  1. Only 6 more 'till we get to the halfway marker! Go Space Marines!
  2. Ummm... I hate to be the devil's advocate, but... why do you have windows that only show the side of the ship? (The two side "bubbles" on the center "tooth") Doesn't seem like a very logical placement... Maybe a nice transparent top/bottom dome instead?
  3. I there! Very nice - and ambitious - project! One thing I couldn't help noticing: your walker's legs have the "knees" fixed at 90 degrees, making it very awkward, and not very efficient in respect to ground contact. Have you ever considered an arrangement with two parallel beams in the arm so that the forearm would always be perpendicular to the ground, making it more efficient?
  4. LOL, Space Shootle, I see what you did there! :p Anyway, it's a nice little craft, keep up the good work!
  5. Why oh why hasn't lego brought back Blacktron yet? Your MOCs make me see what we are losing...
  6. After much consideration, I will offer the following sugestions: - Switch the place of the rocket launcher with the engines and make the engine mount rotating (A little VTOL action...); - Shorten the hull by 4-6 studs, with the wings so far back it looks a bit unbvalanced, front-heavy; - Delete the front "floats" (the things beneath the engines) and replace them with weapon pods, to give a little more "bite" to the dropship. These are just my humble suggestions that would make an excellent model into a perfect one! Regardless, carry on MOCing! Earth must be protected!
  7. Awesomesauce, Plastikman! Keep up the good work!
  8. Excellent design! One of the best offerings in a while! Like others have said, it readily evokes the Cheyene dropship from Aliens! 5 out of 5!
  9. Wow, that's quite few men. In the Portuguese Army, it's: 1 fire team = 5 men. 1 squad = 2 fire teams. 1 platoon = 3 squads. A company = 3 platoons.
  10. Why-oh-why hasn't this been frontpaged yet? The commuity at large NEEDS to know about this, not just the sci-fi section...
  11. I bought one of these and it came with a new-model brick separator. It used to come with one of the old-model brick separator.
  12. 2. The Harbour Tug efferman - 4 POINTS 14. Piper Super Cub Float Plane dhc6twinotter - 3 POINTS
  13. Wow, Voodoo Hand, your project is eerilly similar to the first iterations of my own effort! With some differeces, of course: the location of the engines and the battery is switched and I used M-motors instead of XL (silly me, that poor thing couldn't even turn in the grass!). Curiously, my own tank also can't run straight! I guess it has something to do with the fact that one of the engines is "reversed" on the remote. Is that also the case in your project? I'm also trying to make a full tank, turret and all! I guess I better step up my game, the competition's closing in! :p Best of luck for your project! Oh, and just a hint for the suspension: shock absober.
  14. Hi there! I think I got a new one: the old 24 teeth crown gear is badly modeled, like someone rushed it. It has no resemblance with the actual piece (straight edges instead of round, shallow teeth) and to make things worse, atleast on one of the side, it can't touch with another part. Together I attach a picture so you can see the differences.
  15. Nice Awesome creation, Zblj! It's not all days that you see a floating technic creation, especially one that has electrical parts as well, that takes "blocks"! Have you considered using the bigger, (presumably) more floatable cargo ship chassis? If I observed correctly, both propellers turn to the same side, right? I know that mono-engined propeller planes tend to twist to one side because of the engine rotation, perhaps that is what's happening here? Try making one of the propellers turn in the opposite direction...
  16. Hi, I'd like to report a bug on this part. Apparently, it can't connect if there is anything underneath it's front "wedge". I tried it with these parts, but no dice. It wouldn't connect. When it doesn't have anything underneath it's front wedge, it connects just fine. If it is already in place, it won't let anything connect to it's underside too... Edit: added a few screencaps for clarification... To mods: you really should up the limit on attachment. 100KBs? What is this, 1996?
  17. Nice to find a fellow Portuguese around these here parts! Sorry for the thread necromancy, but I'm doing a tracked project as well and I'd like to know which rubber bands did you use. I tried it with a box I had lying around, but they were too big. So, my question is, what kind of rubber bands did you use? Where did you get them? What is their perimeter?
  18. Nevermind...
  19. jovel and jonwill: There is a nice little topic here that shows how to put 3 functions through a turntable using only existing parts! I hope you can find what you desire there!
  20. I'm planning to do this also in a MOC using the old type turntable. I'm split between what types of differential to use: do I use the older one with two gears (one 24 teeth at one end, another 16 teeth at the other) or the newer with 28 bevelled teeth? (It'll be used to power cannon elevation in a tank turret, if that helps...)
  21. I think this topic should be indexed. Many great solutions for this particular problem are collected here.
  22. Doesn't it usually change in April?
  23. I'd like to have this one added, please!
  24. Jesus Megablocks Christ, I almost had a heart attack back there! Thanks for clearing that up!
  25. Superkalle, I wholeheartedly agree with your list (after all, the more the merrier!) and I most vigourously second this particular sugestion by Calabar:
