I might steal that front door of yours in some moc of my own. I really like the effect it brings with the wedging sidepanels around the door. And d'you know what? It ain't the stickers that makes this bank look 50's. It's the bricks I mean no bad about your stickers, you know that. But you've got the bricks to speak for themselves in this one. That look and color combination makes this bank look grand

Mmmmm this brings me back That set came out after I had put away my Lego-stuff, but it has this very classic look and touch of late 80's and start 90's. I'm glad that TLG has moved on and reached the amount of details we see in todays set'. I'm no classic 4-stud fanatic, and I don't think that this old style would have pulled me out off my dark ages as an adult, but maaaan.... they shure were fun to play with as a child!!!

A Bank is always a very natural addition to a scenary. It took TLG forever to find out about that, until we got 3661. We could really need an official bank modular from TLG. Luckily you won't have trouble fitting in an ATM in this bank, like in the SparNord

That's a really great strip you've got going LT. It's a great proof that stickers ain't allways bad, as some folks say. They can really bring life to a MOC, especially when it's done thorougly like in your creations. Great job! I'm not that keen on you'r mirror in the hairdresser though. I think that a Lego MOC should be Lego-elements only (except stickers ). But hey, that's just me... love your work either way

I know that "Curvey Clothes" is not an auction-house, a magnificient court-house or Theater. But I Cuusoo'ed it anyway, just for the fun af it

That white and blue tilework at the front door is very good. It looks quiet unique and I think it's clever not to stick as close as possible to the original pattern, but to make an entirely new one. Good job!

Looks good. How about some sandy beaches on either side of your marina? They would suit some collectible Baywatch babes and surfdudes just fine

A little question... does anyone know a way to disemble a steeringwheel and not wrecking it, in order to make exis' camera tripod?
-
Wooow! What an entrance! These building-techniques are fantasic. From the corner-dome, the fencing in the backyard to the interior furniture, this is by far the most innovative I've seen since the Cafe Corner. Who said Cuusoo?

I agree to some level. But I dont think that more girls would go buy TH just because it has a female touch. Modulars are mostly bought by AFOL's because of the relatively high prices. Quiet a few of the AFOL's are very talentet women. But I doubt that loads of women will turn into AFOLs because of TH. It will be the most expensive modular to this date, and if you don't understand, that in fact it's worth every penny and are willing to pay the dough, I think many people would find it too expensive. At least for starters... But who knows

Faboulus rewiew!!! Nice to travel back in time It's a bit weird though, to see a modern days internet-rewiew with the unboxing and all, and plenty of photo documentation on an old set like this. It's like a clash of periods. Maaaan... I sound so old saying that Thanks for the effort Harmacy!

Very nice modular Dede!!! It's not extravagant, but hey, a modular street needs recidential housing to look great! Your garage-door brings a nice new element into the modular scenario, and the colour match between door and garage pulls it home Overall a very harmonic MOC PS: You were one of my favourites in the vinter-village contest. Great job there!

Never thought that I would call a gasstations beautiful! But you proved me wrong!!! Certainly an example to follow...

If you've got a few police-vehicles you're already there There's always ekstra cheese for the hungry

You've GOT to be kidding!!! How is this possible? Very impressive little niche you've got there I recon that Did your little excercise today But I need practising on my wedging if it should pass the upside-down test

Nice one! And I agree. A lot of collectible minifigures really needs their own little shop, car, venue etc. And small 8x16's are a great way of emploing them, in Lego City. Your shop could fit in next to this little one...

Woooow!!! Eilonwy77 really knows whats to do with those mosaic's. The answer to my question seems to be "wedging" of the loose tiles. It's an excellent little beginners guide. I'm definately going to try it out. So all those transparent cheese slopes, that always comes as spare parts can get a purpose.

I'm still speachless after Sonicstarlights amazing courthouse. But I thought it would be better if started a new tread on this question. I've seen some impressive mosaics around different creations. Like Sonic's beautifull hall-floor for example. But how do you keep them in place? Some small mosaics can be kept in place by Erlings, I get that. But this doesn't seem to bee the case in this picture. Mosaics make some impressive details. But aren't they very allergic to bumps when you move them around? Im a patient man, but I can get really upset if you've spend hours helping kids with Hama ironing pearls, and someone bumps into your arm. Is that the same with cheesecake mosaics or is there any juicy secrets?

Good thinking

Thanks Artifex and Redhead1982 (@Redhead Love your latest corner modular by the way). I appreciate your comments. As someone said, it's a classic city kind of build. I like to transfer ideas and principles from the modular world to small city builds. My son also loves these little buildings. So what's a dad to doo The Coffee model is up next, with colours that leads your thoughts to a certain world wide known chain .... wink wink...

I can only join the others.... AMAZING work. Loads of details that needs studying. But the first question that popped up in my head is... WHY? There must be some reason for this blueish part of town, other than it's your favourite colour. It would be exciting to know

Very nice LT. Love the stickers and interior. It's a clever use of small space. You know i've been around there myself lately I'm no Aussie. So my first thought about the BIG Coles-sign was, "Thats a lot of space for a Sticker". But when I saw the 1953 picture again, your spot on!

Very nice! It would bring a lot of life to many city scenaries. Especially I like the "skylight" that brings a lot of light inside the truck. You would like to bye your fresh fish from a bright an clean shop Have you considered to add, som other seafood? Like the green fish or maybe some clambs? I'm planning to make a seafood-shop myself (without wheels), and maybe I'll use some snakes as eel's. I'm also wondering wether red and black scorpions could pull it as lobsters... We'll see. It would also add some colour and variaty to the shop. A couple of stickers on the two sides would complete this. But very nice MOC. Fish on wheels... I DIG!!!!!

No laughing... just respect Some things you just NEED to own, and CC is definately one of them. 570$ is a lot of money. But it's not gigantic. I was lucky to get mine (original set via Bricklink) just before the price went skyrocket. It cost me around 325$

Is there a friendly Moderator who would ad "MOC" in the beginning of the topic-title? I forgot By the way... I'm working on a little coffee-place in the same scale. More soon
