  1. I dont dare to say, that Jamie made a no-no in the corner section of the CC 1. floor. I know it IS possible, cause i'm sitting with the original right beside me on the desk. But i can't make LDD do the same trick, and make the curvy 1x2 intersect with the 1x6 plate in the 45 dgr. angle. It should be alligned with the edge of the wall. but it cant....
  2. Thanks AndyC! Hmmmm.... funny little detail I dont dare to say, that Jamie made a no-no in the corner section of the CC 1. floor. I know it IS possible, cause i'm sitting with the original right beside me on the desk. But i can't make LDD do the same trick, and make the curvy 1x2 intersect with the 1x6 plate in the 45 dgr. angle. It should be alligned with the edge of the wall. but it cant.... I've been trying now for half an hour But I'll just settle with putting them inside on the floor. Luckiely we know it's possible in real life
  3. Thanks for the great help Lorentzen and Aanchir Now I can finish my little dejavu with CC and be confident that, it's the right colour, when I order my 1. floor inventory. That was my trouble to start with. I didn't want to spend quiet some time in LDD, if I had the colour wrong Also a very helpfull tip about TLG's database. I will be surfing that, next time I have to find a special part. Normally I have been using Peeron. But it's always nice with alternatives
  4. I love my Cafe Corner! But with the size of recent modular buildings, it's starting to look a bit small. And I personally think, that the tower of this building which startet the modular-age, should look as grand as possible But i'm not much of a colour specialist, so I could really need som help here. After the much anticipated update of LDD, I startet to build another 1. floor of CC to get a partial inventory-list of this floor alone. But I'm not quiet sure about the brownish colours. At first I thought that CC was made of the brown colour in the middle of the tree 1x2 in the front. But then I found the dark brown to the left and I came in doubt. Can you guys help me? The light brown to the right is just to show the colour range of the brownish colours.
  5. Impressive!!! The thing I like most about your modulars, are the way you balance the amount of details. Not too little, and not too much. A lot of buildings hav a tendancy of being too boring, and yet again someone else dont now when to stop and overdo the detailing. You also see a some modular which has startet very well at the bottom floor, but when they get to the roof, they hurry too much to finish it. Your works is what I call finished buildings. You can look at it, and say: Maaaan that looks good. And it has a rare undiscribeable touch of being thought trough in every detail. A humble admirer
  6. In my opinion the CC is worth it. Not if you count bricks or interior details. But the symbolic value is priceless. The first modular building I ended up paying about 20% more, than the original price. But I totally understand those who wont pay several 100% more. And YES! I would love to see expansion sets with aditional floors too. It's not very likely to happen though. Like in the youtube-clip, my CC would LOVE another floor in between top and bottom. That would bring CC up to date, and make the corner tower look really grand in comparison with the other modulars.
  7. Woow!!! Nice video. In my opinion the modulars are the best thing that happened in the Lego universe in the last couple of decades. They (Read Jamie) really brought the brick back in focus. I still remember the first picture I saw of CC. I was stunned Thats not possible!!!! Lego bricks in a 45 dgr. angle. It changed everything I thought i knew from my childhood, and took me out of my "dark ages" Unfortunately I was too cheapskate'ish (is that a word?). And I waitet too long. I almost missed out on the CC too. It went off the official market. But I maneged too get it from a german Lego-dealer, just before the price sky-rocket'ed. Unfortunately I didn't get MS. And even though it's not an offcial modular building, I really miss it on my modular shelf. That front stair is relly great.
  8. Good luck on your review! Meanwhile I'll drewl over the gigantic amount of bricks that's available now in LDD
  9. Yeaaaaa!!!! It looks really sharp with a lot of danish-ness (is that a word...). Also a nice minifig-chick. Don't now if anyone has told you, but that OK shirt is not way off. The OK gas-company is sponcering a lot of danish sport-activities in our small towns. If you live in a small town or the countryside in denmark, you would propably be using your sparetime in a local sportsclub. Either football, handball or badminton. Every little crack with a little selfrespect has it's own little club. That busty girl of yours could easily be a young trainer on her way to teach some little league-raskles. Nice touch Looking forward to see you Dagli-Brugsen in the scenarie too!
  10. Sounds great ! The second one, the Suzuki wagon was also just a joke. I hope you can read that between the lines
  11. Hmmmm... the typical danish car could be either a Toyota or a VW. You se a lot of small Toyota Aygo's around here. Maybe you could use a Cars 2 Ligthning McQueen piece for the curvy backlights I just love this new theme, mostly because of all the special parts and colors you can use in your own MOC's. If you wanna make a really dull car, with a danish senior citisen, a Suzuki Wagon is what you are looking for If you see this car on the road, the driver is way above 60, and the speed way belov We call it a "walker with a roof"
  12. Looking sharp I'm looking forward to se your three danish models together...
  13. Thanks for a nice review. I really like the rugged 4x4, and I like the fact, that the horse-transportation we got a few uears ago wasn't a lone star. Dark red It's also nice that this is a set, at a rather reasonable price. You get a really cool vehicle you can use in a lot of scenaries and 2 cool minifigures, one new-forest-look policeman, and a thief in the new altered style. Really nice set, that probably wil be one of the first to buy from the 2012 line.
  14. Looking forward to see this
  15. February 1 Then there must be some high def. pics roaming around somewhere?????
  16. Nice progress LT. I really like that you've moved the light up from the ATM. It was kinda blocking the SparNord-sign at the back, but doesn't anymore The stairs are also evolving quiet nicely What a crazy night with the new Modular Town Hall eehhh? Never seen so many people reading and commenting a single post at the same time. But it's also a real beauty, even though I have to lower my modular-shelf Sorry... didn't mean to change the subject
  17. WHO IS THIS MYSTERIOUS MICKEY26 ???? He pop's out of nowhere and make the day for hundreds of AFOL, and then strangely disapear again without a comment Hmmmmmm.......
  18. I know that High Resolution is too much to ask for at this early hour. But come on Jamie. It's out in the open now. Might as well give us some good stuff to yak about until march
  19. Never thought that I would have to lower my modular-shelf. There's room to spare from the Grand Emporium sign and up, but this magnificent tower on the town hall is going trough the roof
  20. BEAUTIFULL! Nothing less. Simply fantastic. Anyone know if Mickey26 is an aka for Jamie Berard? Otherwise - welcom on board Mickey! What an entrance!!!!!!
  21. Looking great LT!!! ( I spy a white 1x3 ) Nice ATM. Actually it also gives it carachter, when it's pulled a bit out of the wall. And I think it's a great solution with the stairs leading towards it. Some small suggestions... and nothing more than that, it's your model and you decide. But you don't see blue alarm lights outside danish banks. It would be very realistic though with some sort of lamp above the ATM. It also helps people fell comfortable while doing their business and keep crooks from lurking in the dark My other suggestion is about the red thing'y on the side of the building. I havn't figured out it's purpose yet, other than an arcitectural detail. But how about switching it with a fellow like this? It would also follow the design-line of SparNord. Just suggestions... Looking forward to see how it goes
  22. Bricks are good...

  23. I can't quiet see from the picture. But dont you have 3 studs between the vault and the arch-pillar? That would be ideal. Otherwise, a lot of banks in denmark fit the ATM's trough af window/glass. But I can't quiet see how that would be possible at the front, with your eksisting window elements. When the glas is just one piece, you can't just pull out the middle piece of glass, like in the real real world.... Hmmmmm....
  24. Hey L@go I'm a great admirer of your works. And it's a beautiful modular Bank you craftet here. But theres a rather big detail that bugs me. The money-pictures on the front is simply too corny for my taste. It's a bank... it's got money in it... I think these pictures pulls your model down and makes the front too childish. And thats a huge shame, cause the rest of the model absolutely stunning. The interior especially are world class!!! The vault and the stacks in it, is just waiting for the young guy in the street to do his job. The winding staircase is extremely elegant. And my favourit detail is the water splash on the sides of the front stairs. VERY, VERY nice work!
  25. Found this ATM in the city of Dronninglund (Queensgable if you will). It has a build in ATM in the wall. Maybe yours could fit in the wall on the side of your bank? Also notice the small logo-detail. It's a design-signature that you see on most SparNord Banks.
