En Sabah Nur bumped into a soldier from the Town Watch on his way into the Hall. "Watch it, hero." The venom in the guard's voice was thick. "My apologies, good watchman," Nur said with a bow and a grin. "New quest selection is up. But I don't see how one such as you would be chosen. Hah ha."The guard went on his way with a guffaw. Perhaps he recognized me as a former thief? No, it must be something else as I haven't done any thieving in these parts. Nur's eyes widened as he was struck by a revelation. "I do remember hearing many rumors of the Town Watch's corruption." Nur thought aloud. "It must be embarassing to request help from us." Nur approached the quest board. Excellent. This task will be most challenging, especially undertaking it with an ogre. Nur chuckled. I recognize the name of that love-struck cleric from the letter I saw lying around. Perhaps we shall find him a new love interest along the way because I don't think that elf is interested. It could be worse I suppose, I could be partnered with the shade. En Sabah Nur walked to the stairs to find his companions but paused suddenly and ran from the 'Hall. (OOC: I must attend an emergency meeting. Will be back later :-D)

Ah, excellent! I took my laptop to be repaired. Techs said it's ready for pickup tomorrow! JU!

Taking the hint from the gods, En Sabah Nur signed his name to Quest#8: Sacred Sands."Muhammed Al-Din? The name sounds familiar. Many elemental creatures. Hrm, I hope I have enough ether for the task." If he didn't find employment within the next week, Nur would have to return to his wandering thieving ways...
-
Nur leaned in close to the ogre. "I hope the business between the Hinckwells and Shadeaux doesn't spill into the 'Hall. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind receiving coin from either house but I don't want the feud to cause the members of our guild to divide into factions. It would weaken our mission here." Nur scoffed at the mention of the pirate. "You'll never catch me thieving from a boat or thieving period hehe. But I commend his effort in stickin' it to those pompous Bonapartes!" En Sabah Nur tenses as the ogre speaks of a demon. "I'm not surprised by anything when it comes to those Ziegfrieds. I'm not familiar with dark magic or creatures from the lower planes. My training is more in the realm of 'natural' elements. However, I did witness, er...interrupt the summoning of a lesser demon in my youth. My presence distracted the caster allowing the fire imp to break his magical bonds. There was fire everywhere. Burned a quarter of the village I was in at the time. It was a mess. The experience caused me to developed a bit of a phobia of that type of magic. So when it comes to demons I generally stay away but my natural curiosity of all things magic may lead me into another demonic encounter sooner or later."
-
"Dozenhands, indeed. Perhaps it takes a thief to catch one, eh?" En Sabah Nur cringed at the mention of De'kra. "Nay, I never met him. Every time I heard him in the 'Hall chattering away, I turned and exited immediately. I'm thankful not to be on a quest with that thing. I might have dropped a boulder on his head before our party left."

En Sabah Nur witnessed the Emerald-eyed mage depart in a hurry. Blast. She must be leaving for a quest. I have questions about dark magic. Nur turned to see Skrall's large shoulders slump as he looked at the quest board. Nur raised an eyebrow and followed the ogre upstairs. "Hail, friend Skrall. Passed over again it seems?" En Sabah Nur grinned.

Very nice. My trolls have been homeless ever since my stepson destroyed their mountain fortress two years ago in a Crownie attack. They've never recovered. I'd always hoped to make something as cool as this one day though. Thanks for inspiration. Great job. LU!

Underwater Month Avatar Contest Voting
Jebediahs replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
The Penguin: 1 point - Nice suit, sir. Brickdoctor: 1 point - Very smooth transition to underwater mode. Wardancer: 1 point - Cool. -
Hey, I was holding off signing up for Quest#8: Sacred Sands because it seemeed a quest better suited for mages with more ether and a bigger variety of elemental spells. And I prefer to get in Quest #4: Taming the Lions.

Speaking of undead... Where's that Sword of Bashing Evil? Can't trust an orc to show up when you need him. :-P

I'd like to have The Mug ability myself. :) It offsets the cost of all the venom rogues buy to keep up their damage contribution. The extra coin also eases the pain of buying multiple throwing weapons. I'm looking forward to seeing Hybros in action with his new shuriken as he seems to be the only hero brave enough to accept the challenge of using throwing weapons. Rogue seems to be one of the most powerful classes once you fill your bag of tricks.

En Sabah Nur could hear the sounds of celebration as he approached The Hall. The next quest selections must have been made. Nur entered the building and headed straight for the stairs, bypassing the quest board. He was on a mission. Nur roamed The Hall looking from table to table for his quarry. Some heroes were sulking alone while others were rejoicing. "Has anyone seen the mage with emerald eyes? I'm looking for her." Nur paused for a moment before adding, "Not in the manner of a young-lad-with-an-absurd infatuation. I seek information about the amethyst gem in her possession." En Sabah Nur sat at a table and examined his Sangriste Dagger.

The Penguin's Pennywise The Dancing Clown
Jebediahs replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Man, I tried to look at this thread when you first posted but I saw that image in the first frame of your first post then closed my web browser. I, like so many who have posted have a big fear of clowns all thanks to Pennywise. Watching the clip and reading your comic made me laugh out loud so I'm glad I found the strength to view your creation. The knife work on the red 'fro is great. Baby Jeb! -
Very cool. Which faction leader is up next? I vote for Vanda. Here's an in-game reference pic for those who aren't familiar with LEGO Universe: Doc Overbuild LU!

darkdragon made a great custom minotaur using the new head from BrickWarriors. Awesome option for hero diversity. I have a centaur cleric/paladin using the body from BrickForge but I don't want to switch.

Due to his father's training, En Sabah Nur silently approaches a table without its occupants' notice. Forgive me for interrupting your merriment but I have a question for the Metasimian. Might your scholarly kin have any tomes on how one could achieve new abilities that don't come natural to one's chosen profession?
-
Morning...I thought about it but I'm quite fond of my dagger. I plan on upgrading it after my first quest anyway. I appreciate your effort with the calculations. Who's your short friend there?
-
En Sabah Nur studied the guard captain's request. Hmm, the title of "Thief-Catcher" would damage my reputation among the social circles I associate with. However, I am attempting to find more virtuous company. Nur signed his name to Quest #6: WANTED! Donny Dozenhands. En Sabah Nur raised an eyebrow at Draco's quest. No magic users ,eh? I'd be interested to see how I'd fair without using magic. Nur scanned the room, noticing many eager and capable non-magic wielders. No...I think I'll stick to the mystic arts. En Sabah Nur grinned.

I'm afraid my purse is full of coin unaccepted in these lands. I've yet to amass enough of the native gold to make such a purchase.
-
En Sabah Nur chuckled. Your story makes me smile every time I hear it, Skrall. Ogres breaking down the stereotypical boundaries one night class at a time. Nur turned to the barbarian. My name is En Sabah Nur. I grew up theiving among orcs but am working on changing my ways. Impressive hammer ye have there. Of course I prefer a sharp dagger. Keeps things up close and personal. Slips neatly between ribs. Also nice for separating people from their coin purses... Xander shifted in his seat. It seems you've joined a couple of scoundrels. No worries friend, we're all heroes here. En Sabah Nur grinned.
-
Indeed, we shall fair well no matter what challenge we undertake. Especially if these over-talkative whelps who're used to sleeping in inns and comfy beds every night can succeed. Nur peers around the 'Hall. I hadn't realized news of my scuffle had traveled so fast. They were merely boys pulling a ruse I myself have done many times in my youth. After a small display of my power I sent them on their way unharmed...for the most part. Perhaps we'll be fortunate enough to adventure with one of the more accomplished fighters as their experience and battle prowess would increase our chances of success. En Sabah Nur looks to Jess Islanti before he eyes Cryfder. No, too heavy. Nur leers at the Fang Dagger by Tesni's side. Hmmm. I must remember to search for her name on the quest boards. En Sabah Nur grinned.

[Comic] Jeb-U: Unlock your Imagination!
Jebediahs replied to Jebediahs's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Thx for comments guys. I have the next 7 or so in my sketch book but not in the computer yet. Trying to get at least two up this weekend. Originally I wanted to release 10 strips all at once before I got to a regular update schedule but it didn't turn out that way. :-/ Hehe I use *cough* Macromedia Flash MX 2004 to do my comic. It's the animation software before ADOBE(photoshop) bought it. I know there are newer and better programs to use but it's what I started on and am comfortable with. LU! -
What is going on with the new Ninjago update? I only briefly briefly skimmed some info about it. Is it out already or coming soon? I wish I could play. :'( LU!
-
En Sabah Nur signs his name to both Quest #4: Taming the Lions and Quest #5: Cave Sounds as he has no allegience to either faction before returning to his doodles...

Did anyone continue with the development of a revisitable dungeon idea? Or a raid dungeon that requires more than one 5-6-man party? LU!
