I that topiary! It reminds me of the Flower & Garden Festival at EPCOT.

Yes, I believe you'll see them if you scroll down to the third and fourth pictures.

Woah, you've got a chunk'o'html there that's not helping anybody see your entry. You'd better reformat that before the deadline.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Tereglith replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If I'm guaranteed a complete figure with each purchase, I'll buy some. However, if it's random parts, I won't. Simple as that. I'm not going to waste money on some mis-matched parts. -
Wow, I didn't know I'd inspired anyone! And you didn't even get to see the secret compartment in my airship before you did it! (I still haven't take a picture) I think that the boxiness works for this a little, but from a logistics standpoint, it doesn't. Any regulatory official would note that there's a giant box on the front of the ship and search it for contraband - it needs to be camouflaged to look like an engine so that it doens't arouse suspiscion.

I like 5.0 best as well, but I think that in a set it might have too big of a footprint - any throne room in a reasonably-sized fortress set would be half-taken up by her legs. Perhaps a similar idea, but less out and more up, a bit like my Steam Reaper fig below (I know, shameless self-promotion) Anyway, my plans for making a queen's fortress didn't pan out, but I should have something new to contribute to project before the year is out.

Oh dear, not again. I thought I was through with this when Pellaeon unknowingly used the idea from my medium entry for his small entry, but I guess not, because you've just unknowingly used one of the the ideas from my small entry for your medium entry! This makes my head hurt... Anyway, you've done well with the SNOT here, and you managed to make the inside of a BURP not look too bad, which is no easy feat. The dark red 'x' hidden in the bushes is a nice touch. Good luck in the contest.

Shipwreck Links, Hole 3 (featuring micro-scale Eldorado Fortress)
Tereglith replied to Pellaeon's topic in Pirate MOCs
I have to admit it, your golf hole is better than mine! Bravo, excellent job. I particularly like the water hazard. And no, I won't kill you with my staff yet (unless you have a large entry up your sleeve that involves pirates misguidedly digging for treasure. Then it would be instant death). -
Noah, I cannot believe that you created an account just to say bowler hat.

Why don't European boxes have the piece count?
Tereglith replied to The Green Brick Giant's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It doesn't actually use any more ink. It's not like there's bare cardboard where there would otherwise be a set number. The ink is just different colors. -
VS. My friend has some money to buy a hat, and he appealed on facebook for help deciding what type to buy. So my other friend and I got into a giant war about whether he should buy a top hat or a bowler hat, posting links back and forth in the comments. Then I decided to ask you guys - what's your preference? I won't tell you mine because I don't want to sway your opinion. However, some evidence for the jury to consider... *looks up from sharpening wings of cast-iron bat on staff* What? Why would I do that? Golf clubs are far too sloppy :pir-skull: *goes back to sharpening* Just kidding! I wouldn't begrudge you any if you made a better Medium Golf MOC than I did. After all, it's an open contest. You'd just better hurry if you're going to, time is running out... (And I would be very honored to have my sigfig featured in any sort of MOC, even if I was committing a blunt-object murder )

It's a nice MOC! I like little bases like that, everything that they need to keep going in a compact little area. And your style of photography is certainly... interesting... Fussy means "very selective, having specific preferences".

I went to a camp a few years ago at a local college where they covered the basics of GeoCaching. We even hid a cache! I got a GPS after that, but all it does is point back to my house so I've not been able to go geocachin for years.

Review: Atlantis 8057: Wreck Raider
Tereglith replied to MayTheBricksBeWithYou's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Great review! This has been the set I'm most excited about getting (mainly for that eyepatch head), but the body of the sub doesn't disappoint! I have a question, though, how many pieces does it have? It says on the box in NA, but obviously not where you live. It's sort of a nice thing to include in reviews. -
Thanks for holding the raffle CopMike! Without it I probably wouldn't have built my Jack Skellington, which I think is now going to become a permanent part of my house's Christmas decorations

If I wasn't copying the design of my original cruiser, I might not have included the tube. But part of the description of the original was that there are power conduits that travel around the cockpit and feed into the engine at the back. I wanted to replicate this idea in this version, but I didn't want to have them integrated with the curved parts like the original, because it's steampunk, and everything's out in the open. So I added the tubes, which supply power to the steering propeller at the back. I've grown to like them. I tried taking them off and it made the area between the seat and the fin look too bare. I'm rather longwinded, aren't I?

Welcome, and great debut on Eurobricks! This is a great ship, it has an amazing shape and just the right amount of greebles while still looking pretty sleek. Great job! Don't worry about your English, it's perfectly fine, and we've got lots of non-native speakers here on EB. However, a bit of Lego slang that would be handy for you to know is "dark bley" and "light bley" instead of bluish grey.

I'm really looking forward to this! It should certainly help soften the blows of losing both Bionicle and IJ to have a new, fresh castle line. I already want the wizard impulse Of course, I'm probably going to have to pull a Batbrick with the storyline, making it so that the Snake faction is the opressed former government that was just and good, but which fell to the corrupt Lions due to the efforts of their informer, the Lion king who was posing as the Snake king's trusted adviser.

AAAAAHHHHH!!!! ^Reason for above *breathes deeply and counts to ten* Okay, now that I've got that over with, this is a nice little entry. I like the mast, it adds a lot to the shipwreck look, and your SNOT putting green is very good. The pirate cheating is a good idea, if I do say so myself. The one thing that's confusing and slightly disturbing is the kid thing. Is it a midget? Is it a five-year old with a gland problem? Is it a pod person? Please find a different head. Best of luck in the contest, but PLEASE don't follow the others' advice and make it a medium.

Thanks! I did use solely dark red - I really like how it looks on steampunk MOCs, it adds a bit of flair without being too bright. There is a way to get better pictures, but it involves setting up a photo studio, a task which I have neither the time nor space for. I actually just set things in my dad's leather chair Yep, the exo-force arms and troll helmets are great for steampunk. I thought the Dino Attack headlights were a nice touch, too.

My entry, from one of my favorite Christmas Movies (and one of my favorite Halloween Movies, to boot), Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. What's this? Why, it's a miniland-scale Jack Skellington! (Complete with bat-shaped bow tie )

I'm not certain why exactly I did this, but I did. It's a steampunk version of my Space Police III Modified Baracuda tcx17 Cruiser, and I like the engine rather a lot. The back just tags along, like it did on the original. Here it is (with Conrad at the controls, of course). (Note the propellers) And a couple of comparison shots between the two:
