Popped into the Brighton Lego store and picked up two sets of series 8 minifigures for my son and I. Also ordered the Black Pearl via S&H as its no longer available in store and got the Zombie car free of charge

Has anyone seen the Black Pearl on offer anywhere? I can't find it in any local stores so I'm going to have to buy online so any help would be fantastic! Many thanks!

Has to be 6285 Black Seas Barracuda! There is such a choice but having just bought me a boxed one of these, I have to say it is a fantastic ship

For me its just spending lots of time on Ebay with my fingers crossed! There is craigslist in the U.S where some people seem to get some awesome bargains. In the U.K, Gumtree can sometimes have great deals from private sellers but you have to get in there quick! Keep an eye on your local free ads paper too.

If you know where to look you can still buy sealed sets although the prices will be a little higher as they are no longer in production. There is the usual Ebay route but finding sealed sets may take time, have you heard of Bricklink.com? I see you are a new member so theres a good chance you are yet to be enlightened! I'm very close now to having all the ships I want. Today I bagged myself a boxed 6285 Black Seas Barracuda for a little over £40!

I think they look pretty darn awesome as they are! I'm very jealous of that collection and if they were mine they would have to stay out on display for the world to see! If you really have to put them away then the only way to do it is to store them all by set separately. You'll regret muddling up the pieces, I know I would!

This is going to be huge! I'm very impressed with what I can see so far, however the first picture isn't working for me, I just have a little red x? Anyhoo good luck with the finished design, are you intending to actually build it with bricks or keep it as LDD?

Chuffed to bits simply means i'm very happy. I guess it's an English saying then if you haven't heard it over your side of the pond. It took me a little while to get one for a good price, be patient! There are bargains out there to be had!

I am chuffed to bits today! I managed to get me a 6274 Caribbean Clipper last night at a bargain price on Ebay. No box sadly but it's complete so I'm happy.

The brown boat in the bottom left corner is from one of these sets. Theres seventeen on that list though!

Hi all, I am having another little clearout as I am once again making room for some Pirate sets. I'd much prefer to trade these sets/parts for Pirate related bits and bobs. I'm looking for bluecoats mainly but would also trade for redcoats or pirates. Obviously any Pirate sets would be great or parts of sets too! I've rekindled my love affair with classic pirate sets and bagged myself 6265 Sabre Island and 6276 Eldorado Fortress. I had both sets as a kid and had most of the parts for both still so after a small Bricklink order, they are both mine once again!

Brickarms are good, excellent even but BrickWarriors far surpass every other aftermarket firm out there! The new parts are as usual, awesome! Having said that I sooooo wish you guys would release the parts individually as others have said. I'm sure the orders would come flying in if people could buy just the parts they want. I have a parts fund here just waiting to be sent your way

Here you go! I really wanted to use gold again but I couldnt find any of the rounded pouldrons in that colour. You can still see how they work though. The last two pics use ones that I painted myself, they were the closest I had to dark red.

I think it looks just fine with the BF pauldrons fitted. The helmet sits maybe half a millimetre higher than it should, can you tell much difference in the pics? (obviously with the neck armour piece fitted any minifigure head sits slightly higher than it usually would however.) I say go for it, my pauldrons are now back on their original owners shoulders but I think they look great on Iron Man and as I have many spares, he may just get some of his own later today *Edit* I should point out that I didnt try the helmet with BF's other shoulder pauldron design, the more rounded type. I'll give that a bash when I get five minutes! *Edit again!* Works just fine with the rounded pauldrons too

Has to be classic for me! I'm not saying PoTC aren't any good, indeed I think they are fantastic but nothing beats the original Pirate sets and figures. Having said that I did buy the QAR however it is now crewed by some proper classic figs.

I'm gonna need a bigger display case! These figs look fantastic, have to admit I haven't heard of a couple of them but that doesn't make them any less awesome! The white suited Batman has to be one of my favourite figs of all time, roll on 2013! *Edit* Hang on a sec, does this mean there wont be any Green Lantern sets?

I bought lots of samurai and ninja parts from Minifig.cat which i'm sure are Sidan. I love them and to me they are no different to Brickforge, BrickWarriors etc.... Whilst I know they wern't made for Lego specifically, they do fit very well and look the part when on display! Thats one of my guys with a mix of aftermarket and Sidan parts. I'd say go for it and buy a few parts, i'm glad I did

This is excellent! I love the colour and those blue parts on the front fit really well. I havent seen them before, what set do they come in?

Yep! I'd say white myself, im sure that was the first colour available?
