  1. RED ALERT - WE HAVE CONFIRMATION!!!!! The danish 40% sale in Bilka, will start this sunday (05-08-2012) at 10.00 and go on for the following week. I went to our local store twice this week. Monday there weren't signs of anything. But today, thursday, they had cleared a big area that usually holds furniture, and it was FILLED with Lego. All of it was at normal prices of course, but there were no doubt, what they were prepairing for. Still I needed the absolute confirmation. There's a set i'm on the hunt for, that wasn't on the shelfs, so I asked somebody who workes there. He told me personally, that the sale was starting this sunday, and that they had enourmous amounts out back. So smash the poor piggy and get planning
  2. Well I've done so for the last two years. I think they have to do so, because as a customer, you are protected by law. The store cannot deny you a refund. I don't have the exact paragraph, but it hasn't been a problem for me. Watch out for week 32 or 33. But most likely 32 considering the dates of the last few years sales. A quick googling, show that the sale's was around these dates the last couple if years. Keep your eyes open and your wallet fat
  3. Thanks for your comments I think it's about 3 or 4 years now, that Bilka has had til 40% sale. For the last 2 years I've maneged to find out the date in proper time. Then I've made my puchases nice and quiet friday or saturday. And when mayhem struck sunday or monday, and everyone was fighting over the same box, I went off to Bilka with all my loot after a good long sleep, showed my receipt to the nice lady, and got my 40% back. No stress Anyone who knows the exact date???
  4. Hey For the last couple of years, the Danish warehouse "Bilka" have had a 40% discount sale on all Lego, around juli/august. Yes, a sweet time of the year As I recal, it was week 32 last summer. A friend of mine had a relativ who worked there, and gave us the exact date, so we could stay prepared. But that person doesn't work in "Bilka" anymore Is there any danish AFOL's who know the exact date or week number, where "Bilka" goes Lego bonanza?
  5. This is not bricks... I'ts art! So so beautifull.... as usual from your hand
  6. Excellent description It's great to get a solution on how to mix and match baseplates with regular plates. Especially if TLG descides to terminate the baseplate. Your solution seems a little expensive, but hey... roadplates arn't cheap either (in denmark). Your principle certainly deserves a cuusoo try or maybe a small "How to - guide" here on eurobrick.
  7. I've read this several times now. But I'm still not sure that I get it... (it's probably just me ;o) Do you have any pictures that shows how to interact between baseplates and regular plates?
  8. Let's hope for the best. I really smell compatibility-problems if they change the standard. Ain't that what tey call fragmentation in the app-world. Baseplates aint perfect... and it's a shame you can't atach anything underneath... but they have been around for too loong to change that now. Allright, TLG changed the vehicle-standard from 4 stud to 6-8, and therefore needed wider roadplates. But changing the thickness would really be annoying. PLEASE DONT!
  9. I's probably been discused before about the "Heli-resc". But I REALLY don't like the use of a regular green plate instead of a traditional baseplate. It does the job yes, but it's going to be terrible to interact with roadplates and neighboring buildings. I really don't hope, that this is an indication that TLG is about to transform the baseplate-stardard into regular plate thickness....
  10. You're absolutely right It's too darn small to call it a hospital. But hey I'm not complaining. We relly needed a new hospital, and this set is a nice start. It leaves plenty of room for exspansion to all the nurses and surgents we've got from the collectibles Thanks for the pics og both "Heli-resc" and "Garage".
  11. You just keep 'em coming This is REALLY great! I see a lot of parisien beauty in your style. Hope you don't take that as an offence, if you live in another french town. But I'm i big fan of classic french architecture. You should deffinately enter the modular-contest
  12. Aarrrhhh the cruelty of the school hall-way Excellent School - Tres bien! It's a clever way of using the space on the back of modular-buildings as a school-yard. With other neighbouring modulars, there'll also be room for some more children playing. The thing I love best, is your way of adding moderate colour to the buildings primary white, grey and sandy colours. Especially the red section in the roof It adds carachter to your building. Lots of great inspiration! Thanks!
  13. Very nice vignette!!! And a cool little niche with the forgotten jobs. With a little modification, this building could easily become a fantastic modular building. It's been done before, but I really like the use of minifig legs, for curvy detailing
  14. To great danish products with worldwide succes Never knew this set eksisted...
  15. Nice to have you back in this century Even though I liked you 50'es cruise a lot. I love the idea of small City additions. They're my one weakness you know This is a great shop. Every collectible minifig, ought to have their own little shop or scenerie in Lego City.
  16. What an impressive potential i that collection of lightposts. Really looking forward to see some pictures of your town layout, even though it's obvious that the real WAUW-effect must be seeing such a lit up town in real life. Inspiring
  17. Very nice addition to PetShop. But could easily fit in on every modular street. In my opinion PetShop has had a tuff welcome. It's not Green Grocer, but it really is a nice set, though it might be the least popular. Sorry... back to you It's a very harmonic building, and the interior is very high standard. My favourit detail is the roof. The dual redish colour ads a touch of realism and the center windowdetail makes it finished NICE build!
  18. I like this rewised version! I wasn't too fond of the logo in the first one. It was too croocked and didn't look much like the real deal. That's why I think it's a huge plus for the model, that you chose stickers at the front and back logo. The mosaic on the side looks a lot better that the first logo. It seemed like the first one was too tiny to look right. This new bigger one, has the size to get the right curves in the apple. Nice modification
  19. Pretty cool to sketch your idea in miniscale. That's some high-end roadplates
  20. I really like your female touch on modular building. Especially the living room/office is just spot on. Really great!!! I also like the 1x1 round tile walls and fenses. It's kind of evolving to be your trademark
  21. Twisted kind of humour, wrapped in serous talent I like!!!
  22. Great effort on a modular bank. It can't be said enough... with 6 out of 10 citizens working in the police force, we really need some banks to be robbed But I agree with Readhead1982 and others. It would'n hurt with a little more colour. Especially the inside is a bit too grey for my taste. It makes you think of a prison rather than a bank. And that's a shame, couse you've really got some great ideas and details.
  23. Very nice interior !!! I havn't done my CC-interior yet... I'm thinking something "Central Perk" inspired. But you've given me a couple of great ideas for inspiration. Especially the fireplace on the first floor. NICE!
  24. Wow! Excellent build and hig-end colour choice. This is a modular worthy of an official launch. I also love your generous open-source way of providing the LXF. Thanks a lot!!!
  25. It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, a half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses... Hit it!!!!
