DLuders replied to midengineaddict's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@ midengineaddict: Welcome to Eurobricks! Your 8-wheeled Crawler MOC looks good so far -- I like those RC4WD Rok Lox 1.9 Comp Tires on the Lego 44772 wheels too: -
Land-Rover Defender 110
DLuders replied to Sheepo's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes, here's what The Lego Group says on this Lego Cuusoo webpage: "Congratulations on 5,000+ Supporters! 2012.10.18 Dear Sheepo, Congratulations on blowing past the milestone of 5,000 supporters on LEGO CUUSOO for the Land-Rover Defender 110! You're over halfway there! After seeing this in person at the LEGO Fan Weekend in Skærbæk, Denmark, we're even more impressed! However you know how huge and intricate your model is, and while it is a feat of engineering, the piece count and complexity would make it rather challenging to produce. Once the project reaches 10,000 and enters the review stage, our design team will need to address the piece count and complexity of this build, and see if it is feasible to maintain the essence of the model while ensuring it uses legal building techniques, is cost effective, buildable, and playable. On the second half of your journey, you are welcome to offer suggestions toward this end. Check out #2 on the post Cheat Sheet: How to Pass the LEGO Review with Flying Colors. Best wishes as you continue on your journey to achieving 10,000 supporters on LEGO CUUSOO. The LEGO CUUSOO Team" -
Happy Christmas fellow builders
DLuders replied to Lakop's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Merry Christmas (Eve)! -
@ cammellostanco: So (from your video), it seems that your HPI Racing Ground Assault Tires are much better in the snow than the 9398's stock Lego 54120 balloon tires. It seems that ANY OTHER TIRE than the one in the 9398 set is BETTER. I sure hope that the winning Crawler entry in the 2012 Lego Technic Competition has different tires (for better performance)....

Land-Rover Defender 110
DLuders replied to Sheepo's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Sheepo's Land Rover 110 now has 7,401 Supporters on Lego CUUSOO: On this webpage, Sheepo wrote on November 30, 2012 that PDF Building Instructions are coming soon. Maybe they will be offered through the upcoming MOCplans website.... -

[Software] LDD Manager

@ Bricksan: As legolijntje mentioned, if LDD Manager only works with 32-bit Operating Systems, is your Windows XP operating on 64-bit? -

No, not really.... -
@ rm8: So basically The Lego Group "Rejected" your BOSS entry because it bears too close a resemblance to your first entry? Maybe you could work a deal with them -- you could WITHDRAW your first entry and REPLACED it with your BOSS entry. If your BOSS entry is the best one (and they agree to the deal), MAYBE you could easly get back the 82 official votes (via exposure on this Eurobricks Forum) in the next week or so. Do you want to risk it? I still think that Grohl may be able to help; have you sent an e-mail to him? rm88's black offroader -- http://technic.us.le...ldest&index=298 : THE BOSS:

@ rm8: On this 2012 Lego Technic Competition webpage, it says: "How to contact us This Sweepstakes is sponsored by LEGO System A/S, Aastvej 1, 7190 Billund, Denmark . You can contact us in relation to the competition by writing a letter to LEGO Consumer Services, Aastvej 1, Billund, Denmark, or by phone 00800 5346 5555 or by writing an e-mail – See www.lego.com under Customer Service ." There is also a possibility that Grohl (Milan Reindl) may be able to assist (since he's involved with the Competition also) -- look here for his address.

[Software] LDD Manager
DLuders replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
@ Bricksan: If you just want to get a Bill of Materials, you could open LDD and go to File --> Export BOM. You will get a simple Excel spreadsheet (with images of the needed parts). That LDD feature is NOT AS GOOD as LDD Manager, but it will suffice you while troubleshooting Access 2003 Runtime.... -
@ rm8: Perhaps the Competition moderators think that your entry looks too much like these previous entries (even your own rm88 one below). If you send the moderators direct links to those entries and point out the differences, maybe they will allow your newest entry to be placed in the Competition Gallery for new votes.
