This is a good MOC, with a nice use of SNOT, but I thought the Jedi temple was predominantly white and dk red
-
That's a very good MOC you've got going there. But like Rufus said, you've got the engines all mis-matched. All in the same colour would be an improvement.

Chrome Minifig Pack - Why just have one when you could have three. R2-D2 (ANH), Boba Fett (ESB) and Wicket!!! (ROTJ). Of course, you wouldn't know which you were getting - a sort of lucky dip.

I think with Star Wars accuracy is most important, but other themes need playability. IMO the ultimate SW set would be accurate but have optional playability functions, depending on whether you got the 7-12 or 7-14 (using the age ratings TLG usually put on sets. I believe the highest is 16). But as long as the ship is accurate, it is a success in my books.

I guess some lazy Imperial guard forget to double-check that the daleks weren't the new droid Vader was talking about.

The three SW sets you'd like TLG to release
starwarsfanatic replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Star Wars
My choices are pretty easy for me to decide, as they include features I could never MOC with my own limited collection; 1. Naboo Royal Starship (3,500 pcs) This would be the UCS set of my dreams. It would include fourteen mini-figures; Queen Amidala (Impostor), Captain Panaka, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jar-Jar Binks, R2-D2, two Naboo Security Guards, Padme (Handmaiden), a Naboo Handmaiden (Generic), two Naboo Pilots and, to add a playability feature, two Battle Droids. The set would include a cockpit with the pilots, a storage room, a security room with Panaka, the guards and the Jedi, a Royal Chamber with the Handmaidens and the Queen and a living area with R2-D2 and Jar-Jar. It would also include a small boarding ramp in Naboo and a station where two Battle Droids would stand. 2. Tusken Raider Attack (150 pcs) A small set with six mini-figures. A specially moulded canyon-baseplate with a small cavern in the side would be included, along with a Landspeeder (yes, I know they're over-used), a Bantha and a moisture vaporator. The figures would be Luke, Ben Kenobi, C-3PO, R2-D2 and two Tuskens. The box-art for this would just show a light coming from R2-D2, hidden in the cave. C-3PO fits behind the moisture vaporator and the Tuskens attack Luke and Ben. 3. The Bright Ewok Tree Village (1,200 pcs) Includes two large trees with circular sections halfway up them, connected by a bridge. Each tree is hollowed out. There is also a bridge leading up from the ground and a passage leading to nowhere, as well as two Imperial speeder-bikes and an Ewok hang-glider. There would be a lot of figures - Luke, Leia and Han (Endor), C-3PO, R2-D2, four Rebel Commandos, Wicket, Paploo, Logray, Chief Chirpa, Chewbacca, two Ewoks and two Scout Troopers. Also there would be trans-light-blue minifigures of force Yoda, Ben and Anakin, Jedi Luke, General Lando and Nien Numb. For playability, functions would make a chair in the Ewok village lift up, and there would be two identical backdrops. When one is raised the other is lowered, so it looks like the force-ghosts appear, and one speeder-bike can collapse, propelling the poor Scout Trooper to who-knows-where. Wahey! My longest post yet. EDIT: My longest post yet just got a whole lot longer. Those ideas were four, five and six on my list. Good choices. (Sorry for the uncredited quote. I saw your post after I'd posted my original post and didn't want to double-post) -
I agree. Blue is the worst except in models with blue as part of the colour scheme. Why can't TLG just use the same mold in a different colour? All of a set type of element seem to be the same colour, excluding technic bricks!

When will Episode 7 be out? I grow impatient!

I don't really collect LEGO Technic and have never purchased or received a Tehnic/Model Team/Master Builder set in my life, but recently, whilst sorting through my LEGO collection for this part, I found I had a very large collection. I haven't found a single other part I have so many of in any colour, and would like to know why LEGO feels the need to put them in so many sets, especially large SW sets, as that is what I collect most of.

Second image? I can only see one image. I have none of these LEGO Games, but I be putting money in the kitty for the Pirate Code. Arr!

I thought from a glance that wolf head was a pumpkin, but a closer look revealed all!

Lego Lord Of The Rings sets ideas
starwarsfanatic replied to Orion123's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Even though I don't really like Lord of the Rings very much, I would certainly buy that set, if only for the dwarf-sized skeleton which would be fantastic for MOCs. I could always use the parts for MOCs too. What about Grand Championship Cup, the Trade Federation MTT, 2006 Community Workers, 2005 Community Workers, 1996 Community Workers, 1985 Community Workers... The list is endless!!!! Well, actually, I lie. That is the end of the list. But the point still stands! Forgive me if this has already been said, as I just cannot be bothered to read three pages of posts. -
Dare I ask... how many pieces? Never mind, I wouldn't count if I were in your situation. An amazing piece of work! It's hard to tell from the angle of the photograph but you seem to have made use of the SNOT technique extremely well. Great use of trans-blue elements to represent the... is that the sea or a river or what? Well done!

This is a good MOC but the bed seems like it would be at home in a Town MOC as opposed to a Western one. But based on your avatar you seem to be a more avid Western fan than I, so who am I to complain. Look into it though. Excellent!

I've never come across Brickforge before and I may end up buying one of those pigs (or indeed ten+) once I've cleared the huge backlog of sets I still have to buy with very limited money supply.
-
A good city and a good utilisation of plenty of parts and of the Medieval Market Village set. Do you know how many parts you used (to the nearest five-hundred) to make this fabulous MOC?
-
I love the water on the set. Where did you get those trans-blue bricks? EDIT: Never mind. A quick search on BrickLink provided me with an answer.
-
I may buy it if it comes on clearance and I'm able to clear out the huge backlog of sets still to buy. I'll have to wait until BrickLink come up with an inventory to decide for certain though. Unless there are some really good parts, no for me.

Castle: Mini 6074 Black Falcon's Fortress
starwarsfanatic replied to Legostein's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Amazing work. You should try making some other classic castle sets if you haven't already. Keep up the good work and keep posting. Jolly good. -
Random work but good. What gave you the idea to make that? And where did you get the pig?
-
Thanks all for your opinions on the set. Now I must find it very cheap somewhere. /Clicks on eBay link at the top of the web page and leaves EuroBricks/

A carbon-freeze chamber would be a welcome addition to a Slave I set. But wouldn't Rockinkurt have mentioned it ages ago, when he told us all what the minifigs were?

I am thinking of purchasing Fort LEGOREDO and wanted to know what EB members thought of the set. I couldn't find a review or a topic for the set so I decided to create one, but my question is Do you think Fort LEGOREDO is a good set worth buying?
