  1. Quite brutal and a lot of fire! I really like how you've attached a minifigure hand to the end of the small blaster as a shoulder part! Very creative!
  2. I don't really know the original model, but you're MINI looks very detailed as usual! I'm sometimes wondering why TLG doesn't take inspiration from you for their MINIs as they are usual not very good or true to the original. Also is there by any chance going to be an updated version of the AT-AT? It's my favourite Star Wars vehicle and all of the official MINIs have been rather disappointing while you version is rather old. Thanks for sharing!
  3. The new Jar-Jar look really fantastic as do most recent Lego Star Wars minifigures. Also as an army builder that may be a nice set even though the transport itself isn't very special. The price is indeed very high!
  4. A nice fortress you have there! I can't say that much to the scenery, maybe there is a story behind it?? The MOC ship is also rather interesting; not realistic, but a creative parts use; especially the bridge between the fighting tops.
  5. Well, based on the first picture I guess the hull is narrowing far too much towards the bow; actually that part should be pretty wide and not much less than the maximum width. The hull would then go narrower towards the stern, like a fish. Th hull is also generally too narrow; and based on the second picture, it looks too high in relation to it's width. The all yellow colourscheme is a bit strange and monotone too. Your tumblehome technique however is an interesting one and I really like you're making an interior and white walls from the inside. Are you by any chance making one of your LDD creations into real bricks? Because that is what this forum is intended for; and what most people like seing here. Your frigates have been among the best LDD creations I've ever seen.
  6. It was indeed nice meeting you and the Admiral IRL; and yes I'll take care of my SigFig more!

  7. It was great seing you IRL! And Vesta is most impressive too!

  8. Looks quite straightforward with a nice, clean layout and simple, but needs huts around a fire place! It's also an interesting idea to have natives holing a trial. Maybe you could add some more texture to the ground by putting lime and dark green pieces there; and a few plants? Please try doing that. I am personally not very fond of your picture quality and since all MOCs are indexed at some point I think it's helpful to have decent pictures!
  9. What have I done! Maybe I've been a bit too harsh in that post, but you have to understand that it can sometimes be very frustrating when people simply claim other's achievements as their own. I've seen it many times and really feel like it should not be allowed to be continued in such wild forms. However, the credit issue is a much debated one and there is no general opinion about it; and since I'm just an ordinary member I can only speak for myself here. Also note that Nobody here would ever request a deep analysis of every single way to put bricks together used in a MOC . Just a simple sentence "I found inspiration here and really like the technique I saw on this ship" would be absolutely sufficient. And by the way, there is no policy on this forum concerning credit, which means it's still very rude not to give any, but there is also no obligation whatsoever. So please do not hold back pictures any longer! Show us what you've done because this ship is a really interesting one; there are not many of its kind around here and I'm personally really curious about your progress!
  10. Odd contest, but sounds fun! I wonder how you're planning to judge which entry is best as a container seemingly doesn't leave that many options?
  11. The combination of techniques you are using here (arguably both are CGH's) seams the best working for a complete ship model to me. I too thought about building an entire hull model inspired by the Prinz Willem, but never started it because I felt it would be inferior. But it's still a very great surprise you're working on this project; and the tumblehome technique taken from the CGH minifigure illusion scale ships might work better than anything else. But we'll have to see how it works out. You should therefore still give some credit to him as there can be no doubt where you're inspiration comes from. Oh, and let's hope you're transferring her into real bricks at some point!
  12. Very interesting that TLG finally wrote down their "unwritten rule". Thanks for sharing that information. Still, without weapons, every toy is boring . The technic tank looks quite good by the way.
  13. Ok, the linked picture proofs you're right! I had a go looking the price up with google; and apparently got wrong information. Anyway, the Black Pearl will be even smaller than the QAR; probably about the size of the BB considering the license costs. That's certainly not good.
  14. Indeed! One of the best IFS Mods I have seen. I still prefer MOCs, but it's amazing how much creativity and energy some people spend in enhancing the existing sets!
  15. Yeah, doesn't look like building a fleet is easy; and even less like the Commodore is going to finish it any time soon. But it's a very ambitious project and that's just what this forum needs! Let's hope we're going to see more of it.
  16. I assume this one is for the JR II contest on Forbidden Cove? Well designed and worthy of being blogged! The boat is quite cleverly designed, but also looks a bit too cartoonish for my taste. It's also a little irritating it flies a bluecoat flag while being in a redcoat port. The plant covered rock is the best part IMO!
  17. Looks promising! I am a bit worried however the small selection of parts may make it look too monotone. Your choice of using the golden microfigures as decorative elements is a fairly good one! I think you should browse through Bricklink and try to make use of every single pearl gold part that exists to have more possibilities; and make it look more interesting.
  18. While I'm generally not too fond of LDD creations because of their mediocre quality and a low chance of ever being build with real bricks, yours clearly stands out, Bart! It looks like a well planned study about the hull design of a ship of the line in Lego; and it's easily recognizable as such due to your precise work! I very much wish this is just the beginning of a much bigger project, hopefully in real bricks. For me it clearly looks like a 3rd rate, not a frigate! By the way, those minifigures upside down ARE funny!
  19. Ok, I'll just ask for a discussion on this matter in the "General Discussion" forum, since without any rule or policy concerning this matter on EB it's pretty useless spamming this thread with it. Besides there are far worse cases than this one; and pif500 has used other's techniques in his MOCs before without anybody complaining.
  20. Also note the SNOT mast platforms and the slight tumblehome of the sides which is achieved by hinges. Looks like the devs had a deep look into our forum. But seriously, that is certainly not going to be the Black Pearl set as what you see in the trailer looks like a 3000+ piece set; and the anounced price was 129,99€, wasn't it?
  21. Cute little plane! I thought models of this small size would not be released any more since Lego moved on to 6 wide cars and bigger planes in their airport sets. But it's somehow nice to see this as I remember it from a catalogue from my childhood.
  22. Wow, that looks quite detailed! I'm a little concerned the minifigure itself gets lost in all the details you added: both the bagpipe and the feather look great, but they are huge! As a result, the torso and hat are hardly visible anymore! Is your pipe actually decently stable or do the lever parts fall off? Also nice paint job on the epaulettes; and nice kilt!
  23. Interesting concept! I sure do like the idea to make a custom 501st and the blue arms look quite good, but you really have to work on the paint! It looks extremely messy as it is now!
  24. Nice car! The width of 7 studs is due to the odd minifig proportions, but it seems a good compromise! I like the use of the boat windshield and the use of the binoculars as exhaust pipes!
  25. That's really cute! Should go in the Star Wars Funnies thread? At least it would qualify for it! Nicely done!
