. Overall it's been a mixed bag. But I tend to think that these two sets are still going to be pretty big. I hope the Commander brings something less cookie cutter to the table, like Vader and Grievous managed to do. We really need more custom stuff right now. Addiotbally, maybe they're testing the waters to (re)introduce larger constraction sets for the future. But right now I shouldn't be too hopeful about constraction in general. : P : /
  23. Speaking of Nexo Knights, the new Battle Suits have a few trans reddish orange parts that might be useful, like the Black Phantom mace half (guess on who?) and a new axe and sword elements (that, however, seem to attach via brick).
  24. I wonder how possible would it be for one of the unrevealed sets to be another Darth Vader? -he's an iconic figure and any depiction of him is bound to sell like hot cakes, no exceptions; -he can be released both as a Prequel figure and as a Rogue One figure; -by the time the sets come out his 2015 Battle Figure set is going to be 1 and half year old or even older- plenty of time for an updated model to be released; -adding to the above- since their debut in 2015, SW Battle Figures have gone through a lot of changes, namely the addition of gearboxes and the introduction of a whole lot of new parts; -we're in dire need of a new larger (call it Titan if you wish) set. It doesn't sound that unlikely when you think of it.
  25. Whilsht It's kind of annoying, I believe there's a point to that. It's so you can easily pull the lightsaber off with the axle attached, instead of leaving the axle itself stuck to the hilt. This way, you can easily simulate the "disappearing blade" effect (how... is..it..actually...called? SW fans help me ) that is typical of SW lightsabers, when a fighter chooses to put their saber away.
