En Sabah Nur grinned as he and his companions panted heavily, out of breath. "Well done Erdathcath. Aye, the East Wing works for me as well." -

The party's single mage can only watch as his team mates battle the animated stone creations. Careful not to poison or cut himself, Nur finished preparing his blade with venom as Erdacath is struck by a gargoyle's claw. "Ratibor! Perhaps we should flee and explore another wing. We can return here once we've become stronger. Either that or heal Erdathcath or she can take a potion because she'll be knocked out from any more damage rendering our only means of escape (smoke bomb) useless. If ye wish to continue to the fight, I'll attack Gargoyle A from the back row!" -

"Megabloks..." Despite his control over the earth, En Sabah Nur knew his spells would be ineffective. These stone beasts would prove immune to any rock thrown at them. If he dared try, his spells would crumble harmlessly on the gargoyles or outright miss should the golems take flight. The mage knew he was in trouble. "Friends, I'm afraid I won't be using any magic for this encounter. Not only do I not wish to cause harm to this fine building but my spells are useless against these types of foes. However I will assist you in healing, Ratibor by distributing Potions when necessary during my turns. If you want to risk that nasty special for a round, go ahead as it won't knock you out in one hit. Alf and Erdacath should tread cautiously and stay in the back row. This fight will be a test of our endurance. I will take my turn to apply Venom to my dagger." En Sabah Nur took a defensive stance in the back row. He hoped his luck would hold out. -

Weary of traps after having a ceiling collapse on him in his previous quest, En Sabah Nur moved his hand to the hilt of Sangriste and slowly followed the cleric. "Aye, we must investigate. Alf be ready to shield Ratibor from whatever we may find. You're quite adept at jumping so if any harm should head towards our cleric friend, throw yourself in front of him." The dark mage chuckled and squinted as the party moved closer towards their target. -

Nur exhaled with a sigh of relief. He didn't want to be stuck alone with the talkative barbarian. "The atrium it is. Lead on Ratibor. Let us truly begin this quest." -

"I am ready to wait for dusk but how much time do we have to catch the vandals before students arrive? In other words, how will time be measured?" -

En Sabah Nur continued to marvel at the impressive structure and gazed longingly at the passersby. The geomancer had learned his skills from "the streets" and "on the job" type training. He always wondered how he'd fare in a more structured learning environment. "This must be the kind of institution the ogre's kin attends." While the barbarian and cleric were interrogating their host, Nur couldn't help but wonder as to the whereabouts of Erdathcath. -

En Sabah Nur walked down the stairway, watching the students interact with each other while Lector spoke. He ran his hand along the lion statues and pillars admiring the architecture. He heard is party leader's question. Nur also wanted to know if this guardsman was a man of integrity. Maybe he simply fell asleep on duty. "Lector, what exactly has been 'scribbled' on the walls? These 'profanities' may give us insight as to who the culprits are if we know what has been written. If the words are too obscene to say aloud, could you write them down for us?" -
Through clenched teeth the mage greeted his questmate. The barbarian's crushing grip caused the mage to wince and the intense handshake rattled his jaw. "Have you made the necessary preparations for our mission? Our journey begins soon." Nur looked around the Hall for his other companions. For the first time in a long time, he was nervous.

En Sabah Nur buys from Portia: {En Sabah Nur buys Tonic x3} 50g - 45g = 5 gold remaining {En Sabah Nur buys Potion x1} 5g - 5g = 0 gold remaining "Looking lovely today, Portia. I'll need a few items if you please." Nur makes his purchase with a wink and departs for the Hall.

En Sabah Nur saw that the ogre and his new aeromancer friend, Arasmyth would be questing together. The mage grinned. He would have to wish them well later. He looked to the next quest. "Alf Gregory...now why does that name sound famil-" Nur's eyes widened in shock, horror, disgust..etc. as his memory returned. The silent scream from the mage was deafening. "The barbarian from the stairway." Nur sighed and looked at the rest of the list. He didn't know Erdathcath but the named sounded elven. At least there was only one in the party. Nur had difficulty distinguishing between elven faces most likely due to his orcish upbringing. The only reason he could recognize Arasmyth is from the elf's large hat and impressive beard. The dark mage smiled when he saw the disciple of Ennoc's name. The wreckless barbarian and the civilized cleric who inspired visions of Ennoc. The irony was not lost on the mage. "The gods certainly have a great sense of humor." En Sabah Nur exited the Hall for the marketplace. This would indeed be an interesting adventure.

Nothing to add. I completely agree with your entire posts WBD. I'm most likely going to play a mage with only one gem just because all the other mages have almost every gem already. I'm glad you don't have super upgrades. They don't fit with your quest as well as finding a couple of insane items in a lost tomb. @Hybros - you should have plenty of time to prepare quests as your char was sold out by his teammates.

What're the possible reputations, Hated, Hostile, Unfriendly, Neutral, Good, Honored, Revered?

"I believe I put my name under quests 10 and 11."
-
"Aye, those are the worst kind..." A hero's entrance into the Hall once again caught Nur's attention as a barbarian displayed his newly acquired weapon. He and an elf were bragging about their upgraded equipment. Was that Haldor's 'Jess'? All elves looked a like to the mage. They must be quite accomplished if they were carrying such impressive weaponry. The duo's conversation about quest selection made Nur curious about his current company's desire to quest. "Which quests did you sign up for again, Arasmyth?"
-
YES! I've been waiting for this but your knight and ranger haven't been around to post much. Someone should drag De'kra to the Hall.
-
Nur looked to the ogre then took a bite of his chicken. "Yes, crafty bastard that thief is. He also managed to drop a bunch of bricks on our heads before his escape."
-
Cinna please shoot De'Kra with a Darkness spell the next time he's KO'D.
-
Now that Quest #4 is taking a break in Eubric, does that mean anyone can post in your quest? Mopag's pale skin and an elf's face/expression. Seems like a good half-elf Mopag to me.
-
"Yes Arasmyth. I remember you." En Sabah Nur turned to the ogre. "He and I have were researching similar interests in the library. Speaking of which, what ever happened to that undead fellow claiming to be a hero?"
-
En Sabah Nur smiled weakly at the sound of the ogre's voice. "Aye, I'm fine. Just lost in thought." The Heroes of the Hall must have been talking loudly because Nur also had throwing weapons on his mind. "Hey Skrall, what're your thoughts on throwing weapons? I tried to take up throwing knives once but missed my target nine times out of ten."
-
Nur's eyes darted from table to table and saw no one had noticed the occurence. He decided it was only a hallucination brought on by the hunger pains in his stomach. "I...uh, no. It appears I have stumbled. Thank ye for catching me." Ratibor helped the mage to his feet. "My name is En Sabah Nur and it appears that I am weak with hunger. If you'll excuse me, I must tend to the beast within my belly before I faint again. It was nice meeting you." En Sabah Nur sat at the bar. He put his elbows on the table and rested his chin on his hands. What the hell just happened? Whatever it was he'd have to find out later. Nur was in the mood for chicken. "Now where's that rogue with the big funny hat?"
-
Nur's brow raised in curiosity as the cleric in white entered the Hall. He could see a glow radiating from the white cleric and felt an intense warmth as the man reached the top of the stairs. The dark mage was drawn to this cleric and without realizing it, his feet began walking toward him. Perhaps the light of this man could turn the ex-thief away from a life of wrongdoing for good. "Forgive me cleric but I must know your name." The mage-thief reached out and grabbed the cleric's arm to stop him. A white light emanated from Nur's eyes and mouth as he was assaulted with images featuring heroic acts of bravery, justice, and...Ennoc. En Sabah Nur managed to break contact and doubled over from the experience, exhausted. The cleric turned and saw the mage on his knees. En Sabah Nur looked up at the cleric with tears in his eyes and grinned.
