  1. Yup, in fact, I'm in the middle of a project that's doing that right now! Just be careful though, because the connection isn't very strong.
  2. Just like what my friend Doctor S said, I'd go with PAB over bricklink.... UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS. I use PAB for bulk bricks and plates, because shipping, especially for the amounts I need, can get astronomically high, to the point where I'd basically be paying 2/5 of the order on just shipping alone. PAB is useful for bland, bulk, non-super-specific parts. Now, there's quite a divide between bricklink. It's a great site, but only because of the length of time it has existed for, which by virtue gives it the most amount of variety. As everyone has said, you do need to compare shop, and be mindful of shipping. If one seller lists Darth Vader at $1.99, chances are he/she'll charge you at least $15 of shipping. So be mindful. Also, be VERY careful. It's earned the slang name "cracklink" for a VERY good reason. Just because Vader is listed at $1.99, DOESN'T mean you need to buy tons of random extra parts to meet the minimum buy and make your purchase. I'm not telling you what you should and shouldn't get, that's up to you my friend, but I once accidentally ran up a $60 order 90% of which was stuff I didn't even need, just bought to meet the store minimum so I could get a certain minifigure whom I'd always wanted, only to get it and realize it wasn't that great in the first place. Experience is a big part. Other than that, go nuts!
  3. Nice! Loved this show, and your design is top-notch!
  4. It's nice to occasionally have the softer, warmer moc among all these intensive superheroes and stuff. Well done!
  5. That's a beautiful dragon, great work!

    Canadian Eh?

Mastermind Toys has the new Ninjago, Pirates, Elves and City sets for 2015. If anyone (besides those I already know *cough*torolug*cough*) swings by the yonge near Lawrence location, keep an eye out for me on the job! I'd love to meet up with a fellow eurobricks member!

  16. That's a really awesome build, nicely done!!
  17. I dunno. It's hard to say. There'll be days I force myself to build, and then there will be days where I'm taking the subway home from work when suddenly an idea lands in my head and I run home after getting off and start building right away. As a kid LEGO used to be a play-time activity, in which I planned it as part of my day. Now I just build when and wherever, depending on my mood (an schedule). Great topic!
  18. This is the greatest figure ever, and will be used as the standard by which all current and future minfigures will be judged by.
  19. I've never seen this piece before.... and I want it. Keep an eye out. It'll probably appear again. I've noticed quite a few pieces from the 90s have started to re-surface in recent sets, so I wouldn't put it past LEGO to make more of these amazing guys.
  20. I dunno, for me, it.... really depends on what stage you are as a builder. Two years ago I OBSESSED over minifigures. When I was a kid, the minifigures were at heart what I really wanted. Until stuff like Batman and Exo-force came around, which was when I started getting interested more in the build rather than the figs. However, when I got back into LEGO, all I wanted were minifigures. This was around the time LEGO was starting to focus more on the quality of the figure rather than the build. So, at first, to me, a minifigure was the best thing ever, something around which your build should be based on. Eventually some certain "ToroLUGGERS" dragged me out of that phase (though not without a lot of kicking and screaming) to get me to focus more on build and build quality. So, now, to me, a minifigure is really a tool. There are RARE cases where I think the minifigure is better, but that is the case of customs like Doctor Who (which will soon be fixed by the new set!) A minifigure is just another piece that can be integrated into the build in a number of ways, like using the hair, or the face, or the hands for some sweet mechs or something. Hope that helped!
  21. Ninajgo Titanium Dragon and MAYBE a bioncle, if my common sense (hopefully) isn't functioning that day!
