  1. ( ) Atramor blinked at the strange figures, glancing left and right at the orc corpses strewn around the room, silently noting the trio all sported the town guard colors. "We were busy fightin' off the bulk of these bastards. I assume you're Particia's people? To be entirely honest, ya' don't match up with the glorified errand boys I've come to know as the guards."
  2. Yeah, this is a really awesome party. Everyone works really well together, but then of course there's always friction between several of them.
  3. Jeez. I wish Skrall could use Ratsbane, I wanna see this happen. I'm the only one that consistently can.
  4. x2 on Beasts due to the Ruby, x2 on Beasts and Vermin due to the Opal, x2 on Vermin due to the Sapphire, and then another x2 to Vermin with the Cowl. Ah, wait, that's not right. One minute. x32, but that's still a lot.
  5. Cool. I feared I had ruined it because I kept failing to roll Special Mirror on the Ratmancer, I wanted a rat war so bad.
  6. Atramor frowns at Bob's comment, then, eyes wide, he stows his weapons. "Black powder? The whole damn ship'll be blown to bits..." Without hesitation, he strides over to the hatch.
  7. I hope we run into Vermin/Beast type rats soon. I want to try out my x128 multiplier.
  8. Atramor felt his reflexes slow, the sudden burst of haste, courtesy of the Smelling Salts, ebbing away. He winced at Nyx's inhumane squeal - combined with the headache that seemed to be occurring to him due to the repeated Hexes, it was not a fun feeling. He shook it off, however, chuckling as the orc's ship was completely capsized. "Thanks for the heal, Boomin'ham," Atramor nodded to the wayward paladin, tucking the gold down into his cloak, pulling the Ratmancer's Cowl at once over his head. The word x16 damage to Vermin were ringing in his ears. He grinned. "Nah, mate, I know the lure of a new weapon, and I've already got one. I'm fine with my share of the loot. But give Nyx something nice next time, if she hits you with that staff we're all screwed." McCafferey perched stoically on the railing, beady eyes following the prow of the slaver's boat and it slid completely under the water. As soon as it had, she returned to Atramor's shoulder, clucking at his new hood. He merely shrugged, unsheathing all of his weapons and hastily wiping them free of blood. "So, Lorenzo. Ya' still haven't said how you came to captain this ship." He glanced over at Skrall as the ogre put in his word. "Lack of safety is just another word for more loot and experience, ain't it?"
  9. Sounds awesome! Glad to see Mallelio and XX will be making an appearance.
  10. Optimism is looking on the bright side of things, not the twisted version of what someone thinks is the bright side of things.
  11. So Cronk won't drink Mead because he's a Paladin.....but he'll wield a sword used by an insane splinter of a god to slaughter to his allies? Fair enough.
  12. You can blame me for that. Amethysts are hard to come by, I had to make an offer...
  13. Wait...Harlots can use whips, can't they? Nooooooooooo! It's a surprising path, definitely not one I expected Alexis to take. Really interested on seeing how that turns out. And the remarks Atramor's going to make to Althior about it.
  14. Technically, it is how the Shield works, but it doesn't make sense (in a purely strategic context) for someone to try and heal a KO'd player. RP-wise, though, it's probably best to ask players before you assume their actions will be affected by RP. Same thoughts
  15. Right. And the only two people who can use it right now are both Clerics. I have to agree, the Blessed effect is getting a bit obsolete with the massive health heroes are starting to have. Still, it's a useful item.
  16. Oh. Well, the suitability makes it somewhat fair. I'm assuming the hero needs to be wielding the light-elemental weapon for the Splinter to actually work? Makes sense, an artifact related to Ennoc useless against Holy enemies.
  17. I believe that's the fourth Lucky artifact in the game.
  18. I'd base your decision on your party's intended route, the names of the locations often hint at its occupants. For example, the next logical location is either gonna be the Ghastly Marsh, Raging Rapids, or Butterfly Plains. There's probably going to be Demons/Undead/Humanoids in the Marsh, Aquatic monsters in the Rapids, and probably Flying Vermin on the Plains.
  19. Right. At worst, it could be changed to The Juggernaut shares its SP with the weakest hero fighting in the same row.
  20. "Aye, that we will. Though your fightin' style's far different than mine," Atramor remarked, as Boomingham led Lorzeno and Bob into one of the remaining orcs with unrestrained strength.
  21. It's in the training room. You do have a point. Whereas Skirmisher's a more defensive-based tank with offensive buffs, Juggernaut seems to be the opposite. Offensive rolls, but with a defensive buff could be interesting. Still, the whole team having a Juggernaut's SP could be potentially game-breaking. What if Docken was one? Protective: The Juggernaut may choose to share its SP with any hero in the same row. Does that sound balanced?
  22. Atramor's eyes seem to flash, a feral grin on his face as he steps backward, carelessly tearing the Sword out of the drummer-orc's chest as he pounds his feet on the floorboards in a manner reminiscent of the divine melody. The blade seemed almost....satisfied, as the lifeless corpse of Blister slid off of it. The edges, sharper, the balance, better. McCafferey couldn't help but put in a short comment. "That is a...hungry weapon. Feed it." Pleasantly surprised at the effects at the weapon's first kill, he went to prepare for its second. Stepping from around Boomingham's shield, he lunged at Slaver Orc D from the front row, sweeping the Heavy Flail from his cloak. Twisting with ease thanks to his temporary haste, he then whipped the Sword of Ancestral Hatred across the same slaver's orc-standard face, again from the front row. Meanwhile, Jacob leapt over Boomingham's shield enthusiastically. "Hey Christian, watch this! Ennoc's Fury Uppercut!!!" He proceeded to flourish his cutlass wildly at Slaver Orc C from the front row. "That was so badass. Feel the light, orc."
  23. Both sound pretty similar to Skirmisher, though.
  24. Raiders can't use the Healing Staff anyway. The way I understand successful rolls, it would have no effect, but passive or non-damaging Shields (Berserkers, Paladins) would still take place.
