  1. Lego have released a fan vote on Lego Ideas to create a set from a classic theme for the 90th anniversary of Lego. There is a great selection of themes on there, unfortunately only one will be chosen for a set. This is especially evil as certain themes such as castle and space are so split up, and you can only choose three, with no ranked preference voting! What are you thinking of voting for, should we try to rally around at least one particular loved theme to ensure it does well? I'm open for two of my picks, although one of mine will certainly be for Rock Raiders. Also, I'm aware there there is already a thread for Lego Ideas discussion but this feels like a particularly big and unique thing that it could warrant its own thread.
  2. Really nice use of pieces here. Good scale for it.
  3. It's a small detail, but that slightly messy bed is absolutely perfect. Lots of really great detail here.
  4. Some points in response to this. You call it lazy and dumb writing, but in-universe it's clearly a questionable decision - whilst the crew tell her to say yes, Tilly herself brings up reasons she shouldn't be. When Saru mentions that his number one is Ensign Tilly, Dadmiral Vance's look is of incredulity. Everyone outside the ship thinks it is a bad decision. To be honest, I think Starfleet should've, and probably will after this, assign a new, 31st century XO to Discovery. However, in Tilly's defence we know from S1 she is on the command track and possibly one of the few command-division officers aboard with experience. Honestly, there aren't that many other good picks for XO, although she is definitely too inexperienced at this stage.
  5. Whilst I don't care much for the actual X-wing in this set, the minifig selection is pretty nice indeed. Very nice to finally get General Dodonna.
  6. I will definitely pick it up for Djarin in full beskar and the Child, but having seen the episode it feels like this set tries to cover two things poorly than one. Wish it were either speeder + the attackers, or scrap speeder and have Vanth and a krayt dragon.
  7. Not as much as if we pay full price! Although I'm not going to buy all the sets I would, so, eh. I like the thought of a treasure hunt or something. If Aarhus was closer I'd be interested in visiting for a day like we visit Munich, but it's an extra hour.
  8. More room would definitely get my vote, especially if it means a meeting room. I'm always hungry for breakfast but okay with buying some pastry or whatever in the shop.
  9. I would like to share a chalet.
  10. Why is it a given? They never produced the third helmet version of the praetorian guard, nor did they ever give us Sgt Melshi from R1. I do hope it's true though.
  11. It is now a definite yes!
  12. This is srs bsns, no excitement allowed at EB events!!
  13. Provisional yes - will be definite yes when I have confirmed annual leave from work.
  14. Eh... I'm not sure. Like, yes, it has more significant imperial cues (especially with the officer) but the vehicle is clearly a First Order LIUV. The pilot of the TIE Dagger is a First Order one, despite it having the Sith red, but that could be a mistake on Lego's side. The brickbuilt bantha is pretty good and I guess this confirms the dual-moulded Alliance flight helmet is dead. Shame Wedge still doesn't have a unique head.
  15. I'm currently tidying up and throwing away a lot of old things and I have a bit of a conundrum: what do I do with all these instruction booklets? I'm overflowing with them! I'm thinking of perhaps throwing away all 2008-2019 booklets and keeping the older ones. What do you guys do with them?
  16. My head and helmet have arrived, now my Cobalt Hammer is at 4/5 crew. Lego, please give us Spennie!
  17. In addition to this, the minifig in the microfighter is Nodin Chavdri but he ought to have an olive jumpsuit like Tallie does (albeit without the scarf).
  18. It's just the lighting.
  19. Right, a few follow-up questions: re exhibitions is there any issues re the museum charging guests to see the museum? And does anyone know if there would be any liscensing issues with displaying liscensed themes?
  20. Thanks for the help guys. I'll pass this on the museum staff on Tuesday.
  21. So as to not derail this discussion anymore, I have created a thread to discuss the Finch Dallow minifig situation further. I must say, seeing the anniversary sets I don't think I've ever been less excited for a Lego SW wave.
  22. So as to not derail the 2019 Set Discussion thread further, let's discuss the Finch Dallow situation here instead. I'm being sent the head and helmet (albeit no torso or legs), which is nice although ever so slightly annoying in that I need to buy the torso and legs separately now to have the generic pilot as an engineer. When I contacted Lego I said I'd be willing to have bought it as a polybag or set and simply asked if anything could be done about it. What's been your situation in regards to the Finch minifig? Have you had any luck in getting the new pieces from Lego to complete your Resistance Bomber?
  23. In Britain when I contacted them they said they didn't have the pieces in stock and to contact them again in a couple of weeks, which I did today. I'm being sent the head and helmet, no torso or legs. I only had to take a picture of the bomber for proof! Mind you, I didn't explicitly ask for it initially. I expressed my disappointment in the change being made and that I thought he was going to be in a polybag or microfighter and that I was willing to buy him and I asked if anything could be done about it.
  24. The Inferno Squad battlepack. Very nice minifigures, need to make Dio!
