  1. @ Doruk: Welcome to Eurobricks! I lived in Berlin, Germany for 3 years -- it's a beautiful, exciting city so have a good time there! On the Shop.Lego.com website for Germany, the 10220 Volkswagen T1 Camper Van costs 99.99 Euros, so expect to pay the same price at the Berlin store. If you use today's conversion rate, 99.99 Euros = USD $124.71.
  2. @ LegoGBC: Keep those Lego basketballs moving!
  3. @ Aqualize: As Mbmc indicated, the "Power Puller" wheels and tires will fit on those Portal Axle pieces, but the wheels will have a "Negative Offset" (i.e., the inner side of the wheel will be facing outwards):
  4. Yes, on this Eurobricks post, Crtlego wrote, "And now that we have some ID numbers; I was able to call Lego from the U.S.... L-Motor (6000564) - $27 - Not Available Servo-Motor (6000566) - $36.89 - Not Available"
  5. @ Sqiddster: Nope, the 8043 Motorized Excavator had no Power Functions XL motors; it has 4 PF M-motors (according to this Bricklink parts inventory). The new PF L-motors require more current than the M-motors, so to be able to drive the 9398 4x4 Crawler on a single port on the PF Receiver, the electronics of the Receiver had to be upgraded.
  6. I'm guessing that one (or more) 1H2013 Lego Technic sets (released in March 2013) will be using the Power Functions L-motors, and that The Lego Group doesn't want to be caught short by selling them individually before then. The "early" release of the 2H2012 9398 4x4 Crawler set must have scared them. Perhaps they are seeing how popular the new motors are before they increase their inventory....
  7. @ Squizz: I too have some of those Rok Lox 1.9 Comp Scale tires, and know what you are saying. The soft tire compound (and the foam inserts) are part of their enhanced "grabbing" ability -- the tires deform to the ground and provide excellent grip (compared to the stock Lego balloon tires). If the flat-tire appearance bothers you, you could always prop up the body with some Lego "System" bricks until you're ready to play with your 4x4 Crawler.
  8. @ Tacker: According to the "Element Specs" webpage on the official Powerfunctions.Lego.com website, "The Large Motor will not be available through LEGO.com until March 2013." Same thing for the new Lego PF Servo Motor. You could buy them from Bricklink.com: bb571c01 "Electric, Motor 9V Power Functions L with Dark Bluish Gray Bottom" bb572c01 "Electric, Motor 9V Power Functions Servo with Dark Bluish Gray Bottom"
  9. @ ludi: Welcome to Eurobricks! How about building a tracked Mine Sweeper or a tracked drilling rig for a rock quarry mine?
  10. @ Aahnold: Get a butterknife from your kitchen and follow this 's procedure:
  11. @ AndyCW: To get your two Imageshack pictures to appear, I clicked on the (smaller, resized) image to get another (larger) image, then right-clicked on that image to select the "Properties". After you copying that image's URL and pasting it into the "Insert Image" button on your Eurobricks "Reply" screen, you see these:
  12. Maybe VFracingteam was a Lego Technic Figure in his previous life!
  13. For past discussion about VMLN8R's Carver MOC, see this Eurobricks topic. There are some details visible in VMLN8R's 4-image Flickr photoset: Wikipedia says that "The first commercial Carver product, the Carver One, was designed to seat two people, and manufactured and distributed by Carver Europe (formerly named Vandenbrink) in the Netherlands. In June 2009 however the company reportedly declared bankruptcy, and ceased commercial production and sales":
  14. @ Morj: Welcome to Eurobricks! Your studded Chopper Bike looks like it could appear in Sturgis, South Dakota!
  15. In this TechnicBRICKS TechNuggets 13 article, Conchas (Fernandno Correia) also exposed the inside of the new Lego Power Functions L-Motor AND the PF Servo Motor:
  16. I remember building this set, and always thought it was one of the best ones from the mid-1990s. Thanks for the memories!
  17. @ MBMC: Thanks for making the photo-sequence Building Instructions! They are very clear.
  18. Very fine MOC! Since your Brickshelf folder is not yet public, do you have any pictures of your truck in its "transformed" state?
  19. Per the official Powerfunctions.Lego.com "Element Specs" webpage, "The Large Motor will not be available through LEGO.com until March 2013." A similar statement is listed for the Power Functions Servo Motor.
  20. @ Jestb2000: Get your Lego parts using Bricklink.com ("The Unofficial Lego Marketplace"). See the New User Tutorial to see how it works.
  21. @ vwpint: Please send me a Eurobricks Private Message (PM) or e-mail at LudersDG@MSN.com , with URL links to your specific picture(s) that you want to be shown on your Eurobricks post. I will see what the problem is with your particular situation.
