Wow, very nice! Great details all over here. I've been meaning to MOC my own Dol Guldur, after I've seen this I think maybe I will.
-
Thanks everyone. And kevkipo I see now that you may be right about Laketown being the $30 set, sorry if my last comment towards you seemed rude. I think a new mold for Beorn in bear form is likely. Now do you think we'll see the eagle mold reused? I'll have to edit my original post; there's a missing part where Barry mentions there were 3 buildings, supposedly add-ons to LTC. We know Bain is included in the bell tower set. So probably the other two buildings were parts of Dale. (Ianmrid says the two middle sets were 'more of the village', and one included Dain) Huw: There were dwarves, orcs, elves and men in the sets. Thanks to the production videos of DOS, we've seen that Thranduil will fight in armor at Dale. It's also snowing. So, we can conclude that it's not unreasonable to expect the larger set will have two ruined snowy buildings, Dain, dwarves (Unless Huw meant dwarves of the company, in the erebor set, let's hope there's some of both), orcs in armor, elves, Lake towners, and possibly Thranduil in armor. And maybe Bolg can fit in there somewhere. Okay, that's way too many figs.

Here's a clean list: 79015 Hobbit 5 - 101 pieces. $14.99 (USD) $15.99 (CAD) 79016 Hobbit 6 - 313 pieces. $29.99 (USD) $34.99 (CAD) 79017 Hobbit 7 - 471 pieces. $59.99 (USD) $84.99 (CAD) 79018 Hobbit 8 - 858 pieces. $129.99 (USD) $119.99 (CAD) London Toy Fair reports: Ianmrid's report on EB Huw's report from Brickset Barry's report from BrickFanatics bigospedros' report from FBTB And then there's this image:

I forgot; Andrew also states the release dates were shown as October.
-
There were a lot of conflicting reports from the London TF. It's possible that the $30 set is Lake Town, the second biggest is BOFA, and Erebor includes Smaug. But it's also fine to speculate otherwise when nothing has been confirmed. See?
-
That wasn't confirmed either.
-
Okay, yeah something weird's going on with both of those sets. And CAD $120 has to be a typo.
-
And Andrew from Bzpower has also kindly provided us with exact prices and piece counts. Which gives me a theory on the second biggest set. 79015 Hobbit 5 - 101 pieces. $14.99 (USD) $15.99 (CAD) We know this one is the Dol Guldur set. It will have a small rock formation and Galadriel, Elrond in armor, and glow in the dark Witch King. 79016 Hobbit 6 - 313 pieces. $29.99 (USD) $34.99 (CAD) I think this one is very likely to be the battle pack of the wave. Maybe with Dain, three iron hill dwarves and two orcs. 79017 Hobbit 7 - 471 pieces. $59.99 (USD) $84.99 (CAD) Now here is my theory. 471 pcs is (almost) exactly the piece count of Lake Town Chase. That was $60 CAD. The only thing that could justify a whopping $85 price tag is the inclusion of a molded SMAUG. This is why I am sure the second biggest set will be a portion of Laketown with Smaug, Bain, Alfrid, a few dwarves, and possibly another Bard. It just makes sense. 79018 Hobbit 8 - 858 pieces. $129.99 (USD) $119.99 (CAD) This will be Erebor, or at least the inside. It will have lots of compartments for gold and will include the forges. If we assume Smaug will be included in Lake Town then I think this set will have Thorin, Bilbo, Fili, and Kili in armor, and Bolg, Azog (with a new face print), maybe Thranduil in armor. And probably Gandalf. I don't believe Bolg was ever confirmed.

Quite frankly I am not really excited by this sequel news. One movie is plenty enough and to go further is likely to ruin the charm of the first. However, there are ways a sequel could improve upon the original for me: Less licensed characters. (I like Batman but didn't completely like his inclusion as a major character.) Less butt jokes. BIONICLE screen time.

Hey krono111! Fellow TFOL here. First, I'd just like to warn you that your images are quite huge, you might want to scale them down a bit. That being said, I really like what you've done there with the rockwork. It's a great start! Here's a page with lots of handy techniques. Not all of the links work, but I'm sure you'll find something useful there. And if you'd like, you can introduce yourself properly in this forum. I hope you enjoy your time with us here at EB!

Nice little MOC, the fireplace looks really good.

Many thanks for sharing this, it is much appreciated.

Wow, impressive collection, seriously. I hope you enjoy your time here at EB!

That scene looks like the shot of Radagast entering Dol Guldur in AUJ. The clip of Legolas and Tauriel is really strange, the wall looks like part of the water gate, but 3x the size.

All my cans and boxes from my (weathered) childhood BIONICLE collection are stored safe in my attic with their corresponding sets. (Have absolutely no room to display them all.) At the moment the majority of my purchases are LOTR and Hobbit sets, so my box collection is managable enough. I just keep most of the boxes, like books, on book cases; they look cool and that way they are still accessible. Some boxes (like the BTTF set) deserve special treatment, so I keep them where I can see them. I've always wanted to try mounting them on the wall, maybe I'll do that at some point.

No chrome as far as I can see. Only regular silver. So not sure why anyone thought there was chrome? -

Holy crap that was extremely fast. And a June release??? WOW! I'm good with whatever price they slap on there, that's a gorgeous model. -
What happened last year? Both waves of LOTR were at NYTF. Anyway, looks like this thread is going to be dead until July. (If we're lucky.)
