I'd appreciate that, but I assumed that Minecraft Guy was basic enough to work off of.

I really like these, I kind of want to build some as humans for my Hero Factory stuff. =D Though a couple of things bother me, for one, the Minecraft Guy's shirt is all the way tucked in, and well, you just don't have time for that when you're mining and crafting and running away from creepers. Speaking of creepers, the proportions on yours is... Off, to say the least. The body's too wide, which throws off the design, and I'm not a huge fan of how you did the face. Overall, I really like these and I think they're pretty fantastic, I want to try and build one in meatspace, and see how well it works. I'll get back to you on that when I do. I'd also like to fiddle with some of the design aspects, and if you don't mind, post them here.

It's about the same level as writing, really. Which is a damn shame, because almost all the other parts of the show are really nicely done.

Given the quality of the Hero Factory TV writing, I can.

I really hope they get rid of canisters soon. Pure waste of plastic, those. EDIT: Admittedly, they are good at catching the eye. But I already know I'm going to buy all of them, so still useless to me.

I like "Blizzard Bringer". It's a cool name. I want to moc him, now.

MOC: "Hero Factory presents: Heroicis"
CabooseBM replied to Jagersmann's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Eh? It works fine for me, in and outside of LDD. -
Those pieces were available with a lot of the villain sets this wave.

Man, the fanwank at the end was palpable. But hell, I couldn't help but crack a grin at it.

My Little Heroes!

I love how Stormer's face is covered up by the logo, he'd love that.

No. No I wasn't. The style can be maintained without taking away key features of the characters, sure they're recognizable, but I also recognize their missing pieces and traits that characterized them. This is not a style issue, I personally love the style, but I find several design choices lacking. (Although Xplode only has the proper head and colors to his name.)

Well, those were the parts that seem to be the point of contest, the spikes that are sticking out and about on Rocka and Witch Doctor. My main point of contest is your use of "cheated". We've seen these spikes for almost the entirety of knowing about these sets, this isn't some bait and switch; nor have they taken away parts from the set for it, nor has the structural integrity been messed with for all we know. "Cheated" is the wrong word entirely. You can not like the set, you can not like parts of the set. You can outright hate it, if you must feel the need to feel so strongly of toys. But you cannot say you were cheated, of all things. (And that is "you" in general terms, not you specifically.)

Well, it'd be the same price-point with or without those spiny pieces, so it's not like you're spending more for them.
-
Wow! It's pretty amazing what you can do with those new bones. I hope you use the parts coming out later this year to add to this MoC, the Savage Planet peices seem like they'd add a lot to it!

I hope Waspix's wing panels stay trans yellow, I'd love to use that on a toy.
-
Probably because Lego's big presentation wasn't today, I imagine.
-
I think I'll make one based on Beast Machines Optimus if I do, it'd probably be easier to match.

I was referring to "Armordillo" to "Armordrillo", a Ben10 character in a very alive TV series and toyline, I didn't know there was a Megaman X villain along those lines. (Unless you're saying along "Armored Armadillo" lines, then I dunno?)
-
No, it's not. If companies could do that, Mattel could make an "Optimus Prim" blue and red truck transforming robot and get away with it. Consider that "Airachnid" a name Hasbro tried to Trademark, was too similar to another company's "Arachnoid", and thus "Airachnid" was turned down at the patent office. All that aside, an Armadillo villain would be pretty cool.
-
I'd almost rather they pull a Strika and make a big armoured brute female character. Although at least one successful attempt would be appreciated before we do that.
-
Hasbro makes Star Wars figures, not Mattel.
-
I dunno, the last licensed constraction figure line didn't do terribly well.

Not a particularly huge fan of these designs. They ignore most of the important features or weapons of the sets in favour of general personal preference, I guess. Xplode is the worst offender, dropping his trademark and oft-used spike-rocket shoulderpads and his swordthing for stuff not nearly as interesting. Overall his design doesn't really work as Xplode. If it weren't for the head I wouldn't think Xplode at all. Corroder just needs those arm-blade-things switched with his actual acid shooters, otherwise he's pretty pitch perfect, design wise. Meltdown is alright, but I can't hear his voice coming from Shockwave's head, and it's missing his pincers, I can see where the slime-stuff would shoot out, and I do miss his tentacle. And while Meltdown as Shockwave is a cool idea, I actually kind of like him as his own character, and not a reference. Thunder's pretty great, but is sorely needing his gripper hand at least, and have the forearms be less generic-big-robot-arm and more evocative of the original part. Same goes for the torso, I guess, but it looks pretty good as is. His bulk and stature are just great, I like him big and bulky. Vapour's feet and shoulder things could stand to look more like the original piece, or at the very least look like clawed feet. I'd like to see the orange tubes and red Bohrok eyes be present as well. Keeping his distinguishing features is a good idea for a noncharacter like Vapour. Overall, the designs look pretty cool, but their resemblance to the original characters varies from almost perfect to not at all, which, in my opinion, is a strike against them.
